Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Ok now you guys have brought back wonderful memories of my stay at the GF...and I have set up a TP reservation finder to switch my Cape May dinner to 1900 Park Fare on 11/30. It's our resort/rest/no park day and it sure would be fun to smell the lobby again!

I have plans for either Narcoossee's on Friday night or California Grill on Saturday night. They both pipe in music from fireworks. Hoping it is worth all the $$ and hype!!

I had my sisters leftovers from Narcoosees one night on our 2014 trip and it was my best meal all week...and it was leftovers! ;)

Guess who got a text alert and snagged a 4:45 Boma on our AK day!? Woooooot!

:banana::cool1::cheer2:

Yay! I love the alerts. I just heard my text go off 3 times followed by incoming email ding which was my clue it must be from TP. I got our 1900 Park Fare dinner booked. DD3 will love it. And my 3 boys will too...I hear they are great with boys there. Looks like they opened up several spots that week for 1900 PF.

I'm having second thoughts about H&V lunch. My kids are 4.5 and 2.5. They LOVE Jake and know Doc and Sophia (they don't know Handy Manny). I've currently got a lunch reservation for our HS day, but I also have a BOG dinner ADR on that day (just in case). I have been planning on probably dropping the BOG, but now I'm second guessing myself. Seeing the Beast would be fine, but isn't really a big draw for us. But if we already see all the Disney Jr characters do we really need that lunch? But we do have BOG lunch later in the week so it's not like we won't eat there if we do do the H&V lunch.

It's a tough call. We did lunch there in 2014 and it was a zoo. The only reason I'm doing it again is for the PPO JTA signup. However I think it's the only place to meet Jake?

Definitely keep the H&V and just do BOG lunch - since the Beast isn't a huge deal and your kids lvoe the Disney Jr. Characters. BOG dinner was delicious (and probably will taste better than H&V haha) but for the kids it won't be near as fun, nor as big of a variety.

I just read that Stitch's Great Escape will only be open seasonly starting October 2nd, and not open daily. I didn't find any specifics on what days it would be open at this point.

That seems so silly - yes it isn't super popular but it IS an attraction that people do. either keep it open or close it down altogether and put something in its place  Why disney, whyyyyy?!

Well that really IS seasonal. What the heck reasoning I wonder?! So strange.

Over on the other thread they are speculating as to a closure and/or refurb. Rumors or Wreck it Ralph something. They are going off past experience that the last time something went seasonal, it was followed by an eventual permanent closure.

I LOVE Wreck it Ralph so I'm all for it! I think Disney is CRAZY for not giving Stitch something better in the parks anyway. He has such a huge following that a dark ride or even a kids coaster with a Stitch theme would be huge there.

Has anyone been to Restaurant Marrakesh? I just booked for late appetizers/dessert before Illuminations. We're fairly picky eaters but I'm trying to branch out a bit!

Nevermind, switching to Spice Road Table (even though I'm not as interested in their food) for the Illuminations view.

Edit2: Gaaaah who stole my ressie?! Stupid session timed out and now it's gone!

Well I'm not getting anywhere just looking at this myself right now, so I figured I'd share for opinions. All comments welcome! I still seem a long way away from being done. I'll post my chart first and then my thoughts below.

Arrival day: I was planning to stay at Universal longer originally, but we'll have already had 2 full days in Universal. So I think we'll just need enough time to go around and hit our favorites again (definitely the Harry Potter stuff). But I want to leave any early afternoon plans loose so we can play it by ear and stay a little longer at USO if we want.

Day 1: I hope they extend AK hours more. I put Epcot in there with a ? because I think we'll be too exhausted after AK. But you never know. We need to get to bed early this night. I'm not sure of my dining yet either. I need to plan another meal and maybe move the Yak & Yeti later. All depends on the dang ROL schedule!

Day 2: I'm pretty happy with this day. It's a long day for us, so we may want a longer break between parks, or we'll just push through it with the help of caffeine.

Day 3: Um I have no dining at all planned, but otherwise it looks good so far!

Day 4: Ahhh, sleep in day! MVMCP! Not sure what to do beforehand. We could either resort hop or hit up Disney Springs.

Day 5: It seems odd to me that day 5 is our first time at HS! I planned the entire day here to make up for that.

Day 6: AK/HS day to redo our favorites or catch what we've missed. Timing is very loose right now. AK is first due to AM EMH and HS last due to SW fireworks. later evening is open for some late-night entertainment. Maybe Jellyrolls on the BW?

Day 7: MK/EP day to redo our favorites or catch what we've missed. Timing is very loose right now. Since it's a party night at MK I put it first on the agenda, so we'll end our WDW time in Epcot.

So there isn't much to comment on dining-wise, but how is my planned park time looking? Is this a decent breakdown of days per park for 2 adults?
