Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We are in a camper until tomorrow with my in laws. No wifi, and I'm 1/4gb from going over on my data plan. No running water. No electricity without turning on a loud generator.

Send helpppp

Why didn't I bring alcohol?!

Oh my, you are a much better woman than I'll ever be!! :worship:

So I tried to book online, but couldn't...are you folks who did get packages, did you call in for your reservation?

That explains why I got a text about openings for Coral Reef at 3:30am! Without skipping a beat I got on the app, got my reservation and rolled back over and went to sleep. This morning thought it was a dream so I had to check first thing and it was there. Making ADRs in my sleep :D

I booked on line, but did not go through the Candlelight sight. I went through the regular dinning site.

Yes, I recommend looking through the regular dining site! I was able to find a lot more options just searching for reservations at Epcot for the time I wanted than by looking at just the CP page.

Think it's strange that there's nothing available for Garden Grill or Akershus...

Has anyone done cp with a two year old? I'm thinking he isn't going to sit through it and I don't want to set him up for a melt down on our last night.

Does anyone know if a FP is still included for Illuminations with the dinner package for CP? Haven't done this for many years, and way back when, it was an added benefit...doesn't say anything about that now.

I was hoping for Rose & Crown, but nothing available except a night we can't rearrange stuff. I ended up booking San Angel Inn for 11/29. Looked at a 5:15pm time, but its $71.50 for dinner at San Angel Inn?!! Booked a lunch instead. There sure isnt too many available times and restaurants to choose from.

Akershus just opened up a ton of availability, for CP and regular.

I got non-CP Akershus for 5:00 pm on 11/28.

I got a Captain's Grille (at Yacht Club) breakfast reservation for 9:20 (for 8:15 CP) originally, but called in and was able to change it to 8:00. I plan on showing up about 7:39, hoping they can seat us early, so we can walk over to Epcot and be there for rope drop.

I am also ecstatic that Neil Patrick Harris is the narrator on the 28th, which I already had scheduled as our first Ecpcot day.

Now the only ADRs I'm still hoping for are 8:00 am Be Our Guest on 11/27. It's not a huge deal if I don't get that, because I have that for 12/4. I also want to change our 12/2 4:15 Yak and Yeti to a later dinner time. Pretty sure that availability will open up if they extend AK nighttime hours for December, which they haven't announced yet.

Today is a very good day!

So how difficult is it to see the CP if you don't have seating via the dining package? Just not sure I want to spend 2 credits or pay for a meal out of pocket . . .

I grabbed a reservation for 12/1 at Biergarten - in part because we really enjoyed it last time, but also because it was the cheapest and we will probably pay out of pocket - assuming we keep the ADR. I really want to go (NPH!!!!) but I am not sure if DH and DD will be too thrilled. I have about 150 days to convince them!

I had talked myself out of a PPO Akershus reservation but lo and behold, a bunch opened up today. So I now have an 8:30 reservation for Akershus on 11/29, and a late lunch reservation the same day for CRT. And to add more choices, I'm now considering a 1900PF dinner instead of those. So I need to pick only one. I think I'll wait until we tell the kids and then ask DD what she prefers - my 5-year-old DS who will be with us will be down with whatever, I'm sure, he's pretty easygoing. And wait to see how crazy Norway remains - 8:30 may not even be early enough if they make you wait until your actual time to be seated.
