Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I wear ears at certain times....definitely not all day because its too difficult taking them on/off for rides and throwing them in the backpack. I bought the fun festive Minnie ears that I will be rocking this trip.

Were they pretty comfortable? I dont normally wear headbands, but may need to make an exception this trip!!

I've been killing time on Pinterest today (way more fun than cleaning or working!) - how cute is this?!

Oh, well, that's adorable.

The light-up ear hats are super tempting

I KNOW!! I think with it getting dark earlier, my kids would love a light up hat. There was a pic of SUPER COOL light up star wars ones, I'm hoping I can find those there for them since we will be at HS our first day.

They were comfortable enough...snug at first but you get used to it. Much easier than wearing the hats with ears. The headband ears are fine for a few hours at a time and definitely for photo ops.

Star Wars light up hats you say...

Speaking of Star Wars, I spent far, far too much time on Etsy yesterday and came across this gem. I would so love to deck out the family in these!

THOSE ARE SO COOL!!!

but man are they expensive! I may need to make a vinyl iron on and surprise my husband. though he has a sweet Chewy shirt to wear already haha
Right? It would be like $125 for my family of 5 - not that they're not worth it, it's just a leeeetle bit out my budget, lol. Now if she just sold the iron-ons without the shirts, maybe... If you do it you have to let us know how it turns out! What Chewy shirt does he have?

And now speaking of Chewy shirts, was it on this thread the other day we were talking about Walmart having some clearance Disney/Marvel/Star Wars shirts? I ran over to ours to see if they had any and this was the only one I found:

DH wasn't interested, lol.

Oh my goodness, your comment made me go check Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Ch...141123011&keywords=chewbacca+shirt&th=1&psc=1

Dh is tall with sandy-brown hair and a brown beard. My brother once called him "Chewy" because when he gets a little shaggy he does kind of seem rather wookie-like. I've been longing for him to be "harrassed" by storm troopers at Launch Bay. My dream goes something like this:

Stormtrooper to dh: "We're going to need to see your identification."
Me to stormtrooper *waving hand*: "You don't need to see his identification... this isn't the wookie you're looking for."

Ah!!! My heart pounds just imagining it!

I've been toying with the idea of making DH and I Han and Leia shirts with the "I love you/I know" on them. DH would think it was silly but might humor me if there's no crazy graphic...possible Han's silhouette.

Hoping to find these too! The Star Wars ones particularly looks cute! (but heard they are normally sold out)

Hahaha... I want to buy DH that and dare him to wear it.

This is my 10th year homeschooling at least one kid. This year, the 9th and 5th grader are in a private school, the 1st grader is homeschooled, and the 1 year old is along for the ride.

That's what I say about our one year old (youngest of 4 and also our Disney baby)...he's just along for the ride. Thankfully he never seems to mind.

If I go into Hobby Lobby before Halloween I just quickly walk by the Xmas stuff diverting my eyes. I am a one Holiday at a time girl!

Speaking of Christmas, what are the top resorts to see for decorations and why? I would like to go see a couple if we have time.

Only 1 holiday at a time for me too. I can't handle the stress! LOL!

Hobby lobby has had stuff out for months haha. Bring it, I wish Christmas lasted for months. My tree ususally stays up most of January too
DD bday is in December. Even though she's only 3 I feel like she gets the short end of the stick. Last year I was going to wait until after her birthday to put up the tree and she asked where our tree was. Lol. I got a real tree last year and that sucker had to come down ASAP.

That's a great question! I don't have any time at all allotted for DS yet, I'm hoping we can get over there at some point but I don't know. There's a Vera Bradley store I'd love to check out, and of course the Lego store and the big Disney store. But my DH, who is a usually really good sport and up for just about anything else, hates shopping and can be a real wet blanket. I wish there was some way for me to go by myself!
I think they put DH on a watch list last time we were in the Disney store as DS. He asked some old man that worked there where all their "frozen crap" was.

I wanted to make sure we saw Wilderness Lodge & Grand Floridian, so I've got meals booked at both (Whispering Canyon & 1900 Park Fare). I love holiday decorations!!

We're staying at the Boardwalk, and I've heard decor there is nice too, as well as the Yacht & Beach. I think most of the Deluxes do a nice job.
BC has a gingerbread carousel that is quite amazing. I didn't love YC as much. We're going to monorail resort hop one night to look at the Christmas decor.
