Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I wanted to make sure we saw Wilderness Lodge & Grand Floridian, so I've got meals booked at both (Whispering Canyon & 1900 Park Fare). I love holiday decorations!!

We're staying at the Boardwalk, and I've heard decor there is nice too, as well as the Yacht & Beach. I think most of the Deluxes do a nice job.

If I go into Hobby Lobby before Halloween I just quickly walk by the Xmas stuff diverting my eyes. I am a one Holiday at a time girl!

Speaking of Christmas, what are the top resorts to see for decorations and why? I would like to go see a couple if we have time.

I'm planning to hit up all of the deluxes with a resort bar crawl, and on a seperate day a brunch at AKL.

The Beach Club is a MUST do. I wish I had the pictures on my computer at work to show....they had a gingerbread carousel and another gingerbread village. Also GF for the gingerbread house.

Oh that sounds awesome!! We may need to walk over and see this on our Epcot day.

I know nada about the Epcot resorts, I'm afraid if I go in a deluxe I'll be so sad to go back to my Value room LOL. Happens every time I walk into the Poly

We went to the GF one year for 1900 and completely missed the gingerbread house. I have no idea how lol
Hopefully we have some time to check out resorts. I didn't book any ADRs at resorts. Kind of bummed I didn't

I definitely have been whining asking "when will we make enough to stay at Beach Club?" since we visited. Someday! . Definitely worth the walk over...it was the greatest resort decor we saw because it was so unique and we visited quite a few.

I definitely have been whining asking "when will we make enough to stay at Beach Club?" since we visited. Someday! . Definitely worth the walk over...it was the greatest resort decor we saw because it was so unique and we visited quite a few.

Since I couldn't stomach splurging on the Poly for FD, we are splurging for our one night room only and staying at Beach Club. I'm so excited!!

It was one of my "must dos" to see the deluxe resorts. I'm considering it a fact-finding mission because it was really hard to pick a resort for this trip! I was indecisive for so long that we ended up missing my top choice. And I also want to show them all to DH so he's more inclined to return to WDW in the future and actually have at least a little opinion when I say "where should we stay?".

I was trying to avoid booking ADRs at resorts mainly because it's easier to eat in the park we're in. But I did get an Ohana for when we travel from MK to EP (going to be taking the monorail anyway!), and a Boma at AKL as an excuse to actually go see AKL! For all the rest we will just explore, stop in the lounge/bar and get a cocktail and/or appetizer then move on to the next. That's going to be our lunch and dinner on our first day at WDW. And hopefully I can plan it so we are somewhere where we can see the fireworks during MVMCP when those happen.

Do any of you wear mouse ears/ear headbands in the parks? I sorta feel like I want a pair for this trip...but my kids likely wont wear them for any length of time and my DH for sure won't participate haha.

they just look so cute and festive...maybe I can DIY a cheap headband that way I don't spend $$$ on something in the parks

I've thought about it, but DH and I are more likely to wear a baseball hat of some kind. I did see some really cute mouse ears on Etsy. And I've also seen some great DIY ideas too.

I wear ears at certain times....definitely not all day because its too difficult taking them on/off for rides and throwing them in the backpack. I bought the fun festive Minnie ears that I will be rocking this trip.

My kids wore those that night and I took them over to the boardwalk to look around while Dh and the teens were at DHS for F! I was actually surprised they wanted to wear them but made sure to take a few pictures so I could remember it. We took the boat back to Beach Club when we were done and a young guy (probably in his 20's) commented to ds that he was "rockin' those ears!" lol

awww! Love! did they keep them on a lot?

Last trip the boys were so hot they took their ear hats off after a few hours...they never wore them into the parks either, only our first DS/monorail tour/dinner at Ohana day. Maybe with cooler nov/dec weather they will keep them on!
