We are considering another trip to Disney World and we are looking at either the week after Thanksgiving or one of the first two weeks in December. We have done the week after Thanksgiving before but I noticed free dining is out and I don’t know if that will greatly impact crowd levels or not. Between one of those three weeks, do of you fellow Disers have suggestions or recommendations on which would be better? We are going to take our nephew on his first trip. Poor kid is 16 and has never been to WDW!!!

I would go with the week of Dec 9. There is FD the week after Thanksgiving (but there was probably FD the year you went too, so you should have an idea of that impact). FD also starts again on Dec 8, but it runs through Dec 23, so not sure it has much of an impact. The first week of Dec is Pop Warner week. Not a huge impact on crowds during the day, but in the evening and later in the week as many lose in the competition, the crowds do grow.
