For those who are doing their own websites, what site did you use? A friend of mine used momentville, but, and this is probably very silly of me because it was a very nice site, the name momentville just seems kind of lame.

Are there any standard sites you or friends know of to use? Do these sites usually cost money? I am brand new to all this planning nonsense as I just proposed to my fiancee a few weeks ago!

I am using theknot.com which is ok. Basic, well known, gives a lot of advice along the way! Congratulations!

I made a whole custom one from weddingwire.com and found it really easy to do (basically all my pages are custom).

I also chose weddingwire.com after looking through mutliple sites. They have the most to choose from in terms of color and design templates and lets you choose the ending part of the domain name and has the option to play music that you choose.

You can use standard templates for each page or create your own with an unlimited amount of categories. It also has a countdown - which not all have. The site also is locked by a password you set so it is secure from non-guests.

I am just including the facebook app link on my welcome page if anyone wants the discounted tickets or rooms.

Hope this has helped!

I used webs.com, very user friendly tons of templates, and you can use both the simple version and they have an HTML option. I have my website posted on the first page of my PJ.

I found the other free websites were just too basic for me, and this was the next best thing instead of paying for my own domain and using HTML from scratch.

I'm using mywedding.com. I have found that it's very simple to use, but I can customize it the way I want. I also found that it was the best site for us with the layout design.

I'm using weddingwindow.com. You get a free trial for 10 days. But then after that you have to pay. I compared it to some of the free sites, and I like it much better. Enough that I was willing to shell out money!
