I'm not a big fan of the top hat with ears since i can't seem to find a top hat to fit my big noggin. haha

But I saw a guy walking around at Disney once wearing a baseball cap with ears. Can you buy these? Make em?

Anybody know what I"m talking about? Any particular hat to recommend to use if we have to make them?

Thanks,

Sir Ron

Welcome to the DIS Ron!

Here is the baseball style cap that I plan to attach ears to Groom's Cap

My hubby's head is too large for the top hat style hat. I have an old set of ears that I'm going to use for this cap.

When is your wedding?

Our wedding is December 2007! Thanks for the link and your help!

There's also a black hat that has white wording that just says, "Groom" that would also look good with the black ears! You can find it at any party shop just about! Good luck! :thumbsup2

I made my disney ears with the veil by taking a halloween costume for rabbit ear headband and cutting the ears off. Then I used the "fur" material from the ears to cover cardboard mouse ears and used hot glue to attach the ears. The headband had fur that covered the connection so you cannot tell at all. The grooms cap seems a bigger problem. I got black foam from Michaels and cut out circles. I am going to cover the foam with black fabric, but I am not sure how to attach the ears. I think fabric glue would work better since it will be thinner but I am guessing that the circles would need a flat edge.... I have looked online but it is hard to find anything about the execution out there!

You know how most baseball hats have holes on the tops? I wonder if they would be in the right place to maybe use brads to attach the ears through the holes. I wonder if that would be uncomfortable once you bent the brads back :confused3

That is so smart! I wonder if you could sew it at the bottom with a hand needle to keep it stable?
