We used Impressions for a LOT of things.
There is a mistaken belief that Impressions is expensive, but when I compared apples to apples (custom letterpress to custom letterpress) they were the same. You will end up paying more if you choose a custom Disney design (as we did) because they have to charge licensing fees (Disney's rules). I think that is what turns people off, but they are the only "official" way to get custom Disney invitations. I had also worked with a non-Disney affiliated company to work on a custom Disney invite, and the mouse ears were just a little bit "off" because they're not supposed to look exactly like Disney's version. In the end, I was much happier with Impressions.
Of course, you can also choose from the pre-designed ones, which you could get from any other invitation company, as well.
It took Impressions a little longer than I liked to get back to me initially. I think this is because they get flooded with requests since they are recommended by DFTW, but judging from the boards, only a fraction of brides actually end up using them. I put pressure on my planner, who put pressure on them, and once our relationship was established, it was honestly like having a second planner that handled all my "details" including the setup (place cards, menus, table diagrams, etc.).
Again, all of that can add up due to licensing costs if you used Disney images.
Here's our invites:
I hope that helps. You honestly won't know until you talk to them, but they are willing to work within a budget and suggest alternate courses of action to meet that budget.
