Hi everyone this question is from my wife to be, well and me i suppose. The other day she was reading a wedding book and it was saying all the things to sort out, now on their was wedding insurance. My question is do any of you get wedding insurance, we are from the uk so not sure if we need to look into this or not. Thanks for anyone who can help.

i was looking into it but it really only covers the things for a few days before and after the wedding, as we are getting married oin florida i'm going to look for travel insurance with added wedding cover on it.

we have a yearly with atlas direct and do the option for wedding insurance on single cover travel insurance so i'm going to call them and get it added for our trip in aug

Ok thanks for that sara will look into doing that also. Hope all your wedding plans are going well.

we did phone around to enquire about this, but it was best to be added into your travel insurance. We found there were alot of restrictions on the wedding insurance, and because we got married abroad and then had a reception at home they couldn't cover both as the policy has a set timescale. Our at home reception fell outside this timeframe.... Hope this helps.

We're getting wedding insurance in case anything happens and we have to cancel the whole trip.

Also, we've started paying for certain things already (dress!) and if anything happens before we book the actual wedding and travel insurance we want to be covered for that eventuality.

We're actually spending very little on our 'at home' reception so, for us, it doesn't matter that that isn't covered

Debenhams have some of the best deals.

We took out wedding insurance for destination weddings. Travel insurance wouldn't cover the cost of my wedding dress. It covers the ceremony and our reception but not our dessert party.

Ok thanks for all your help, i will price up both ways me thinks and see from there. Thanks again.

I'm having an escape wedding... is it worth it? (the insurance i mean). I'm guessing at the end of the day the value of it will still be less than a wishes (<$10K)
