has anyone found undergarments they love?

i need something to pull in, push up, etc but be COMFORTABLE too

and pretty would be nice also

has anyone found figure improving, comfortable, pretty underthings for their wedding day???!

:)

I wanted something to pull in and push up too, so I went with a corset dress (it laced up the back)!! It was absolutely perfect. Once I was laced in, believe me, NOTHING was moving an inch. lol. I had cups built into it, so I didn't even need to wear a bra underneath. All I had on under the gown were my white Victoria's Secret thong panties ;) I bought 3 pairs of panties and then ended up wearing the most comfy pair. My good friend needed something similar to me, but she ended up just getting a regular corset to wear underneath her strapless gown. She said it was the most uncomfortable thing she'd ever worn. Nasty thing. Conversely, my dress was VERY comfy, especially considering how heavy it was.

Personally, and this may be a cliche, but I love Victoria's Secret. It may be a little pricier than a department store, but to me, they fit better and are better made. On top of which, most of their stuff is either adorable or sexy, so it fits everything! :) They've got bridal lingerie as well. P.S. The semi-annual sale is going on right now online, and in the stores starting the last two weeks or so of June. Yay!

I was adviced to check out Dillard's selection, but the bridal shop where I purchased my veil. They were definitely right, I found their selection to be bigger then Victoria's Secret. And I loved what the corset I found did to my tummy. :)

I bought a corset at Fredericks of Hollywood (Dream Corset I believe). It had a lace up back, and definately sucked things in and pushed up others. It wasn't the most comfortable as I ahve a shorter torso but it was definately much more comfortable than a Merry Widow type corset that I'd worn a few years before. I also bought undies there that said "Bride" on them in blue.

WHERE DID YOU BUY YOUR CORSET DRESS???!!! :)

It was by Maggie Sottero and it was called Moulin Rouge. I don't think they are making that particular style anymore though--I bought it last summer (2005). When you are shopping around for your gown, just tell the sales people that you'd like to try on a dress with a corset back. I'm sure they'll have at least a couple on hand for you to check out. I highly recommend it--my dress was wonderful :)

I purchased a Felina long-line bra from Macy's to wear under my wedding gown. It was a little expensive, but I can't really afford to be picky. Victoria's Secret has cute things, but almost *never* in my size (I'm rather busty), and none of their wedding stuff fits me (well, except panties and I can get those anywhere).

I bought my corset off of lingerieexotique.com. It is the "stunning long line jacquard corset", ID #174570, in white. It has a lace up back, comes with matching thong, and garter. It fit perfectly, just the way I wanted. Once you go on the site, it is the third one over at the top of the page. It is very slimming and definitely helps in the bust area :teeth: Way worth the price.

Hope this helps!

I had a boned bodice so I had cups sewn in and didn't wear a bra (put in those silicone "chicken breast" pads though! LOL

At David's Bridal, I had tried on this seamless microfiber longline bra that was amazing! It held everything in and also pushed up pretty well - it was also really comfy! Had I gone with a DB dress, I would have gotten that. I believe it is by Felina, so you don't have to get it at DB. They also have something similar at Victoria's secret.

I believe this is it:

panties I wore blue body by victoria bikinis. No thongs or boy shorts for me...I went with what was most comfy... :)

I was lucky that my dress fit perfectly without much underneath - oh that sounds bad  I wanted to be comfortable above all else. I got the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy convertable bra and wore it strapless style. I got it before I even tried on dresses so I'd know if it would work under the dress I picked. And just the most comfy pair of panties I owned! No stockings, nothing else - comfort, comfort, comfort :teeth:

I have that corset too (but didn't wear it under my wedding gown). The Dream Corset is THE BEST corset because it fits so many sizes - 32 to 42 and AA to DD.

I had bought a longline bra at Lady Grace to go under my dress. The dress didn't fit right and pushed me up to much. My dress had enough boning in it that I didn't need to wear anything at all. I didn't even have cups sewn into it. The dress never moved and it was pretty heavy.

I did buy a nice VS panty though.

I second the Fredericks corset, it really works. Mine had hooks in the back. I needed more 'pushing up' than sucking in, and I found the Fredericks stuff was more serious about shaping than other brands.

We ended up calling it the 'lucky corset' and my girlfriends (all teeny up top like me) borrowed it for their weddings :)
