I have a friend who's getting married in Disney World. There's a group of us who want to get the couple a unique Disney-themed gift. Something along the lines of the "Leave a Legacy" or the bricks, but not that. Something memorable and creative. I called the wedding planner number from the website, but they were no help. They said it's impossible to actually talk to someone from Francks. Any ideas???

Thanks :)

you could book through disney florist to have a gift basket or flowers delivered to their room or room service at their resort & request wine & strawberries. you could book them a wishes firework cruise 407-wdw-play $190, a honeymoon photo shoot in one of the themeparks $225 407-827-5099 or a wdw behind the scenes tour 407-wdw-tour.

You could book a character to visit their room. When we were there quite a few years ago, our daughter got quite ill while on the trip. We were staying in a tent at Fort Wilderness at the time, and it was raining and unseasonably cold. I went to the front desk at Fort Wilderness asking for referrals to a local doctor. Not only did the staff at Fort Wilderness arrange for us to move to Caribbean Beach Resort at no extra charge (without me even asking!), but they sent Minnie Mouse to the room to cheer her up. I have never seen someone light up so much! It was truly one of the most memorable moments of all our Disney trips... and one of the many reasons we return to Disney again and again. I think a private visit from a character would be something that would make them feel very, very special! ~Ev

You can book the Segway tour for them - or maybe one of the Behind the Sceans tours.

First of all--I think that is SO sweet of you--i so wished that someone would do that, and it didn't really happen. I guess the first question is the budget you are working with...then I think there are so many beautiful options. I'm going to reserve comment til I have a budget to work with:)

Well there are seven of us....so somewhere between $200-$300.

Thanks for all your ideas everyone!

My parents purchased us a beautiful Disney Wedding Globe. It plays the beautiful Disney inspired music and looks amazing sitting next to our DFW folio. It was a surprise gift that they gave to us at our post-celebration. It truly touched our hearts and is a constant reminder of our most magical day. You could couple this with another beautiful gift to complete a memorable gift.

Oh, have you seen the movie wedding posters? They are quite unique and could be a post wedding, or anniversary gift (one month gift/ six month gift). Don't know how long it takes to make but most of the creators take a picture of them on their wedding day and turn it into cute movie poster. Take a look at one at Stan's website. I think it costs around $200.

Let me end by saying what a terrific friend you are! :rainbow:

Take care...

My sister bought us a really neat painting from the Art of Disney store in Down Town Disney that is Lady and the Tramp kissing. It was probably our best wedding present. That store had all kinds of different types of art that would be very neat to give as a gift.

Something similar was one of our favorite gifts also! In the $2-300 range, you can really do a lot of nice stuff. Something with disneyfloral would be fabulous. Something you could do that would really last a lifetime would be a honeymoon photo shoot. I believe it is $250 and allows them to pick a park or resort where they want photos taken by the Disney photographer. I didn't do it, but maybe someone else who did could fill you in. I think JonetteA did that with Randy (but not in the parks) and her pics came out so cool. It would be nice to have some great pics in casual clothing rather than just wedding attire. I love the globe idea suggested. Also, a lot of options are at Arribas Brothers in Downtown disney--collectible wise and they engrave a lot of stuff. You get a 10% discount there is you are an AP holder or a DVC member. Personally I think the Leave the Legacy is really nice--you can do just words, you don't have to do photos. You might think about pre-wedding wedding gifts too...one of our dear friends purchased toasting flutes for us that now have a place of honor in our china cabinet. A trip out on the Grand to watch the fireworks, although that won't be tangible. I'll keep thinking:)

They're going on the Disney cruise for their honeymoon. I don't know if there's anything they can be surprised with on there???

Yes, there is!! You can order directly through Disney Cruise Line and have gifts in the room when they check into the cabin..I'll try to find a link. I ordered a gift for my son (and myself) to be in the cabin when we got there. Disney Cruise Lines Gifts Link
(I really wouldn't suggest ordering food/wine for the inroom gifts...they have SOOO much food on the cruises that it wouldn't be worth the money...you can order alot of stuff from room service for free while on the ship).

Also you could put money on their account ahead of time and send them a card stating that is for a couples massage (they can have it on the ship...or even more romantic in a open cabana on the Adult Beach on Disney's Private Island...Castaway Cay!!) Or any other type of Spa Treatment they would like to set up.

Or you can put money in their account for a picture package. They take so many good pictures on the cruise it is hard to limit what you pick. If they love pictures this would be great!!
