Wedding gift Thank-you...vent coming

I had written out the envelopes prior to the wedding, and finished the cards within days of the wedding. Anal? you decide

No..........you are NOT anal.......you are my kind of gal! I did that for BOTH my wedding gifts AND both baby announcements. People got their thank yous while I was still on my honeymoon......"How did she do that", and they also got thank you notes while I was still in hospital for kids (back then (20 yrs) one was in hospital for 2-3 days.

These stories are terrible to listen to! where is Miss Manners when we need her!

the rule at our house is that you can't use or play with the gift until the thank you has been written. Works like a charm.

I sent one out thanking a woman in my husband's family for an under the cabinet can opener she'd gotten us and I informed her how much use we were getting out of it. It was a LONG time later, but I finally got around to opening the box to find out, the can opener was actually not a can opener at all. She'd used that box to wrap up something else. I was SPEECHLESS I tell ya!

You think she might have known I lied?
