Wedding Crasher: Lurkyloo’s 4 Parties in 3 Nights with 2 Cameras and 1 Fabulous Hat

Oh.

Mah.

Gawd.

I *loved* The State, and when I mention it, I usually get this totally blank expression from people.

I remember running around the gym in HS when we were playing ping pong holding up the balls and yelling "I dipped my ballz in it!"

:rotfl2: That is HIGH-larious! My brother and I were also big on quoting them (and Monty Python, and Fawlty Towers... and Ducktales... :rotfl:) My mom really got into the State too, and "I wanna dip my balls in it" was her all-time favorite!

i know its been said by many but now its my turn..... uhm...

THE ROOTS TAKE AMAZING PHOTOS!

phew~ i feel so much better. lol but seriously there are number one on my list if we ever decide to have a DFTW. which by the way you wont have to crash... bc you will be invited. as long as you can write my trip report. bc you have the magic touch of making us all feel like we are right there along side with you. when we are truley in our bathrobes and sipping coffee way early in the morning.

:goodvibes Whohoo! Thanks for the pre-invite! I do think it would be funny to write someone's trip report for them, but I have to warn you - it will be highly inaccurate.... ;)

Carrie - I am about to BLOW your mind....

Joe Lo Truglio and I were friends in high school...Go look at my facebook..He was very funny...I remember how estatic I got the first time I saw him on The State.

That RULES! :thumbsup2 Joe Lo Truglio is so cute and funny! You definitely trump my going to school with but not actually knowing the director of "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" :lmao: :worship:

ToT is so my fave!

Nice pics!

Isn't ToT fabulous? I love how even if you've ridden it a bunch, you still have at least one split-second of not being able to breathe cuz you're so surprised!

I ALWAYS get the pre-ride jitters on RnR, and these photos do NOTHING to ease them!

Sorry....! :rolleyes1 I think it might be even worse when you're waiting for the takeoff and it *doesn't* happen, cuz then you think it could happen at any time!

Okay, call me strange, but last night when I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and couldn’t get back to sleep I thought I needed to give you a recipe for nothing other than Frosted Peanut Butter Brownies since that seems to be a passion of yours. So yes, this is OT. Sorry!!!

Thanks for the recipe! I knew it was a winner when I got to the part where you use and ENTIRE JAR of peanut butter! :rotfl: So hearing that your fambly devours it reconfirms my first impression. I can't wait to make these (unfortunately, at the moment, my jar of peanut butter is half empty...)

Great Update

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it!

Or it would say, "Time to downtown: 60 minutes".

Exactly - and the worst part is, the sign is always right!

Geez, those Roots can take a picture of anything and make it gorgeous! This bodes very well for me! ;)

:rotfl2:

Oh Carrie! I so think I see your grandma in this pic!:rotfl2:

Whoa - you're right! And boy was she a hot number! :cutie:

Wow! Your trip reports are the second best thing since bread came sliced (I told the Roots that they were the best yesterday!) Your TR was hilarious! I've even got Rob reading it - and cracking up as I type.

More please!

Whohoo! More readers... my evil plan that I don't know what it is is WORKING! <------ (diabolical laughter)

Miss Carrie, I am a HUGE fan of your TRs! Love your great sense of humor and it makes me smile that you are friends with Jensey and Nathan after they photographed your wedding. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside for some reason.

Aw, you know, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside too! They should come with a warning: "Watch out - you WILL become friends with these people!"

Strangely enough, that reminds me of this:
... By reading your TRs, I learn something new everyday

Ooh! I love your lil' robot guy! I never would have spotted him - great eye! Also, I am very flattered that you learn something new every day from my TRs - that's the slogan of Martha Stewart's Sirius radio channel! I am therefore going to extrapolate it to mean that I am as clever as Martha Stewart (except for that whole illegal insider stock info part...) :lmao:

Just love your trip report it is fantastic-it makes me think I am right there with you, wish I could write as descriptive as you do and with a sense of humor as well. I am a huge WDW and Disneyland fan. I was lucky enough to be at Disneyland on opening day a long long time ago. Actually eons ago. We still go back as often as we can and do WDW a few times a year. I have been lurking here but had to tell you-Thanks for the Memories

WOW! You got to go to opening day at Disneyland?! That is amazing! :worship: I would love to read THAT trip report (although I suspect you were a teeny tiny baby and don't remember anything :cutie:). Thank you for coming out of lurkdom to share! :goodvibes

darn you all!! I just got back from Target with PB chips and chocolate chips and marshmallows (i have several jars of PB since I have an 11 year old who lives on PB&J ...going to page 37 to get the recipe!

i had to go back and look at the picture..I made them in a 13x9 glass pyrex but I think the picture you posted had pb chips mixed in the chocolate...darn it..now I will have to make it again after we finish this pan...

and I totally blame YOU for my falling off the wagon...I am looking at you CARRIE!! Darn you..you are just trying to make me fat because I called out the next video contest!!!

Gorgeous pictures again.

Hey it does make you wonder who will take Aerosmiths place. I mean they aren't getting any younger. What group has that kind of longevity these days?

Carrie:

I am afraid I will miss the exciting conclusion of your TR, since I am leaving TODAY for my trip!:cool1: I know you always end your TR's with some type of surprise, so I'm anxious to know what that might be!

Anyhoo....thanks for keeping me superbly entertained during my final waiting days for my trip to Kidani. I can't believe that in 12 hours I will be there!

BTW - did you ever go visit? Those are some Roots photos I would love to see. In fact, is it too late to arrange a meeting for some of their famous photos???? :rotfl: wouldn't that be a sweet souvenier?

Kinda dumb question - is the butter/peanut butter/chocolate mixture really pourable? Because I can't wrap my brain around putting the marshmallows in the pan and then putting the butter/etc. mixture on top. How does it get all mixed together?

OMG I totally just remembered a recipe that you guys would love. My mom used to make them all the time. They're called Marble Bars and they're made with corn syrup, Cocoa Krispies, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. :cloud9: So good!!!! Really easy, too. And you can rationalize that it's good for you because there are vitamins in the cereal.

AEROSMITH! I dont think they will ever go out of style. i love them!

yes..the butter and the PB and chocolate become like melted chocolate...you pour them over the marshmallows and then I spread it out to make it even...My only problem is when I tried to cut it, it kinda doesn't want to break..almost like the chocolate is too soft..I think next time I will buy an aluminum disposable tray and "break" it into pieces..It is just too melty

Oh I am finding this TR soooooooo late but I just obsessively read all 45 pages... LOVE IT. You crack me up Carrie. I know it's been said but you really are a talented writer. And your food porn is top notch. :thumbsup2

How how how did I miss this trip report?! Love it. Just devoured it all in one sitting.

However it's making me more and more depressed that I can't afford the Roots for our wedding.... and making me more and more tempted to rob a bank so that I may do so

I love peanut butter and chocolate anything. Those squares are making me hungry. Even the melty ones - who am I kidding, especially the melty ones.

More!! More!!

:rotfl:Jonas Brothers or maybe it can be sponsered by High School Musical #57:rotfl::rotfl:

oh NO! :scared1: I would seriously never want to make you fall off the wagon. I'm so sorry  ...But I do wonder how many points one of those bars is worth.... :scratchin

Gorgeous pictures again.

I was about to suggest U2, but they're getting a little long in the tooth themselves. I know what you mean about the longevity... I'm stumped!

Whoa - congratulations on your trip! Aren't you the lucky little bozo?! :rotfl: The surprise ending will be waiting for you when you come back... that is, if I can't figure out a way to stretch out the report of the last few hours of my trip even longer!

Oh, and Jensey and I never made it over to Kidani, so it is up to YOU to take some gorgeous photos for the rest of us. :)

:lmao: I love it! Say, they sound a bit like Special K cookies, where you mix the cereal with corn syrup and peanut butter... oh wait, we don't wanna make Betsy fall off the wagon. I'll zip my lip....

AEROSMITH! I dont think they will ever go out of style. i love them!

:goodvibes They do seem to have a knack for hanging in there!

Yeah, these are almost fudgy, they're so melty. Melty-ly DELICIOUS!

Say, thanks! Perhaps I have a future as a food porn star... :rotfl:

:rotfl: I think they have that effect on people. However, better to stay on the straight and narrow. If you like, I can PM you the names of some photogs who are closer to the Roots style than some of the more popular ones mentioned on the weddings board. :thumbsup2

Bite your TONGUE! :faint: :cutie:

:rotfl:Jonas Brothers or maybe it can be sponsered by High School Musical #57:rotfl::rotfl:

My boyfriend is always joking that Rockin' Roller Coaster will turn into a Jonas Brothers ride, Tower of Terror will turn into the Suite Life, and Test Track will be turned into "Miley Cyrus Takes her Driver's Test!" I hope we never see the day that it actually happens though! :scared1:

Suscribing! I pretty much did my work today in between reading your trip report:rotfl: Great antidote for boring Mondays! You are a riot!

Are you gonna be in the World on August 31st???

OK guys, here's the recipe for Marble Bars ~

But first, I feel the need for a disclaimer. I'm 46 years old so this recipe is at least 38 years old, and back then I don't think foods had as much sugar in them as they do today, hence the addition of the sugar. :confused3 That's my theory at least! When I make them, I use 1/2 the sugar and I wonder if it could be eliminated altogether. However, not being a food chemist I keep using some just in case it serves some other purpose. On to the yumminess!

1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Cocoa Krispies
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Put sugar and corn syrup in large saucepan or dutch oven; stir to combine. Cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently, only until mixture begins to bubble. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter. Mix well. Add Cocoa Krispies and stir well. Add chocolate chips; stir. Press mixture into buttered 13 X 9 X 2 pan. Cool and serve.

Enjoy! Great with a tall, cold glass of milk. :cloud9:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:Probably true!

The Aerosmith discussion reminded me: Carrie, were you a fan or unfan of 'Rockin' Space Mountain' with The Red Hot Chili Peppers? ;)

The first time Will and I went, they still had that, so I only experienced it once. We hope they bring it back someday - but without the trippy lights inside. Music + darkness & stars would be awesome. Or maybe just trippy stars... but the disco-ish lights were way too bright.

(Which is exactly why he listens to 'Higher Ground' on his earbuds every time we ride it :rotfl:).

Yes! God forbid we should ever see the day Miley Cyrus gets a license! :lmao:

Yay! Glad I could contribute an online time waster for ya! I WISH I were gonna be at WDW August 31... and in September... October would be nice, too. Oh, and November! And of course December... :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Wasn't sugar one of the four food groups back then? I know my dad was raised on Dr. Pepper and Hostess Cherry Pies...

Thanks for the recipe. :thumbsup2 I'm gonna need a Blurb book for all of these!

You know, I don't even remember it. Wait... it's coming back to me... no... it's gone... wasn't it only available on Grad Nite? Wait! I think I remember the music, but I don't remember the lights... :sad1: This conversation is making me feel OLD!

I think Will has a great idea, though - maybe next time I ride Space Mountain at the MK I'll listen to Michael Giacchino's Disneyland Space Mountain soundtrack in MY earbuds. :lmao:
