I do remember the song (YES.... I am old) but sure don't remember Johnny Horton .... seeing how it was the year we were born.... I guess it is OK not to remember who he was.

The hot song the day my DH was born was is "The song from Moulin Rouge" by Percy Faith and his Orchestra..... at least my song is more upbeat

Mine was I'll Never Smile Again with Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra, with a fairly new singer named Frank Sinatra doing the vocal.

Actually I had seen something similar on Facebook a few months ago. My Google Search showed that five days after my birth was the first time Billboard had done a report on nationwide sales; previously it was limited to only a few areas.
