Website: What Song was Number One on the Billboard Charts on the Day You Were Born ?

Apparently it's Honey by Bobby Goldsboro. I never even heard this song and when I looked it up on YouTube I didn't care for it. Can I get a do-over?:confused3

Sugar Shack by Jimmy Gilmer & the Fireballs

Yeah, never heard of it.

The funny thing though is that for every other year in the '60s I have heard of the song, but not for the year I was born. (My second birthday was "Yesterday", which would have been much better.)

I missed "American Pie" by 2 weeks, and Al Green's "Lets Stay Together" by one week. What did I get? "Without You" by Nilsson. You know it...you just don't know you know it.

"Can't live....if living is without you...Can't Live....Can't give anymore."

Wish I had been born two weeks earlier!

Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter by Herman's Hermits.

Neat site. :thumbsup2

'Love is a Many Splenderd Thing' on October 6th, 1955... The following year it was 'Hound Dog' by Elvis - Thanks mom and dad!!! You coudn't control yourself one more year so I could have a cool "opening day" song!!!

"The Battle of New Orleans" by Johnny Horton

I do remember the song (YES.... I am old) but sure don't remember Johnny Horton .... seeing how it was the year we were born.... I guess it is OK not to remember who he was.

The hot song the day my DH was born was is "The song from Moulin Rouge" by Percy Faith and his Orchestra..... at least my song is more upbeat :rotfl:

Fun site. Thanks for sharing

Marty Joe- I'm with you- October 1955 was a terrible month for songs...:sad2:
Mine is Autumn Leaves by Roger Williams (yuck)

2 yrs later- DH's song was Jailhouse Rock by Elvis!
I'd much prefer to have a cool song like that. :cool1:

I just checked my siblings' birthdates, and I think they got better ones than I did - You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, Cherish, and Get Back.

Mine was I'll Never Smile Again with Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra, with a fairly new singer named Frank Sinatra doing the vocal.

Actually I had seen something similar on Facebook a few months ago. My Google Search showed that five days after my birth was the first time Billboard had done a report on nationwide sales; previously it was limited to only a few areas.
