Website Grumbles

dvcmember.com today is displaying a message: "We are currently unable to access your Disney Vacation Club Membership information while we perform scheduled system activities." Now, perhaps it is that I work for a technology company, I cannot figure out what would prompt them to "perform scheduled system activities" during the day. Why not 12:30 AM instead of 12:30 PM? Or is this just a standard message they through up there when some part of the system is down?

The funny thing is that it was displaying that for me in Safari and not in Firefox. I was able to check my points either way, however.

Interesting, because I got the same message last evening. When I went back in an hour later, I was able to open the page.

I didn't try to log in yesterday but I was able to log in about 10 minutes ago.

Does anyone else ever get the message that they are signed on to another Disney website and that you must log off that web site before loging on to the member website? It does not say which Disney website, just a Disney website. We have been going crazy trying it figure it out.

I've seen the red message about possible troubles logging onto the site, but I've never had any trouble getting on really quick.

I use to work for a big company and we had it problems ....until a big guy (I mean someone way up in the company) made a phone call to the head of IT and simply said "it looks like you have a bunch of programmers on your payroll making way too much money."

Seems like we are all having problems. Has anyone called member services to find out whats going on? I have been to busy on the hours they are open.

One thing I found was that if I closed by browser completely (I have a habit of keeping browser windows open) then the periodic errors go away. It's like the error is getting cached.

I wish i could take the credit! actually, they are 4 ft. topiaries bought from disneyshopping.com way back, a few years ago. Those are actually small nylon green "leaves" that are somehow glued on. you have to touch them to see they are not real. people drive by my house slowly pointing and people that walk by ask if they're real, lol. i only wish i would have bought goofy and minnie when they had them but i didn't and now you can't get them. i leave them out year round and decorate by the season. it's my way of bringing Disney World to the northeast, lol. thanks!
