I have a few questions about Disney in December,

1. What is the weather like in the second week of Decemeber?

2. This will be my parents first trip to Disney in 22 years. The last time they went was just before Epcot opened. We want to show them all the x-mas decorations. Can anyone tell me what I should not miss.

Weather in Dec is a crap shot. We've had beautiful, sunny,low 80's and we've had rainy,wind,mid 60's.

What not to miss:The decorations at WL. MVMCC. The decorations at WL. The tree at GF. The kids choirs singing at Marketplace. The decorations at WL.

PS: Oh, did I mention the decorations at WL ?

The Candlelight Processional is a don't miss.

We've gone the past 6 years either the first or second week of December and it can be variable, as KMWVIKING said. 1998, 1999 & 2001 were beautiful, upper 70's/low 80's the entire time. 2000 was cold, low 60's almost the entire time. The last 2 years have been a mix. Some days in the 50's, some near 80. The only time we had alot of rain was 2002 when we had 24 hours of solid rain twice.

Yes, you get a bit of everything at that time of year--or at least, be prepared for anything, lol. Rain, cold, etc. Be especially prepared for the cold weather after the sun goes down. It can be pretty dang cold sitting down on the cement waiting for the parade to start, or walking around at 11pm during MVMCP. Hats and gloves weather, even. You can still swim, but the run back to your room after you get out can be brutal! Pack a fleece cover-up!
At Christmastime the resorts go all out and there are some fantastic decorations to be seen--some made all out of gingerbread or chocolate! Definitely consider touring a few resorts.
The perimeter fireworks at MVMCP are not to be missed--it is a really cool feeling to have the fireworks going off all around you--I just stand there and slowly spin around looking at them.
Collecting pictures of the characters in their special Holiday outfits is also fun.
Don't miss the snow on Main Street during MCMVP.
The different "santa claus" representations in all the different countries in Epcot is really wonderful.
Can't think of anything else right now except the Osborne Lights and they're gone for now at least. They were really spectacular.
