Oh, there's no problem at all!
The main restriction is that you can't go in the parks.
I think they also try to make sure that around the wedding locations, no two brides run into each other around ceremony time.
But other than that... you can go to the resorts and elsewhere on Disney property.
On our wedding day, I wanted to get some different pictures than the traditional ones I'd seen - I wanted pictures that really said "Disney" to me. So I wanted to go around to different places and get the Disney scenery in the background as much as possible.
Our wedding was at the wedding pavilion, first wedding in the morning, and my poor husband had to put up with a MARATHON day. We started out with the MK shoot. We then went to the WP, and had a bunch of pictures there before the ceremony. A few more pictures there, then over to the GF for the cake and champagne reception, and more pictures. (We also got really lucky - because of the weather, our reception had to be moved inside, and where we were, Sleeping Beauty ended up coming through and stopped for pictures!)
After that, we used the limo to take us over to the entrance of Epcot, and got pictures there. We took the monorail from there to the TTC, and more pictures. From there, we took the boat over to the entrance to the MK. Our photographer took pictures all over the boat too - there are some really great shots there. Shots in front of the MK, and then the monorail over to the Poly. Yet MORE pictures, and finally, a boat over to the WL. A few more pictures (but not many, because we were running late by then), and then to lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
My sister (my MOH) and her husband were with us for all that too - them getting some good pictures around Disney like that was my MOH present to her. And everywhere we went, we got lots of looks, people pointed, and quite a few people said congratulations. One of the boat captains told us we didn't have to dress up just to get on his boat.

And I heard at least one little girl say, "oooh, she looks like a princess!"

It was fun, although exhausting.
And I absolutely love the pictures we got!
