Has anyone gone on a WDW bus wearing your dress after your ceremony? My sis is getting married very soon at the GF, and then wants to go over to the Boardwalk after our dinner at the Grand - she says she will have no problem taking the WDW bus -
I just wanted to get a feel to see if any other Disney brides have gone on the busses - and what kind of looks you got! ;)

I'm taking the monorail to my wedding! I don't see any issue with riding Disney transportation in my dress - in fact I think it's kind of neat - I am getting my photog to go ahead of me to get some pics of my arrival :)

I think she'll get tons of congratulations!

We got to walk through Epcot in our full wedding gear on the way out of our DP, and we even stopped and shopped in the stores. A lot of people stared, but they did have smiles on their faces. We got some group cheers and a lot of well wishes! Tell her to go for it! :goodvibes

Is she having an escape wedding? If so there are limo hours included in the package so she could just use the limo.

Oh, there's no problem at all!

The main restriction is that you can't go in the parks.

I think they also try to make sure that around the wedding locations, no two brides run into each other around ceremony time.

But other than that... you can go to the resorts and elsewhere on Disney property.

On our wedding day, I wanted to get some different pictures than the traditional ones I'd seen - I wanted pictures that really said "Disney" to me. So I wanted to go around to different places and get the Disney scenery in the background as much as possible.

Our wedding was at the wedding pavilion, first wedding in the morning, and my poor husband had to put up with a MARATHON day. We started out with the MK shoot. We then went to the WP, and had a bunch of pictures there before the ceremony. A few more pictures there, then over to the GF for the cake and champagne reception, and more pictures. (We also got really lucky - because of the weather, our reception had to be moved inside, and where we were, Sleeping Beauty ended up coming through and stopped for pictures!)

After that, we used the limo to take us over to the entrance of Epcot, and got pictures there. We took the monorail from there to the TTC, and more pictures. From there, we took the boat over to the entrance to the MK. Our photographer took pictures all over the boat too - there are some really great shots there. Shots in front of the MK, and then the monorail over to the Poly. Yet MORE pictures, and finally, a boat over to the WL. A few more pictures (but not many, because we were running late by then), and then to lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

My sister (my MOH) and her husband were with us for all that too - them getting some good pictures around Disney like that was my MOH present to her. And everywhere we went, we got lots of looks, people pointed, and quite a few people said congratulations. One of the boat captains told us we didn't have to dress up just to get on his boat. :) And I heard at least one little girl say, "oooh, she looks like a princess!" :goodvibes It was fun, although exhausting.

And I absolutely love the pictures we got!

We went traveling around after the reception. We drove the the Grand Floridian, parked, and then hopped on the monorail (front seat) because I really wanted pictures at the Poly. Unfortunately, that would probably be the last time we would ever ride in the front seat because the tragic accident that took place 3 days later. We took pictures by the waterfalls, Ohana, and even in the art store.

Then we headed back to the Grand and got some pictures on the staircase and around the outside. Other people were taking photos while I was on the staircase....be ready for attention!

Yes, she is having an escape wedding -- but the limo time will run out by then.. you only get it for 4 hours, and we are staying after the wedding at the GF to have a nice relaxing dinner - and take pics.. so this would be for later at night..

The same thing happened to us and we rode the monorail from the GF to MK, then walked over to catch a bus. It was so much fun and the attention was exciting! Everyone seemed to think it was really cool.

Thanks Liz! that's exactly what we will be doing!
