Wearing the robes at GF

phyliss1966,

When we stayed at the GF in December of 02, we were told they no longer had child sized robes and hadn't for some time.

schweig,

Thanks for the info. - that's too bad...she really would have gotten a kick out of that.

When we stayed at the GF last month, we saw women wearing the robes at the pool at night when it was chilly.

I was wishing I had been as smart.

I had my beach cover up, which provided no warmth at all against the chilly night air.

During the much warmer days, I didn't see anyone with the robes at the pool.

I think it's a matter of them being practical, and people not caring how fashionable they may or may not be.

As for the GF being stuffy, that is pure nonsense.

I arrived at the GF after a day at AK. I was hot sweaty, dusty etc....and I didn't feel a bit out of place. I was in too much awe at first....and by the time I had showered and walked about the place. I was in love!

Every single cast member was friendly, the other guests were all as average looking as we were.

There wasn't a thing stuffy about the place.

I say go for the bathrobe at the pool!

then they should be called "Poolrobes" if people want to wear them down to the pool, not that i have anything agaisnt people wearing "poolrobes" down to the pool.

its just another fashion statement::yes::

I am not the proverbial size 10 and usually have some trouble with the "one size fits all" philosophy but the GF robes were fine; guess I found a slightly more commodious one. The atmosphere at GF seemed a bit more adult and hushed although there were kids around. It was EXACTLY my style!!:wave: :wave: :wave: :wave:

Nadine, just wanted to say "hi" from Montgomery Village.

The only time we stayed at the GF was in December and it was cold at night. We definitely wore them to the pool/hot tub for warmth when we got out! Almost everyone else that we saw did too, so we thought nothing of it. We have 3 teens and were able to get robes for all of us.
