**Wearing PJ's in the theme parks**

hmmmm.....that makes even less sense....get up, shower and put pjs on to go to the park. I am all about comfort in the park, but there are clothes that are comfortable and appropriate. Sorry, but it is rude to wear clothes intended to be worn in private in public.

If all that matters is covering your privates, maybe this year I'll wear pasties and a thong! ;)

jb

Actually it makes a perfect sence. This is a trend and has nothing to do rolling out of bed and being lazy. Young people like it and even so I am not one of them I accept different taste and do not understand how different taste can be rude to anyone.

:scared1: pasties may cover you, I don't know, but I know it won't cover me..and a thong, that would not even cover Twiggy... so that was really a poor example ;)

I have 2 teens, so I understand the trend. As I mentioned in my post, I am talking about GROWN WOMEN. We have all seen them out in their PJs at the supermarket, etc. looking like they have just rolled out of bed. I have NO problem with children or your girls wearing cute lounge outfits that are pajamas.

I am Irish and did not know this was a worldwide phenomenon!! I was once on the tram in Dublin and a group of teen girls got on. They were all wearing PJ's which is common enough amoung a certain demographic here. On closer inspection they were fully properly dressed with jeans and tops underneath their PJ's!! Best guess is that they were going for a sleepover but couldnt find an overnight bag so they decided to wear everything all at once.

Trend works for everyone who wants to follow it. I see many people not in PJs who look like they did not meet with mirror and I see many grown women wearing PJs as well as make up, done hair and so on. Trend is a trend, ageless. You do not have to like every trend but understand that people have a right to be different from you and there is nothing wrong with that.

Possibly because it is?

At any rate, I'm going to wear what I want. It isn't anyone's business but my own. I'm going to be comfortable and happy.

If you choose to get in a snit over it, that's your business.

But let's recap the score here: I'm comfortable and happy and you're in a snit.

I don't think I'm the one who needs to be told.

Now this is really getting humorous. Why pearlieq are you getting defensive? You seem quite angry. It seems to me that the launch post mentioned people in "general" wearing pj's at the theme parks. The poster and many others here gave opinions on pjs, yet you are making it very personal with the OP and the last member. People treat other's the way that they present themselves. Pajama's are for the bedroom and lounging in one's home not to be worn in public. I mean what would you think if someone wore a Victoria Secret teddy to the park, would that too be appropriate? At what point does sleepwear become street wear? By the way, lighten up.

so then it is only rude and shows a lack of taste if someone who is say 25 & wears a nice lounge set to the theme parks :confused3 We aren't talking the look of just getting out of bed here, & we are talking about clean, neat and nice looking attire being worn to the theme parks, even if they fall into the lines of PJ's. If you have no problems and understand the trend, then why the comments of no class, poor manners etc.....:confused3 We aren't talking the I forgot to look in the mirror look...

please take note to her over the shoulder bag and laundry cart.. reason for the laundry cart is since her children are now no longer in strollers, she must carry her goodies to the park in something :lmao: oh, and don't forget, she has her fur on......:lmao::lmao::lmao:
I am j/k with this pic here.. but honestly, no one would go to the park looking this way & I do think this is how some are picturing it... well, maybe not as bad as this one...

Clothes worn in private, I feel would be limited to lingerie, a revealing see through nightgown, etc. But pj's that cover up a persons body, and don't have offensive language/images on them, I feel are perfectly suitable. I just don't get it. If I paid a good amount of money (and we all know Disney is somewhat expensive) the last thing I'm worried about is what others are wearing.

You sure are confused! If you read the thread you would see that people were talking about women wearing PJs. Now it is becoming "Lounge Wear." 2 different things. If someone is wearing yoga pants, or a nice "work out" type outfit that's a different story. Grown women going out in public in pajamas is in poor taste. Go back and read the thread if you are still confused.

I agree with pearlieq, what I wear is my business. No, I don't think a Victoria's Secret teddy is appropriate outside of the home/bedroom. I think this thread and some people posting on it are getting somewhat ridiculous. Of course something that revealed someone's privates wouldn't be appropriate for the park or anywhere outside of the home because number one, it's illegal, number two, they wouldn't even let you through the gates with revealing clothing. Again, a nice pj outfit or even pj pants, I feel is appropriate. And who is to say pajama's are for the bedroom, are you the pajama police? lol I mean c'mon, there are many many objects and ideas that serve different purposes. For instance, when I first moved into my own home, on my own, a laundry basket served as my tv stand, does that constitute as "rude" and "lazy" because it was made for laundry? No, I had VERY limited income and could not afford a tv stand at that time. Back in the day, women weren't even allowed to vote, now it's allowed. I think the problem is that some people are afraid of change, and are ignorant to change. But, just my opinion.

OH No! Here come the fashion police and they are stopping that mom from entering a Disney Park.. I wonder which fashion statement she is breaking.... what is society coming to now.... or maybe they just want to search her large bag to see if she does have a change of clothing in there.. the dogs will sniff it out

I just don't see why people aren't worried about their own "taste." I'm sure some would have a lot more time on their hands and more energy if they just were concerned about themselves. What a boring life some must lead to be so concerned about petty, insignificant issues, such as someone wearing pajama pants in public.

Pasties and a thong, probably followed by an orange jumpsuit (just to prove a point), then what would you do?

I may be mistaken, but I thought that someone started this thread to ask opinions on wearing pjs to the parks. I am giving my opinion. I didn't start the thread and have never really given it a lot thought until I read the thread. And now you make personal attacks on the QUALITY OF MY LIFE because my opinion differs from yours??? All I can say is....wow....that's really sad...

What a small minded person you must be...

no they are not two completely different things.. PJ's and lounge wear are basically the same.. this thread also even touched on how it is not appropriate to even wear sweat pants.. I am not confused.. this thread has touched on everything.. what I consider PJ's may not be what you consider... I think you are the one confused...

I think the issues are that one, some people are afraid of change, two, people are ignorant to change and also ignorant to things different than them.

If someone is going to judge me (not that I want to be judged at all), I'd much rather have them judge my character, who I am on the inside, rather than my comfy duck pajama pants. I said it once and I'll say it again - I am who I am because of what is on the inside of me. If you see me wearing pajama pants, and choose not to strike up a conversation with me or befriend me, then I consider it your loss, not mine. I am me - not my clothing, not how big my home is, not the jewelry around my neck, not how much money I have - these are material things that don't make who I am.

Boy....

I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams, someone talking about going out in public in their bed clothes and comparing it to women's suffrage!

Using a laundry basket as a tv stand is almost as practical as a beer keg. Not sure what that has to do with going out in public in your underwear/pajama's. :confused3 For what it's worth as a matter of fact, I am the pajama police.

I didn't make a personal attack, never once did I say, "Joybeth, you have a boring life," I said "people," which relates to people in general. Sit and think about it though, if I, spend my day worrying about what so and so is doing down the street from me, MY life must be pretty boring.

And I am not small minded in the least, so now who is making personal attacks? Maybe if you got off your high horse, and actually read all my posts on here, you would find that I am not small minded at all. I could give a rats butt about what people choose to wear, it is there business, not mine, and again, I don't revolve my life around others and what their wearing. I am very, open minded, thank you!
