Thanks everyone. That gives us some idea of how much we really walk at the parks. Looks like a new pair of running shoes could be worn out by the end of the week.
Our days were mostly on average 8 miles.
Our Epcot day- we walked around twice (during F&W) and then some- that was 12 miles (with a little MK after) and that is with my DH, 10 and 8 years olds.
I need a FitBit. A couple of years ago my DH got me a pedometer so I could track my steps at Disney.
On our first day I was getting out of the ride vehicle on Splash Mountain and my pedometer came unclipped and fell into the water.
My wife used her iPhone which tracks steps. In January we clocked 23,500 steps on one day. Seems a bit high to me as I heard 10000 steps is 5 miles. We don't really stop and tend to go back and forth to see different things.
I've worn mine a couple trips now and we have walked between 7 and 9 miles per day and we are pretty conservative with our walking - we don't tend to backtrack much.
last summer we opened and closed parks for 14 days and did more of a Commando trip with lots of criss crossing the parks. We averaged 10-13 miles per day!
