Last Fri we went to get my son's belongings from his car. it was so hard to walk up to it as the trooper took off the tarp. The whole top of the car was gone. Or smashed, rumpled, twisted so it was down in the middle of the car.
There wasn't much in the front of the car. Thank God. The front passenger seat was covered in his blood, I'm assuming his head was resting in his girlfriend's lap.
i did know it was going to be bad. We had gotten the death cert. a few days before, and his cause of death was multiple skull fractures

When we finally got home around 4:30 PM we were exhausred. I think we went to bed about 7. his belongings are still in the bags we took with us, and setting in the garage. I don't know when we'll get to them, I'm not sure when we'll be ready.
I thought seeing the car, touching his things, that it would feel more real.
I still can't believe he's gone. 36 days now; and I miss him so much!
