We want a Disney Vacation NOW! Trip Report Started!

I am going to do an update today on the PTR.

We are currently in the process of moving over the next 2 weeks and I will be w/o internet from 4/30 - 5/12, which is going to make me crazy!, because of the move and when ATT can install it at the new house.

We took possesion of the new house on 4/17 and have been cleaning it out all weekend, then DH had a birthday on Monday 4/20, we went to Carino's Italian grill to celebrate, The painter we hired started painting the new house on monday 4/20 also. So things are crazy between packing, cleaning, renting out the current home we are living in to move into the new house we bought, band concerts, and spring musicals! Things have been nuts. At this point, Disney seems like a lifetime away! I am hoping that makes everything go quickly.

We will really need a vacation after this!

PTR - Day 10 - Magic Kingdom and Favorites

This will be our last day at The World, luckily it is a full day since we are leaving for home the next day.

This is always a sad day for me. It is the day I realize that we have to leave. The day I always cry, like a little kid, because I have to leave my favorite place in the world. :sad1:

DH is so kind, he always hugs me, tells me we are going back, DD also comforts me and then cries with me. DS looks at me and DD weird :rolleyes1

Anyhoo, we plan to have breakfast at Kona Cafe on this day. We are looking forward to this. We really love the Poly and would love to stay here one day. We are hoping we can stay at the Poly for our upcoming January 2010, 14th Wedding Anniversary trip. We never had a honeymoon and we would like to fix this situation but that is Another PTR! :woohoo:

The plan is after breakfast to ride the Monorail over to MK and say goodbye to our favorite park. We may even say goodbye to a few places. We are know to wonder the World on our last day.

Say Goodbye, to Cinderella's Castle, goodbye, fantasyland, goodbye tomorrowland, goodbye all lands. This is depressing :headache:

That night, we have a dinner scheduled for Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. We like this dinner, it is good and relaxing and no characters. We enjoy characters but after a while you just want to veg and relax, while eating.

Day 11 & 12 will be spent driving home to Indiana, we are going to take our time. We do not have to be back to work until Monday June 15, so this will be good, and we should arrive by Day 12 back home, which is June 12.

Plenty of time :thumbsup2

Good Morning! I finally made my budget for spending money and tips, and more for Disney World.

OP or not included in Dining Plan:
BBB at MK $80.00
Garden View Tea Room $50.00
Breakfast 1900 Parke Fare $100.00
Kona Cafe Breakfast $70.00

All of the below are for Disney Dining Plan Tips:
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner - $20.00
Ohana's Dinner - $20.00

Hollywood & Vine Lunch - $20.00
50's Prime Time Dinner - $20.00
Donald's Safari Breakfast, Tusker House - $20.00
Cape May Cafe Dinner - $20.00

DD - wants a Belle Dress & the Toy Castle
DS - wants Pins & a Star Wars Lego
DH - wants ESPN shirts and WDW Shirts
I want Christmas Decorations & a WDW Hoodie
spending money $1300.00 for WDW shopping, probably will not spend that much but just in case. We will probably come home with 1/2.

we are staying at 3 hotels before we reach WDW property because we are driving - DH travels for work and we have earned reward points, so we only have to pay for one stay with his corporate discount at $120.00

We estimate we will fill up on Gas, 7 times at around $50.00 per tank and we threw in one extra tank just in case, for a total of $400.00

We bought at 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Touring Edition last April, it has duel DVD's & Head Phones for the kids, and I plan to pack Plenty of Disney DVD's, Coloring Books, Markers, Snacks, DS & Games. The Kids Pillows and Blankets because it will be a long drive. We are driving from Indiana.

New House Update:

We rented out our current home, lease we signed yesterday. That is a true relief.

New House: The painting and carpeting is coming along, we have to move the fence for our dog because the people that owned the home before put the fence over a drainage ditch (not smart at all). Kitchen sink faucet had to be replaced, new appliances because once again the man who lived there before tinker with almost everything! :headache:

Heating and Cooling unit is having issues, so we have someone looking at that this week and we need a new sump pump.

We move in this weekend, yay. Overall, it is coming along but keeping us very busy.

Which is nice because Time is Flying! 1 month 3 days until our trip to see the Mouse!

DO you guys drive straight through or do you stop? How many hours is the drive and is it a 'good' drive? (not too boring)

Just asking because our friends might be driving from Indiana to Disney for our March trip.:goodvibes

EDIT:::: It think you are stopping (hence the use of your hubby's points LOL)

Beautiful house! Love the colorful rooms!

Thank you, I was really nervous about the color at first but after it was finished it looks great. All the bathrooms are yellow and the whole house is the brown color.

Yay for getting the Disney mail!! :cool1:

And love the colors in your new house! :thumbsup2 I see in the last picture you have storage bins like me - from Target?? I don't have the same shelving unit, but I have those bins in blue, red, and beige. I love them!

This week at DD's school has been Teacher Appreciation Week.

The PTO sent home a letter asking each student to do different things for the teacher each day of the week.

Monday - My Teacher is a Star Day - Bring something to show your teacher how special they are. DD made her a card, I was not allowed to see it :confused3

Tuesday - My Teacher is so Organized Day - We sent index cards.

Wednesday - My Teacher is so Sweet Day - We sent Chocolate covered pretzels

Thurday - My Teacher likes to eat Healthy day - Uh....we sent a brownie cupcake, it was DD's choice ;)

Friday - My Teacher is the best! - We are sending a potted plant and a personalized Thank You card to let DD's teacher know that we have appreciated her kindness and teaching skills this year.

Here is a photo of the plant:
