We want a Disney Vacation NOW! Trip Report Started!

Yup! I sure did! I changed it!

That is ok, I wanted everyone to enjoy dinner that night. We have a big day ahead of us the next day after this dinner. We are heading home with a very long drive. So I changed it, I wanted everyone to be satisfied after dinner so we can get a good nights sleep for our driving day.

So now it is Cape May Cafe for Dinner, Yay! I know we will enjoy this one. We have been here before! Yummy!

DD says she does not want to stay in a pirate room because it is too boy like.

We are staying in the Pirate rooms too! Unlike Your DD, Both my DDs are excited to stay there. But they are POTC lovers to begin with. Also, even tho we live in New Jersey we are huge Tampa Bay Buccaneer's Fans and the pirate theme just fits.

Love your planning. I too get obsessed with planning everything everyday we are there. I did it for our last trip and DH thought it was crazy as I was doing it. But, at the end of day one he said it was an awesome thing to do. We got to do everything we wanted plus some that we didnt.

Cant wait to hear more of your plans!

PTR - Day 4 – Official Rest Day/ Laundry Day and Epcot Evening Extra Magic Hours.

Plan for Day #4 Rest Day/ Epcot:

So this day we have a TS credit on DDP for breakfast with Mary Poppins! Supercalafragilistic Breakfast!, we are looking forward to this.

Since, we have a standard view pirate room at CBR, we are going to use the quiet pool laundry facilities and that pool for the morning/afternoon.

Does anyone know if the laundry facilities are like a laundry mat ? With more than one dryer and washer?

We will have to do laundry and slow down a bit on this day, it will be necessary for survival during this awesome vacation. Feet start to hurt and everyone gets tired. I will probably be the one to do laundry while DH and kids enjoy pool or whatever around CBR.

We plan to have lunch at CBR.

We have scheduled the Behind The Seeds Tour at Epcot for this late afternoon. It is basically a tour of The Living with The Land boat ride. The greenhouses and such. We have already paid for it. It was $60.00 for all four of us to attend. DS is a bit of a science boy, so he will really enjoy this and so will I, I am completely facinated with how they grow all the vegetables and such here. I just think it is awesome. I am not a very good gardener at all. In fact, my Green Thumb is not in exsistance. So sad :sad2: because DS always wants to grow a garden and I am not capable of this action.

We are going to attend Epcot's Evening EMH on this night, In 2008 we discovered all the rides and such you can do while everyone is watching Illuminations and durning the Evening EMH, we had so much fun. DD and I rode Nemo like 8 times amoung other things. It was great.!

I want to explore World Showcase, I am sure it will take me a few tries to get it all in but I have a plan what I want to see, what I want to do, and what I want to eat. After all, we are going to be at the world for a total of 10 days, so I am hoping I can get it all in!

Here is some of it:

Explore Canada – O Canada! , UK - Fish Shop, France – Impressions de France – Boulangerie Patisserie, Morocco, Japan, The American Adventure, Italy, Germany – Sommerfest, China – Lotus Blossom Café – Eggroll – Reflections of China, Norway – Maelstrom, Mexico – Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros – Cantina de San Angel

We plan to grab a CS somewhere around World Showcase. I am sure everyone will have something different.

That is the end of PTR - for Day 4.....PTR plans for Day 5 coming soon.

Really do like your daily plans! Now that my ADRs are set, I can start to think more clearly about these items... and making lists for what I want to do while there in each park! These are a big help! :thumbsup2 Neat tour -- might consider that for the next trip... is there an age requirement? I keep thinking it is 10... :confused3

This is what I got of disneyworld.com.

There is not age limit.

The Behind the Seeds at Epcot tour offers a one-hour indoor walking tour of the greenhouses seen during the Living with the Land attraction at Epcot Theme Park.

For all ages.

Discover the secrets of how The Land Pavilion grows delicious produce indoors on this special backstage tour. See the future of agriculture, go alligator gazing, release lady bugs and learn the advanced—and often experimental—techniques used to grow hydroponic crops with little or no soil. Watch how new methods are being developed to cultivate plants around the world and help make the Earth a healthier place to live.

If you want a preview of the tour, ride the Living with the Land attraction. If you like what you see as your boat cruises through the greenhouse, you will love the Behind the Seeds at Epcot tour.

Epcot Theme Park admission is require and is not included in the price of the tour. The tour is indoors and only an hour long, but you will be on your feet for the entire time.

PTR - Day 5 - EPCOT!

Park Hours for Epcot:

World Showcase: 11am-9pm
Future World: 9am – 7pm
IllumiNations: 9pm

PTR plan for Day 5:

We plan to have Breakfast at CBR and then head over to Epcot and arrive at 9am.

The Plan is to head to Soarin as a family, Get FP and get in line, I have an slight motion sickness problem so I am taking Dramamine for this adventure.

We then plan to take a ride on Living with the Land

I would really like to visit the Epcot Character Spot for some cool photos.

Hopefully, we are able to get another FP at this time. TT is one of DD's favorite rides. DH is good at going to get FP's for us :thumbsup2

Next on the list of rides is Space Ship Earth, Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Figment.

We have a Lunch ADR for Le Cellier

We would like to check out Ellen's Energy Adventure.

Maybe some more of World Showcase

We plan to have dinner at the World Showcase this night and then catch IllumiNations at 9pm

Then, it is back to CBR for a good nights sleep.

We are staying in the Pirate rooms too! Unlike Your DD, Both my DDs are excited to stay there. But they are POTC lovers to begin with. Also, even tho we live in New Jersey we are huge Tampa Bay Buccaneer's Fans and the pirate theme just fits.

I find if we have some sort of plan, we are better off. If we do not have a plan, we stand around wondering what to do next. It works for us. Thanks for joining me.

PTR - Day 6 – Typhoon Lagoon

Park Hours for Typhoon Lagoon: 10am – 6pm

We are going to take it slow this day, get up around 9am and head over to Typhoon Lagoon. Have fun swimming and enjoying all Typhoon Lagoon has to offer. We may eat Breakfast & Lunch at Typhoon Lagoon or eat at CBR for breakfast. We are driving so we will have our own vehicle which we plan to use to drive to Typhoon Lagoon.

I am sure someone will need a nap or something on this day so we will not last long at Typhoon Lagoon approximately 2pm.

We have dinning plans for Hoop de Doo this day at 5pm and then back to CBR for an early night or rest and sleep.

Nice new posts for days 5 & 6! I like 6 especially! Good to have a day like that! We are not going to the WPs this trip... boys are not strong swimmers, but def plan for down time.... Epcot rides good choices, Are you going to try Kim Impossible while in the WSC?

If the kids would like to try Kim in WSC that would be great and I would definately take the time out for them to do this. So we will have to see about that. I do not think the water parks are necessary on each trip when you have a perfectly good resort pool, but DH and the kids really enjoy them. So we are going. DD is not a strong swimmer either, but there is a kid area with shallow water she loves at Typhoon Lagoon and it has a kiddie water slide she loves but I think she is going to be too big this year. She recently took swim lessons at our local high school, so hopefully she can swim this time.

PTR - Day 7 - Disney’s Hollywood Studios

DHS Park Hours: 9am – 8pm, Block Party Bash: 3pm, No Fantasmic!

Here is the Plan for Day #7 Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

The first thing we want to do is find out times for HSM3, Beauty & The Beast, Mulch, Sweat & Shears Band, & Block Party Bash - according to the official Disney website times, Block Party Bash begins at 3pm.

This is also a Star Wars Weekend at DHS, so we will have to see what events are going on.

Then we are heading to TSM for a ride and a FP. This is great for our kids and us, we enjoy it.

I really enjoy the Voyage of The Little Mermaid, One Man’s Dream, & Magic of Disney Animation. So we will try to fit all of these in before lunch. If it does not happen, no big deal, we will be back to this park.

Have to have our classic Great Movie Ride, I just hope we do not get stuck around Tarzan again. Boy that was torture last year! :scared1:

Lunch is at Hollywood & Vine, we are not going to see the characters here but just to get inside out of the heat. I thought it would be good to have a variety of foods, air conditioning, and a rest. We feel that DHS is the hottest park for us because of the black top and not very much shade, of course Animal Kingdom comes in a close 2nd hottest park.

After a rest and lunch we plan to get in Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Muppet Vision 3-D, Extreme Stunt Show, & Studio Backlot Tour

We have never seen the Extreme Stunt Show or the Studio Backlot Tour and would like to experience it at least once.

This is how we rate parks in ou favorite order:

#1 MK
#2 Epcot
#3 Hollywood Studios
#4 Ak

I still have Days 8, 9, 10 to complete and Day 11 & 12!

It is getting closer, we are also Moving into a larger house because my Mom is moving in with us. So we are pretty busy right now, but it is an exciting time for us.

Tina :flower3:

Your DS day sounds great. Might I make one suggestion - get in line for TSM first then look at the times for the other shows you mentioned. Last year we were there at rope drop and thought we would be *smart* and sent DH to get FP for TOT and would all meet up at TSM. It only took him 10 minutes but during that time the line for TSM had built up to 45 minutes! Just taking a few minutes to look at the show times may cost you several more minutes standing in line.

Congrats on your new home and good luck with the move. Moving just before a disney vacation is quite stressful but it makes the vacation much more appreciated in the midst of the chaos. We did exactly that a few years ago. We moved, got married, and went to Disney all in 2 weeks!! :scared:

Thanks for the advice! :thumbsup2 Moving is stressful but the wait is even more stressful. I just want to get it over with :headache:

PTR - Day 8 - Rest Day/Hollywood Studios?

Park Hours: Hollywood Studios: 9am – 9pm
Block Party Bash: 3pm
Fantasmic: 9pm

Plan for Day 8:

The plan for Day is sleeping in! By this time we will definately need it!

I will be doing a little :laundy: Laundry again this day and of course, DH & the kids will be resting and swimming by the pool. :cool2: We will have Breakfast & Lunch at CBR.

Then, later that night we are heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios!!!!

We have an evening ADR for 50’s Prime Time Café! :woohoo:

On this night, according to the Official Disney Schedule, there is to be a showing of Fantasmic! at 9pm. We are thinking about watching this show again because it is so awesome but we have heard so many horror stories about getting in to watch it because of the reduction of shows, we are a little frightened of the outcome.

So we may take advantage and get some cool rides in instead! Hopefully, everyone will be at Fantasmic!

So we are up in the air about this day a bit! We will play it by ear and see how it goes!

Hopefully, I can update the rest soon. We are getting way to excited and it is just not arriving fast enough. :sad2:

Wow you seem to be much more organized than I am!!!!! I actually planed our days around our TS meals. LOL

It's hard to plan when you get the park schedules so late. It looks like you guys will have a great time!:goodvibes

Thank You Thank You! ;) I pride myself on being organized. :thumbsup2

We planned what parks we wanted to visit on what days and then we add TS meals. With how late the park schedules came out we decided, we would just move whole days around if the schedule was off. Thankfully, we did not have to do that.

We can't wait! So So Excited! :rotfl:

PTR - Day 9 - Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom Park Hours are 9am - 7pm with a showing of Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade at approximately 3:45pm. Epcot also has evening EMH, that we can't seem to resist! It is just so much FUN!!

This morning we have an ADR for Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, we really enjoy this breakfast buffet, so we are looking forward to it. DH loves breakfast food, as does DD.

We have not done well on AK days in the past! We have been twice to WDW, once in 2006 and then in 2008. In 2006, we believe DS had a problem with the heat or that he got sick from eating at Sci Fi - so DD & I spent a little time at AK but not much and then we spent the rest of the day at POR. In 2008, DD was exhausted, so the 2 of us went back to POP, had a nap and too a nice dip in the hoop de doo pool, which was great, but we can say AK, uh! only done Kilimanjaro Safari and Dinosaur :confused3

So, I have a Plan for Animal Kingdom:

1st we are going to grab FP for Kali River Rapids, I want to do this at the end of the day because, I am a weiner and I do not like to walk around wet, even if the weather is so hot, I will dry off in 2 minutes!

On the way in, I plan to grab a sheet that tells all showtimes around the parks, I have never seen Finding Nemo: The musical or Festival of the Lion King and I am determined to see both on this day.

2nd - DD loves to ride trains, so we are going to take a trip on the wildlife train to Rafiki's Planet Watch, my kiddos love this kind of thing, so I believe they will have a great time.

I really want to see It's Tough To Be A Bug and I love Flame Tree Barbecue, so it is on the list for this day also!

I know we can get all these things in, in one day, at least I hope so. If not, there is always next time.
:headache:

In planning our last trip, I was on the phone with Disney dining every week! Once I had my initial ressies and park days they(disney) started changing park hours and shows! I had to make changes. It all worked out for the best. The only thing I was disappointed about was not being able to see Spectromagic, but I saw it once before so I lived. LOL

Changing park hours & shows :scared1: I would have been going crazy! We have only seen spectromagic one time in 2006. We are going to try to see it again in June.

Wait Wait for more! Planning looking good

Planning, Planning - and more Planning! :woohoo:
