but with this new Marriott $20.03 per night price, it sounds so tempting.....I wish I could see pictures of it, but haven't been able to find any.....CBR to Marriott....from one extreme to another....what to do....what to do.....

We have stayed at the Courtyard. It is very nice and would recommend it. But if you are looking for atmosphere then CBR should be your choice.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Courtyard because of the price. I stayed there as a Marriott preferred member. I had a room on the top floor with a great view of Disney and the fireworks.

If it meant the difference between taking a trip or not I would stay at the Courtyard. But if I want to feel like I have truly escaped that CBR is the way to go. You just can't beat the Disney magic of this resort.

I don't think you can really compare the two hotels.

thanks to both of you for your replys.....we have always wanted to stay at cbr.....i know which area i want to stay in & couldn't wait to book for august, just waiting to see what AP rates come out.....then when this $20.03 rate came out, I started thinking about the price difference & the cheapskate in me came out....I panic sometimes thinking about how much money we spend on our wdw vacations.....you are right, there is no comparison to these hotels.....

From one Sue to another.....DON'T DO IT!!!

For our DS's first trip, we were all booked (and paid for) at the Wilderness Lodge courtayrd view with an AP code. This was pre-9/11, so even with the code it was a lot of money. Well....9/11 happened , our car was hit, DH got a pay cut, you name it-all within 8 weeks of our trip! I saw the rate of $25 at Courtyard and booked it (I panicked). We still had a great time and the Downtown Disney hotels are very nice. I had stayed there before and always liked it and still do. But it was not the WL! We will finally be going to the WL this Novemer and I can't wait. I have also stayed at CBR. It's a very beautiful and relaxing resort. I think you will be very happy with your choice!

Once on-site, forever on-site.

I cannot ever recommend off-site again, unless it means the difference between going and not going.

For me, I would rather not go at all than stay off-site again. For me, being enveloped in the magic for an entire vacation is worth the $$$.

For others who are not so fanatical it's probably fine. I must admit after checking their website that $20. per night is a fantastic deal.

Do your last two nights at CBR to end your vacation on a nice WDW note. You still save money and get to have the on-site experience you desire.
