We survived another Easter week continued

We moved of site on Easter to Summer Bay Resorts using a traded RCI week. We had already paid to upgrade to a larger un it.We arrived at 4pm and the room was not ready.DH had called from MGM to confirm before we left park and we were told it was all set so apparently someone else got our room.Because we were toild it was ready we had picked up some groceries to hold us until Publix was open Monday,which were now in the hot car.Not good. We waited in lobby.Kids did a (paid) craft with sand art and checked out the beach and pool area. We were hounded by pushy time share sales people while we waited.Finally our room was ready. We found towel ducks in both bathrooms and a dishtowel swan in kitchen. We unpacked and went to pool and it immediately rained but only for about 10 mins.Wierd weather.By the time we got back to room it was sunny. We unpacked and got dressed for dinner.We went to Epoct and were surprised to find we could still use our Dolphin card for parking and EMH until midnight of checkout day.(Good to know). We went on Test track then walked over to see Off Kilter before we went to Marakesh for dinner. We had a terrible meal but did get a nice dessert in France. We went back to hotel and went to bed. By this time DS and I were sick. We had fever,cough and cold symptoms. We went to Dennys for breakfast then Publix for groceries.We unpacked bags and went to pool. The kids went on water trampolines etc. Later we went to DTD and rented water sprites and went shopping. We had dinner at fish and chips CS at raglan Road which was very good.Ds got kids meal and it was same size as adult portion. I asked server if this was ok and she said the price is really only difference.Good to know for next time. We took some pics of cool new Lego designs and the new pirates stuff.Ds filled a "skull" and DD filled a potatoe head box. We visited 10.00 and under store and got a few good deals in the 4/10.00 area including Tink hat,mug,scrapbooking supplies and pens. We went to bed early. We went to AK after breakfast in room. We got a FP and rode EE. We went on rest of rides with little to no wait. DS started coughing and my fever came back so we decidd to head back for a break. Later DS and DH went to water park and DD and I went to MGM. We all met up later at MGM for Fantasmick. The next day we went to DTD andf DQ. I should have just sent the boys. DD and I were bored.More than half the machines were broken. The CD maker was broken. We did the drawing but you have to pay for your printout unlike MGM where it is free. We snacked in Cheesecake factory and used the worlds slowest internet. I swear it must be on dial up or something.Unbelievably awful internet cafe. We went to Universal to use meal and movie deal coupons but they were not honored any longer. We decided to go back to AMC at DTD and see benchwarmers and had a bite at Planet hollywood. Large portions, especially Caprese salad. We could have just ordered two meals. The wait outside was 2 hours but Doris (hostess) mentioned if you can snag a table in bar on any level you can eat there. We walked right up to 2nd floor(1st was mobbed) and got a table immediately. We ordered and were done with 15 mind to spare before movie.
The next day we went back to MGM had late lunch at Sci Fi and took boat to Epcot. Later we went to MK for Wishes.Kids got on Dumbo just as fireworks started and said it was a cool way to see them. You feel surrounded by fireworks and are in back of castle. We could not see Tinks flight though. We went to bed after dip in hot tub. Friday we went to MK after breakfast and got FP for Space,rode Thunder and Splash then took train over to Toon and went to tomorrow land.We took monrail to Epcot and went for a nap on spaceship earth. We snacked around countries. We tried to get on Soarin but line too long. Went in Innovations and made robots. Went back to hotel. We decided not to go back at night and canceled whispering Canyon ressies.Too pooped.Started packing for home. Got a chicken and fixins at Walmart and ate supper in room.Surprised kids by getting everthing to make banana splits for dessert. We packed a picnic Sat to use up food in fridge then forgot to eat it. We went to all parks except AK and did fave rides.We had dinner at Boma and sat by fire. We reminisced about times we have stayed here and wished we could again.We went to Fantasia Mioni golf and tried the harder "real golf" side. It took several hours and we were there well after it should have closed. We ended up skipping several holes just to get kids back to bed.Too many large parties allowed to play together.The rules were no parties larger than 4 but there were teens in much larger groups taking forever on each hole and making out in front of kids.Ugh. We slept late (8am) Sunday.Cleaned room.Packed car and checked out by the mandatory 10am deadline. We could have stayed and used pool but had no shower so decided to look for a go cart place for DS. We could not find one in an area where I would be willing to leave all of our belongings in minivan. We had breakfast at Cracker barrel. We went to outlets and got few more items to packa t Character shop. DH got golf shirts 12.99. We went to Quiznos and got some subs for airport. We returned rental car and checked luggage and made our way to the gate after a little incident w/TSA. DS had bought a Pirates skull and toy gun which were in his carry on. We told the TSA agent before he even placed items on belt. We had to be searched etc.It was silly. We were told next time to place item in checked baggage. When we got togate we found out our flight was delayed.Darn.We could have done Seaworld if we had known. We waited and waited and waited. Finally we left for home. It was a wicked bumpy ride due to thubderstorms. We left 92 degrees and arrived to 36 and raining.Oh joy. DH had trouble finding car keys.We finally made it to car.We got a few groceries and Dunkin Donuts sandwiches for meal and went to bed. Next time we need a day between trip and work. DS and I went back Monday but ended up home sick much of week. Just now starting to recover. I already want to start planning next trip but DH wants to wait a couple years to go back. Sob...Sob... I miss Mickey already.

Thanks Minniespal.I didnt realize how many typing errors I made w/o spellcheck to save me!
Congratulations on your weight loss! I have at least that much to lose and it is depressing. I just quit WW again. It took me 3 months to lose 5 lbs. I lost 5 lbs in Disney. I think it was all the walking.I used a pedometer. We clocked 74.25 miles in 9 days and that doesnt count the airport!

Wow almost 75 miles, I'm going to wear mine next year.

I wanted to rent from an owner at Summer Bay Resorts. The person checked and he said nothing is available. Boo. How long did it take you to get to the parks?

Summer Bay is right next door to the Liki Tiki where we stayed last year.It takes about 20 mins depending on traffic. We did find a back road which was quicker but I am not sure of the street names.I think it was Black Lake Road we took.
