We Survived! 9 days of land & sea - with a 3 year old! -9/1- NEW PIC I HAD TO SHARE!

Amanada, I missed a few updates....please forgive me (we were out of town over the weekend for "our baby's" college graduation. :scared1:

In any event, AWESOME updates. I agree with you...as long as the food and service are good, to me the restaurant is worth a TS credit and the Plaza is a must do for us every trip (I've had some of our best meals there while we've had really bad ones at Whispering Canyon or Hollywood & Vine where I wouldn't waste a TS).

I'm with your hubby....TOT is probably my all-around favorite ride at DW. My DH likes Rock & Roll like you do.

Not a problem! Glad to have you back. :flower3: I can't imagine how bittersweet it is to watch your "baby" graduate from college. Reid is only 3 & I'm already dreading the teenage years. I'm sure before I can even blink, it'll be his college graduation.

I'm so glad that you've enjoyed my updates! I think The Plaza could very easily become one of those must-do restaurants for us on every trip. I had almost booked a dinner ADR @ WCC for our 1st night of this trip, but Ed & I decided we didn't want a dinner with antics on our first night so we cancelled. I'm really glad we did.

There are things that Ed likes about WDW, but nothing he gets overly exicted about.....except ToT. And what can I say about RNR? Fun coaster while getting to listen to one of the best rock bands ever....what's not to love, right?

I just found this thread and Im hooked, Im a Disney Fanatic and we will be taking my daughter on her first WDW trip in October, It will me a month before her 3rd Birthday so this is giving me ideas on my days. I cant wait to see how the rest of your trip went!

Welcome Aboard! I'm so glad you're enjoying my report. It really is different doing WDW with a little one. Lots of fun, but definitely different in things you do. When we're at WDW, it's the only time I consider us lucky to have a child who doesn't like to sleep/rest. :rotfl: You'll see that at WDW, we never went back to the hotel to nap. This was fine for Reid, especially since he'll just sleep wherever he is when he wants to. But, I know some kids can't do this. I looked at his first trip in December as a learning trip. And I just have to keep going back to get better & better at doing WDW with kids. Right? :lmao:

I'm really enjoying the trip reports and pictures. Thanks for taking the time to do it. It is so true, my husband and I are wondering where the years have gone. Our oldest grandchild is 22 and just finishing up college. Wow but we sure have enjoyed many many trips to Disney with our children and now our grandchildren. But, we have a blast there when we are alone too.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much! Ed & I were talking the other night about our next trip to WDW. We're thinking it'll have to be in the late part of 2013. I was talking about when we would go & Ed looked at me & said, "You do realize we'll have to go during a school break." I looked at him like "What?!?" And then I realized that Reid will be kindergarten. It made me want to cry. :sad1:

I'm baaaaaccckkk! Okay, let's see if I can wrap up this day for y'all. It's only taking me 3 installments to do it!

We left off that we were having (another) strategical meeting after we had finished watching the Disney Junior Live show. And Ed & I were trying to decided on whether or not we should do what we really wanted to do. Well, Ed thought we should just go for it. And so did I, kind of. Then we spoke with Reid & he said he was up for it, too. So, what was this whole meeting for?

We decided it would be better just to brave the line rather than coming back in the morning just to do this one ride. We got over there & parked the stroller. I looked up & saw the wait time posted as 70 minutes. I took a moment to talk again to Reid to help him understand that it was going to be a long wait. He seemed okay, so we headed in! This is, by far, one of the best-themed queues in all of WDW. Well, we're not going to stand in this long line by ourselves, so y'all come on in & take a look with us!

We were quite enjoying the sights while waiting in the stand-by queue and felt like it was moving rather quick. We finally got to the part where you get your 3D glasses. Okay, for anyone reading who hasn't done this ride: you get your glasses, then we had to go into another section that was being manned by a CM. From there, it was up a big thing of stairs & then down the stairs to where the ride loads. Well, there is also a set of stairs for the FP people. So, we got our glasses & then got to the CM before the stairs section. She asked us how many rows we would use since there were 3 of us. I explained to her that we had never been on the ride before so I wasn't sure. She said it would probably be best just to put Reid on one of our laps so he could play better. I told her that sounded good, that's what we would do. She then ushered us in & told us she wanted us to go up the stairs to the right. I started to go but then realized it was for FP people & there was hardly anyone at all on these stairs. I figured I must've heard wrong & told Ed to ask her again which stairs we should go up. Sure enough, she wanted us to go up the FP stairs! pixiedust: By the time we walked up those stairs & down them, there was no one else left on the FP stairs! And as soon as got down, we were ushered into a row for a car! In total, it took us 15 minutes to get onto the ride! Woo Hoo! I was so excited for our sprinkling of pixie dust.

Now, since this was our first time riding TSM, I didn't know fully what to expect. Of course, I had read about it, so I knew what type of ride it is. But, it really blew me away. This ride is loads of fun! I could just sit on here all day playing. I love how it moves around & changes on you, even though the point of the game stays the same.

All 3 of us loved this ride! We got off & headed towards Reid's stroller. By the time we got there, Reid was already begging us to ride again. I looked up & saw that the stand-by line was now at 80 minutes. I told him I was sorry, but no, we were not going to ride again. We got to his stroller and I started backing it out. Reid then began saying that he wanted to go on the other Toy Story ride. At first, I thought he meant Buzz Lightyear in MK. But, he told me no, the other Toy Story ride. I finally realized that he saw the Toy Story character meet-n-greet place across from TSM & thought it was a ride. I began explaining to him that that wasn't a ride. Well, the whole time this was going on, one of the CM's working the stroller parking was standing just a couple of strollers away from us. She then came over to talk to us. I got to talking to her about the characters across the way & the wait time for them. After that, we began discussing touring strategies for MK with little ones because she used to work in Fantasyland. We sat there talking with her for a quite a while. During this time, she took a liking to Reid & vice versa. She had been stooped down to his level talking with him for a little while, when she looked up at me & quietly asked if we would like to ride TSM again! Well, my face lit up like a Christmas tree. I nodded my head & quietly said yes. She ended up taking us through the FP line up until the point of the stairs. The whole way there, Reid insisted on holding her hand. He did get upset that she wasn't going to ride with him, though. :rotfl: So, she sent us on our way up the stairs & before we knew it, we were back on TSM! Pixie Dust! pixiedust:

Now, she had told Reid that when we got off, she wanted him to find her so that he could tell her how he did. We got off the ride & headed back to stroller parking, but she wasn't there. We waited a couple of minutes but we didn't see her. I finally grabbed one of the other CM's working the stroller parking & asked if they knew where she was. They thought she was in the building & offered to go find her for us. She came out of the building & saw Reid & starting running to him with a big smile on her face. Well, he saw her too & ran to her too & he gave her the biggest hug! It was so sweet. We thanked her a zillion times & I took a picture of her & Reid for his scrapbook. She asked if we would be coming back to DHS the next day, but told her no. And then, we were on our way. I was truly amazed that that had happened to us. I've read about that happening to people here on the DIS but never in a million years did I think we would get such pixie dust. She was such a sweet girl & we were truly enjoying just talking to her before she took us back through the FP line. I told her we were so grateful, especially since I was thinking we weren't even going to get to ride it once, let alone twice.

We were on such a magical high that we popped into the little Toy Story gift shop across the way to buy Reid some more toys. Because he's deprived, can't you tell? I think this is all part of Disney's evil plot: give you magical moments that make you not care about over-spending on toys! So, we popped on over to the shop & Reid picked out Slinky Dog & Emperor Zurg (I don't know how you spell that). While Ed paid for the toys, we waited across the way for him.

Reid was so excited about getting Zurg!

With a bounce in our step thanks to one very sweet CM, we set out on our way and headed to the Streets of America.

It was over here that we saw this guy cruisin' the streets:

Reid was very excited to see Mater! It was getting close to dinner by now, so we headed back to Sunset Boulevard and grabbed some burgers at Rosie's All-American Cafe. Typical counter-service food, but good. Bellies satisfied, it was time for me to do what I'd been waiting on all afternoon:

I found a place for the guys to sit & wait for me and grabbed my FP from Ed. I was just about to run away when.....Reid broke down crying. He wanted to come with me. I was trying to comfort him & explain that he wasn't big enough. But, of course, he didn't want to hear any of that. To make matters worse, he could see ToT from where we were & started crying even more because he also wanted to ride that. Finally, Ed looked at me & told me I just needed to leave. As hard as it was (and yes, it was hard), I headed off to my favorite Disney coaster. I was the last person that they let into the room where you see Aerosmith in the studio before heading to the loading area. I noticed that there was another woman in the back of pack like me that seemed to be alone. Her & I began talking & we were both using FP's while our kids were being watched. We decided to ride together & to wait for the front row. We hardly had any wait at all for the front! This ride is so much fun and she & I really had a blast.

I made it off the ride & was grinning ear to ear. I was ready to go switch places with Ed & let him use his FP. And then, I figured we would give away our 3rd FP. When I got to him, however, he had already given away the other 2 FP's.

Now, the only other thing I was really wanting to do at DHS was Fantasmic. This is my favorite of the park evening shows. I love anything with the villains. There were 2 shows scheduled for that night (9 & 10:30). Around 6:30, people were beginning to line up for the 9 show! I just wasn't about to do that. I decided we would just skip Fantasmic this trip, especially since I was pretty sure Reid was NOT going to enjoy it. Before heading to the bus, I took Reid for a potty break. Well, whenever we got out, Ed had set up an appointment for us the next morning with the DVC people. I was like, what are you doing? I would love to buy in to DVC, but we already own a timeshare with Hilton! :sad2: But, oh well, it was done & we headed on our way out of the park.

We left DHS at 7:45 and headed to the bus stop. We had just a little bit of wait and when we got on one, there was hardly anyone on it with us.

We made it back to WL & decided to grab some cookies, brownies & drinks from the Club on our way to our room. They were all very tasty. When we got into our room, Reid's fuzzy friends were waiting up again for us. Aren't they sweet? And this little angel was waiting for us as well:

We let Reid go ahead & play for a little while with his new toys. Then, I heard it again: MK fireworks! The 3 of us hurried up to the corner windows in the hallway & were able to watch them again.

After that, we went back to our room & I got Reid ready for bed. He was asleep before I knew it. Okay, I hate to do this to y'all, but for the last part of this day's story, we're going to have to do some time traveling real quick. So, "Let's do the time warp again!"

In May 2010, Ed switched jobs. His new job was in a different city and he began commuting (1 1/2 - 2 hours each way) and we put our house up for sale. Three weeks after we put our house on the market, we got an offer & were set to close at the end of July. Long story short, 4 days before closing our buyer lost his loan! :sad1: I can not even begin to tell you the heartache this caused me since it meant not only could we not move but I would not be closing on the house we were buying that I loved! I was so stressed out by this & some other things that were going on at the time, that we ended up taking our house off the marked in Sept. 2010.

Time warp to February 2011: Ed decided he wanted to put the house back up on the market. From the get-go, we were having a steady stream of showings, then (about 3 weeks leading up to vacation) nothing was happening!

Okay, we're back to Disney now. Pretty much as soon as we got to Disney, we started having all these showings on the house! Well, on this particular night, Ed's cell phone rang at about 10:30. He didn't recognize the number, so he said he wasn't going to answer. I told him to go ahead & answer it because the area code was from back home. Well, it was our realtor calling from a different number. He had received a purchase agreement on our house! :woohoo: More pixie dust.

Well, long story short, we spent that night & some of the next hammering out some offer details & we finally accepted their offer! We are just praying that everything goes well this time around. Right now, we are set to close on June 15th!

That's part of the reason why I'm trying to do updates to my TR very frequently. Because, pretty soon, I need to get packing up our house!

Extra Notes: Both AK & DHS were moderately crowded but it never felt all that congested to us. It also didn't feel as hot as the other 2 days but that could be because we went at a bit more leisurely pace this day & also stayed in the shade a bit more.

UP NEXT: Our last day at the parks. Of course, that means we're heading back to the Magic Kingdom!

Just got home from eating all you can eat crab legs for our anniversary with our good friends and see you have an update...and a great one too.

What awesome pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: you guys recived with Toy Story Mania. And waht a lovely CM.

Happy Anniversary! What a great way to spend a Saturday night - all you can eat crab legs with good friends! Feel free to call me next time if your friends can't make it...:rotfl: And I'm so glad you enjoyed the update....thank you!

That CM was such a sweet girl! We really & truly enjoyed talking to her so much. And Reid just loved her! I was honestly surprised when she did that for us. I never thought that would EVER happen to us in WDW, let alone on one of the most popular & busy rides! It was truly magical!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well with the house sale.

Thanks so much! You'll know if something goes wrong because you will hear me screaming from all the way down here in south Louisiana! :lmao:

Amanda, definite good luck and pixie dust for the sale of your home !!!!!!!!!!!!

Peg

Amanda, definite good luck and pixie dust for the sale of your home !!!!!!!!!!!!

Peg

Thank you so much, Ms. Peg! :goodvibes We need all the luck & pixie dust out there after what we went through last summer. But, I'm trying to stay positive that it's all going to work out this time around.

It looks like you had a fantastic day at DHS. The pixie dust at TSM (X2) was pretty cool!:thumbsup2 I'm sure that Reid probably enjoyed the time that was spent in line the first time around though. I don't like standing in a long line for anything, but I really do enjoy the standby line there, there is so much to look at and it is really neat to see.

Thanks....we really did have a great day! And it was so unexpected. I'm so glad that Ed & I didn't leave DHS early, like we were thinking about doing. The pixie dust was just so surreal & awesome. But, like you mentioned, I'm very glad we went through the line the 1st time. Reid was loving it since Toy Story is his 2nd favorite set of characters (right behind Peter Pan, of course)!

Yay for your pixie dust!! I love it when CMs are sweet!! :goodvibes That's so awesome about your house too!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I love talking to the CM's. To me, that's part of the fun of being in WDW. And we were quite shocked to get an offer on the house. All is going well, so far. But, I still need to start packing - we close 3 weeks from today! :scared1:

Hi! Your trip sounds like a lot of fun so far, and I'm sure it will only get better with the cruise coming up. I can't wait to hear what that's like with a three year old. We're planning on going on a Disney cruise once Landon is 3.

Reid and Landon have the same Cars shirt. I always think it's a cute one for little boys. Oh and I love Reid's pirate ears! Those are adorable.

I hope your house closes successfully this time. We're closing on our house on June 15th, too, if all goes well, which I sure hope it does.

:wave2: We really had a great vacation. Ed & I both agreed that it was the best vacation we've ever had. I'm going to do an update today with our last day at the parks. And then, we'll be cruisin'! Definitely stick around for the cruise part because I'll just go ahead & tell you, it's awesome!

I loved that Cars shirt when I found it! I don't know where you got Landon's, but I got Reid's at Target. I was able to find so many cute Disney t-shirts for him before our vacation there and they were only $8! I also love his new pirate ears he got on this trip. Seems like we're making a tradition of getting a different set of ears for each trip.

I hope your house closes successfully this time. We're closing on our house on June 15th, too, if all goes well, which I sure hope it does.

That's too funny that y'all have the same close date! Thanks, I'm really praying that it all goes smoothly this time. We got an email from our agent last night saying everything is on track with our buyers, so it should be all good. And I'm sure yours will be good as well! :cheer2: I guess I should do an update to this TR & move it right along because I still need to start packing my house! :sad2:

Tip of the Day: If you are staying at Wilderness Lodge, you can take the boat to Magic Kingdom. It's a nice boat ride, I say do it once. After that, use the bus for Magic Kingdom. It's quicker & hardly anyone is ever on it because everyone goes on the boat!

We woke up at 5:30 am & started to get ready for our last day at the parks. It was sad but at least we had the cruise to look forward to! We ate breakfast again in the club. And were out the front doors of WL for 8 am. Now, if you'll remember from the last update, my darling husband made us an appointment with the DVC people this morning, even though we already own with Hilton. We didn't have to wait long for our van to pick us up to bring us to Sarasota Springs. We checked in & brought Reid to their kids' club. We have a very adaptable child, so dropping him off in a club/daycare type setting is not a problem with him. He hardly even turns around to tell us bye! Once we had him situated in there, we went to wait for our sales person. We didn't wait long at all before she came along. We were up front with her in regards to our ownership with Hilton. We discussed DVC & then she took us to tour the models. Then, we went back to her office & discussed the financial stuff. I will say this, if we didn't already own with Hilton, I would be on DVC like stink on a monkey or like white on rice - whichever you like better. We decided not to purchase right now since we already have a timeshare & since we had just found out the night before that we would be moving soon. Now, for our time she offered us two consolation prizes: 1. a Disney gift card (I want to say it was for $45 or $50) or special DVC fastpass cards. Well, we chose the FP cards. This is how they work: You get 3 plastic DVC cards (the size of your KTTW). Each card can be put into a FP machine up to 3 times. So, you get 3 cards that can each be used 3 times for a grand total of 9 FP's! This was really perfect for us since we only had 3 people in our group so it meant FP's for 3 rides. Oh, and when you get the FP's with these DVC cards, it doesn't give you whatever return time is listed on the sign. It's for whatever time you are actually getting them right then & there! Special FP cards in hand, we went off to collect our child. Well, not surprisingly, he didn't want to leave the club. Eventually, we did get him out of there & hopped into a DVC bus to take us to Magic Kingdom. They dropped us off right up front after all the bus stops.

After just a moment, we were finally back!

We made our way down Main Street & headed into Tomorrowland. Our first order of park business: get FP's for Buzz Lightyear. But we didn't use the DVC cards for this, we used our tickets. Once that was taken care of, Ed & Reid were feeling the need for speed! So, they headed here:

While they hit the track, I hit the pavement & did some speed walking to Peter Pan. Once there, I got 2 sets of FP's, using up 2 of our DVC cards. I then, speed walked back to the race cars. I got there just in time to see them coming down the exit. Not sure the ride really fulfilled their need for speed, but hey, they had fun. From there, we trekked back to Peter Pan & used our 1st set of the FP's. After that, it was time to make Ed suffer for making us the DVC appointment, so we went & rode It's a Small World. I think Reid's favorite part of this ride is when you get in the boat & you wave to the operator above you. He gets very hurt if they don't see him & wave at him! Ed's torture was over way too quickly, but I figured it felt longer to him. So, I left him off the ride & from there we headed to the carousel. From there, we were going to go eat lunch but decided it would be best to ride this BEFORE lunch:

We got into the line & I noticed that you can see into Toontown & you can see where they are putting up the double Dumbos.

And in no time at all, we were in our cup ready to spin! In case anyone has forgotten by now, this is one of Reid & Ed's favorite rides.

Once we were done spinning ourselves silly, we headed across the way to Cosmic Ray's for lunch. This is probably my favorite of the counter service restaurants in MK. You can find something for pretty much anyone. I can't remember what Ed had &, evidently, I forgot to write it down. I had some sort of turkey club wrap. It was huge! And so fresh & just really hit the spot in all the heat. With our bellies refueled, we made our way to Infinity and Beyond! No really, we just went to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. We got another set of FP's for Buzz with our regular tickets before going in to ride. Once we were done saving the galaxy yet again (we saved it quite a lot on this trip), we saw that Buzz was outside. We had a little bit of a wait for him but eventually made our way up to him.

From there, we headed back towards the castle. We could really tell that the park was sooooo much less crowded on this day than it was on the Monday. There was hardly anyone up front around the castle.

Now, I was very excited that there was hardly anyone up here because I wanted to get Reid's picture in front of the partners statue. I've never gotten his picture there before because every time we go it's just so crowded. Well, of course, he chose this moment to act like a typical 3 year old and this is the best he would give me:

Thanks, Reid! He was a little better to pose with the Dumbo statue:

He hasn't seen the Dumbo movie, but he has the book. And it's one of his favorite bed time stories.

I took a moment to snap a few other quick pics. For whatever reason, I just wasn't really in a picture-taking mood this day. But, here's a few others:

After our photo break, we continued on our way to.....................

First up...........................................................

Once we were done living the pirate's life, we headed to the Jungle Cruise. This is where we used our last DVC card for FP's. We got the FP's & immediately hopped in to the FP line. After our cruise in to the jungle (glad that's not the sea part of our vacation), we headed on over to ride the Magic Carpets.

After having the heat beat down on us in our carpets, we decided it was the perfect time for an ice cream break. So, we found a nice shaded bench and enjoyed our cold refreshments and just rested for a little while. I looked at my watch & saw that it was 3:45 pm. I knew that Jessie & Woody would be back out by Splash Mountain at 4:00 pm, so we headed that way to line up for them. The line wasn't too bad at that point. Maybe 5 other families in front of us. But, it sure got long real quick once it was almost 4! Reid was so excited to meet them because we had missed them during our December trip.

From there, we headed back to Fantasyland. We got another set of FP's for Peter Pan. Then, we rode Peter Pan with the second set of DVC FP's I had got that morning. Once we were done soaring high above Neverland, Reid was wanting to ride Buzz....again. So we headed that way since we had FP's. On our way there, it started to drizzle. When we were done riding Buzz, it was still raining, so we hopped on to the TTA. After our relaxing ride there, we got off & the rain had stopped!

By this time, we had to make our way to Liberty Tree Tavern for our 6:45 pm ADR. I didn't get any pics around this time because Reid started to be feisty & Ed was handling calls with our real estate agent because we were still in the process of doing counter offers at this time. We checked in at LTT at 6:25 pm & were seated at 6:45 pm. This place was very good. I will give 2 warnings, however. The first is that it is very loud, so some people may not like that. Secondly, if you have a small child that doesn't use a booster & sometimes sits on their knees, the chairs slide very easily on the floors. Reid's chair slipped & fell backwards while he was in it. He wasn't hurt, thankfully, There was a very nice lady at the table next to us who asked if he was ok, as well as a waitress passing by. Now, there was no manager in sight when it happened. But within 1 minute, a manager was at our table to check on him. This impressed me. The food is much like a Thanksgiving spread, but since I love Thanksgiving food, I had no problem with this. We did skip dessert this night because we had just had way too much turkey!

In fact, we probably shouldn't have eaten so much turkey because it wouldn't take very long after we left LTT for us all to start getting sleepy & slowing down. But, we found our way back here:

We were able to just walk right in & onto the 1st row of a boat! We then made our way over to Peter Pan to ride for the very last time this trip. This made me sad. When we got out of Peter Pan, I noticed there was absolutely no line for It's a Small World. Well, what can I say, I just couldn't pass up the chance to ride not only one of my sentimental favorites but to torture Ed at the same time! I'm determined to get him to like this ride! After that, we decided to start making our way out of the park. When we got to Buzz, there was no one there. So, we stopped to ride one last time. We then started to head up Main Street. This was a nightmare because the MSEP had just ended. But we eventually made our way up stream & out of the park. We noticed the line for the boat back to WL was lllooooooonnngggg. So, we headed to the bus stop. We waited just a few minutes before a bus came along. There ended up being no more than 15 people on the bus! And I couldn't believe how short the ride back to WL was!

We made our way back to our room & found some more friends waiting on us:

We had just gotten into the room when this happened:

Once I had Reid situated for bed, Ed & I spent some time finalizing the offer on our house. Then, it was time for me to pack! :sad1: I was so sad to be leaving the parks even though I knew we still had the cruise to look forward to. I think I was just so unsure of how the cruise would be. And whether Ed would like it or hate it like he did the 1st one we went on.

But, I finally got us all packed & was in bed for 12:30 am.

UP NEXT: We're heading to the Dream!

I would be on DVC like stink on a monkey or like white on rice - whichever you like better.
Why not both? Like a white rice on a stink monkey. :thumbsup2
(By the way - we love our DVC!)

Oh, and when you get the FP's with these DVC cards, it doesn't give you whatever return time is listed on the sign. It's for whatever time you are actually getting them right then & there!
Score!

Well, of course, he chose this moment to act like a typical 3 year old and this is the best he would give me:
Been there, done that. :confused3You did get a pretty nice shot, though!

Disney has magic floors that don't hurt. Thank goodness Reid was OK. ERs are never fun - especially on vacation. (I know from experience:sad2:)

We have our house on the market now, and we're spending two weeks in Florida at the end of June. Could Disney magic strike twice? Could we close a deal via cell phone from Main Street, USA?

What a great last day you had - sooo many rides! Nice job!

Tip noted!:thumbsup2

It looks like Reid got a lot of quality time with Peter Pan (and singing, dancing dolls) on the last park day. Bummer that you have to leave the parks, but I look forward to seeing how the cruise for you guys!

Why not both? Like a white rice on a stink monkey. :thumbsup2
(By the way - we love our DVC!)

:rotfl:
We were thinking of buying a small DVC package just to use for our Disney vacations. We may revisit that idea at a later time.

:thumbsup2 It definitely helped us make up time lost in the park that morning.

Looking back at it, it's really not bad. I guess I'm just so used to Reid always hamming it up for the camera, that I was hoping for better.

Yes, thank goodness for magic floors! Reid is pretty wild & crazy so, unfortunately, we're pretty used to injuries. The worst was when he got stitches on the bridge of his nose at 18 months. I can't even imagine having to go to the ER on vacation - sorry to hear you know what that's like. :sad2:

I will start doing a pixie dust dance for y'all right now! You never know - so keep that cell phone on you at all times!

Thanks! We really did have a great time at the parks. But then again, I guess it's kind of hard NOT to have a good time.

:lmao: Yes, he got lots of time with Peter & the dolls! It freaks Ed out that the dolls blink. :rotfl2:

It was definitely bittersweet packing that night.
