We Surround Them --- no bashing!!!

The title clearly says "NO BASHING." That means please do not post here if you disagree. There is no "rule" saying you have to follow it but it would be the nice and respectful thing to do. I guess that's asking way too much.

Why am I not a bit surprised? What is it about Glenn Beck that makes liberals foam at the mouth anyway? He's just a talk show host. It seems like anytime his name is brought up very strong feelings are evoked. I don't get it.

I can't stand Olberman but instead of trolling message boards and bashing him, I avoid the subject of him. I don't like him so I don't watch him, don't read about him, and don't talk about him. My blood pressure thanks me for it. You should give it a try. Just avoid things that upset you. It's very peaceful.

First, I have no blood pressure rising because of this or any other post, thank you very much. I know better than to take it so seriously! LOL. Stating an opinion -- and doing so respectfully, as I did here -- about something I disagree with doesn't in any way shape or form "upset" me.

For the record, I did not go "trolling the message boards" looking for something about Glen Beck. He wasn't even mentioned in the headline. But if you want an honest answer as to why Beck "offends" me, it is because, in a word, he is a hypocrite. He may be talking about God and Country and "can't we all hold hands and sing kumbaya" in this particular project, but he has put forth a whole lot of hate speech in the past. So while he does not "upset" me and I do not "go trolling" for Glen beck references, when I see something about him and I have an opinion with regard to it, I have no problem speaking up. I have no problem speaking up when Matthews or Maddow Olbermann or O'Reilly or any other self-serving pundit does the same thing.

Again, everything I say here I mean with complete and total respect. But as I said before, all one has to do to prevent people from "bashing" (aka speaking their own minds and voicing their own opinions) is to not allow comments.

Since when is disagreeing a form of bashing? Aside from that, anybody can put anything they want in the thread title to discourage dissent, but unless your name is Pete, Alex, Kathy, or you have Mod in your name, it's not up to anyone else to dictate who can or can't post on a thread. Until they put their foot down and say otherwise, I don't see the problem.

I believe the Bush administration would have a hard time following these principals...

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. So we should expect Bush, Cheney and Rove to turn themselves in sometime soon??

I liken all the whining, crying and carrying on to kids who were finally caught stealing the money and are now grounded and have to pay it back. They come up with all these doom and gloom predictions and try to get others to believe that they were doing the right thing all along.

The simple fact of the matter is that we've done it "their" way for years and America as a country and Americans as a whole now stand on the verge of bankruptcy. "We" are taking it back out of "their" hands. "We" will now have to do the hard part that every mother of any badly budgeted house has had to do: clean up the mess, cut back on treats that the spoiled kids got used to, and try to get this household back on a paying basis.

It won't happen the first year and may not happen the second year. But it WILL happen.

So whine all you want. Whining costs nothing.
