This is a project that conservative talk show host Glenn Beck is doing. If you agree with the principles, please do what it says at the end of the thread AND email the info to others who might wish to be involved. If you do not, please simply hit the "back" button.

We Surround Them-The Unveiling
March 13th on FOX News 5pm ET

Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?

Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?

Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach…as if you’re completely alone?

If so, then you’ve fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie. While the voices you hear in the distance may sound intimidating, as if they surround us from all sides—the reality is very different. Once you pull the curtain away you realize that there are only a few people pressing the buttons, and their voices are weak. The truth is that they don’t surround us at all.

We surround them.

So, how do we show America what’s really behind the curtain? Below are nine simple principles. If you believe in at least seven of them, then we have something in common. I urge you to read the instructions at the end for how to help make your voice heard.

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

You Are Not Alone

If you agree with at least seven of those principles, then you are not alone. Please send a digital version of your picture to: wesurroundthem@foxnews.com and then stay tuned to the radio and television shows over the coming weeks to see how we intend to pull back the curtain.

I believe the Bush administration would have a hard time following these principals...

So we should expect Bush, Cheney and Rove to turn themselves in sometime soon??

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. How about compassionate? Empathetic? Dare I say, a good Christian???

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. So you are a big proponent of civil liberties, excellent, then you must totally disagree with the Bush administration's policies of illegal wiretapping, suspension of habeus corpus, holding suspects indefinitely without a trial, and here's the biggie, you are totally against torture of any kind?

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

And it only took 6 posts. . .oops! 7

Hey, thanks for posting this. I agree with these and will consider sending in a picture.

Because Principals give you detention, where principles prevent the trip to the Principal in the first place........

:)

Oh, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck said hi & great job with the whole Hope and Change thing so far! Wowza!!! :thumbsup2

You do realize that research has shown that conservatives donate more than liberals? I will pick my own charity that I BELIEVE in. You haven't walked a mile in my shoes, why should you get to choose where my money goes? I may deem that my money can better be spent on Brain Tumor research over Breast Cancer. My money, My Choice.

Wiretapping, suspending habeus corpus, holding terror suspects indefintely without a trial and torture is fine with me if it saves lives. Sometimes one must die for the masses to survive. Founding principle of emergency management is: do the greatest good for the greatest amount of people.

I have every intention of sending my picture in. I better hop to. Thanks for the reminder.

America -- love it or leave it!

Sound familiar? Because those are words that many, many of us had to listen to for the past 8 years when we shared our distress at the direction this country was taking.

Sorry. I just find it quite ironic that, now that the shoe is on the other foot, dissent is patriotic and right. :thumbsup2

It's really time for you to get a life. President Bush is no longer the President. Its President Obama. That is what we are dealing with today. Open your eyes, and try and understand what is happening around you.:sad2:

Do you think it's that easy to get over 8 years of bitterness when many people here can't get over 4 months of it?

I'm serious. Can't you or anybody else see the hypocrisy going on with this election and new president?

You got to have your 8 years of bitterness, now I get to have my 4. You were upset at the direction the country was taking during those years, I'm upset about the direction the country is taking now. I can be bitter if I want to and I can criticize or speak out about the things I don't agree with. I let you have that right during the last 8 years, now it's time for you to let me do the same thing.

It's really time for you to get a life. President Bush is no longer the President.
So we should just ignore everything that took place during the last 8 years.:lmao:
