WHAT show were YOU watching????![]()
The same one!!! Look at them!!!
I should maybe note I am a counselor and pay tons of attention to facial expressions and body language. Words are cheap.

....the one with the rippling muscles underneath? No, I hadn't noticed....![]()
When Andi was talking in the men tell all hubby and I we're yelling "bull!!!" At the TV. ... I don't know why she lied in the men tell all. To protect Josh I guess. It was quite mean how she talked though and ...

I have refrained from posting on this thread all season.
But, I will chime in now.
I was watching the VERY same show the one above poster was watching.
100%
I am big on watching for body language and things that would just be so hard to pull off when scripted.
I saw it very similarly to how this poster saw it.
It was VERY confusing to watch.
But, now, of course, hindsight is 20/20.
She was SCARED of choosing Josh, and was telling herself THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME it 'should' be Nick.
And, as for Josh.... He must like leftovers.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly. She was reassuring him on their last date. Everything she said when she talked about Nick in the ITM's. I am convinced she did love him and was just scared and went with what she knew (Nick's interpretation and I don't think he was off. She was hesitant about Josh the whole time.
I will say this, I don't think she is the S word. She did lead Nick on but I do think it was because she did mean it and was in love with him. Where it went wrong is after when she was so scared to face and live with her choice (why? Why? If you are so sure you made the right call.. why refuse to talk to the person?!), she refused to talk to him and give him closure (which he understandably needed) and she the told him she never loved him. She was so cold and trying so hard to keep a straight face and not show emotion. She very much looked like she was lying IMO.

Sorry, you weren't seeing what I was seeing...at all, counselor.
I saw a lust relationship with Nick and a obsessive relationship with Josh. Note she allows Nick to pursue HER and SHE pursued Josh. Nick made her his total obsession aka adoration, which all human beings desire. Otoh, SHE was obsessed with how Josh felt about her because it was a conquest for her. She knew where he was from and who he was related to and she has a THING for jocks. No WAY was she letting the opportunity of a lifetime slip thru her hands. Nope, not gonna happen.
Note, I never said the word "love" because at this point in any relationship, LOVE has nothing to do with it. Love is more than an emotion, it's an verb. No one in these shows knows if they LOVE that person, they're in a competition. They want to, for lack of a better term, WIN. The bachelors were competing against each other for a prize. Note, also, that both men are alpha males who are salesmen. They don't take NO as a stop, it's just an opportunity to truly sell.
To both of them, imho, Andi was the trophy they win or the bonus they receive after the sale. Totally invested emotionally.... I don't buy it with either of them.
The real story begins after the show ends. It's easy to decide on a woman when she's the ONLY woman around. Let's see what happens in the long run, when it becomes REAL.
As for Nick, I work with HIS kind all day long and have for 30 years. He's as slick as oil dung. He knows what to say and how to sell himself better than most people, he must be one heck of a salesman.
But I do agree with one thing you said, words ARE cheap. I don't listen, I observe. The interpretations I come up with are based on my own experience as I'm sure yours are, too. No doubt that's why we see two different things.
Women are a little harder for me to read than men, men are very easy to me, sometimes a little TOO easy. The men in my life HATE it, but it works for me.![]()
I'll go you one better Robin. I think that Andi (whether consciously or subconsciously) thought, "Which guy should I take to the finale that will NOT be a threat to Josh and my relationship with him?" We know the other guys in the house didn't like Nick, he was portrayed (whether through editing or in truth) as a strategic "player" of the "game", he ended up looking like a stalker, etc. So the day after the finale, Andi could tell Josh, "It was you, it was always you, you can't possibly believe I ever liked NICK as much as you" and Josh would believe it. Think if she would have kept Chris instead of Josh, wouldn't Chris have been a much bigger threat?
I'm way too overinvested in this, but I think that this season took manipulation of the viewers to a whole new level....

I agree. I think we watched the same show.

This is just my inner skeptic, but how do we know that Andi wasn't told not to meet with him- either officially or unofficially, to keep the drama for the finale? After all, if he were allowed to meet with her privately (off camera) what would we all be talking about today?
I haven't watched many seasons so I don't have too much to compare to, but last season Clare pretty much said the same thing to Juan Pablo, something along the lines of "I wouldn't have done what we did if you hadn't made me think I was the one." But it was said in a moment of passion (right when she was getting dumped) and not in front of a live studio audience.
Once last thing to keep in mind, the lead HAS to lead the other person on to an extent. They have to make them think it could be them, that is the whole point of the show!

Also - if monogamous physical intimacy is your line in the sand, and is important to you - perhaps the Bachelor/Bachelorette isn't the "journey" for you.
