Just returned from a short WDW trip & I have to say that my family loved the evening EMH.

Unfortunately, we were only able to take advantage of one of them because they're not available each night. It seems that they alternate between a morning one & an evening one on different days.

We took advantage of MGM this past Sunday. My kids are 15, 12 & 12 & they thoroughly enjoyed it. They are into all the thrill ride attractions now so they loved riding RNR over & over. We didn't do ToT, but there was only a 10 minute wait. Actually, nothing was longer than 10 minutes. Pretty much all walk-ons.

Not all attractions are open, the ones that need daylight are closed, but we really enjoyed the lighter crowds & being able to see the things we did.

We'll be back in a few weeks during a peak time & I know it will be more crowded, but this can really thin out the crowd because it is only allowed for resort guests.

JMO, but I really like this perk for resort guests. You can see that Disney is trying to do different things to get people to stay on property & again, I believe this to be a plus & a way to get guests to stay on-site.

Count me in for really loving the evening EMH!!! :flower:

I didn't realize they alternated them. I am not a morning person so the nights are better for us. I hope they work out for us on this trip. How far in advance are the hours for EMH set and how likely are they to change?

We'll be there in 51 days. :cool1: I can't wait to try out the new EMH. I'm sure my 13 year old son will have a blast running back and forth between TOT and RNRC. :moped: :moped:

Not sure how far in advance they are set, but you'll get an information sheet listing regular & EMH hours upon check-in.

I am having trouble figuring out PS's. I would make dinner ressies at the park with EMHs but since I don't know what that will be we are having trouble making our itinerary. And you KNOW we are Disney planning addicts so we are extremely excited to make the itinerary. It is the Disney addict's version of the 10 Commandments! :teeth:

I can't wait! I'm leaving Fri night and we'll be in the MK by Saturday and staying for a week so I can't wait to do these, I'm soooo excited!!! I want to leave right now!!!

I looked on disney's website, and it looks like they alternate between 2 different schedules depending on when you are attending the parks. One schedule seems to consistently begin the 20th of each month, so I looked at this one since I will be down there the end of May. Under this schedule, Monday has a morning EMH at Epcot, Tuesday a morning EMH at MGM and an evening EMH hour at AK, Wednesday has an evening EMH at MK, Thursday has an evening EMH at Epcot, Friday has a morning EMH at MK, Saturday has a morning EMH at AK, and Sunday has an evening EMH at MGM.

Is bogart going with you! :teeth:

:guilty: No, I wish I could take him with me though, I'm going to miss him sooo much!!! He's going to stay with his grandma and "cousin" Tobey (who is also a shih tzu) I always want to get home to my baby! But I need to go to my laughin' place too! :earboy2:

I know my kids are thrilled with the extra magic evening hours. They, too, hated to get up early to hit the parks. "This is vacation, dad." This way we'll all get a little bit of what we want. I for one think this is one of the most exciting perks in a long time.

This helps! Thanks! I hope I can use this. I will keep an eye on the schedules and see if they remain consistent! It looks like the only park that won't be open late while we are there is MGM. Unless they are open the first night we are there which is a Sunday. Now that I think about it, it should be, right, if that schedule stays the same?

I am hoping that the evening hours will make less people get up for the morning extra hour. We have little kids so we will all be up early-maybe we will be lucky and be alone :rotfl2:

We loved them too. We did EPCOT on Thursday, 2/17 and MGM on Sunday, 2/20. They were both great.

I think it's great for on site guests too. I'd love the parks to just in general to stay open that late, as they did years and years ago, however, it's a good thing. A great perk.

My wife and I are AP holders and like to go up on weekends (except for our week long anniversary vacation) and therefore cannot afford to be staying onsite since we go more often.

HOwever, we like it because even though we cannot ride rides, something many dont know is that you can stay in the parks. You just cannot get on rides. We stay in the parks the extra couple of hours and enjoy Main St. (on MK night) and enjoy walking through the parks just sitting in different areas and talking and enjoying the atmosphere. We'll buy food at some open locations (the junk stuff). So even if you dont stay on site you can stay in the park and just sort of enjoy yourself. To me, just being in the park is great.
