Soooo....

I called Member Services and added another night at SSR on points. And another night of DxDDP. I didn't want another night of Dining, but that's just how it worked out best. Now I need more ADRs.

I was THRILLED to discover I could stay on the waitlist for another night at AKV! I just had to have them make a note to borrow 5 points from next year if the night opens up!

The lack of AP rates is vexing. But paying rack rate for 3 nights is better than 4, and if our waitlist comes through we'll only be at rack rate for two nights. Of course then there is the issue of switching resorts just for 2 nights, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

My mom had her surgery yesterday. Her lymph nods were positive for cancer cells. That was not the news I was hoping for. Now she will need chemo and radiation. Her treatments will very likely begin the week before we leave for WDW. I have been pricing short-notice flights out of MCO in case something goes wrong. They ain't cheap. I spoke to Mom last night and she sounded good. They kept her in the hospital overnight. I haven't heard from her today - she was supposed to call me when she got home. I am flying up there in the morning.

My car rental rates continue to be double what they are for everyone else, even though I am using the same exact codes. I think we will skip the car and deal with the buses.

I think I have finally managed to get our ADRs sorted out. Again. I added a dinner at Tusker House and a lunch at 50's PT. I moved our WCC breakfast to a different day. I moved our dinner at Yachtsman to a later time because I thought we'd still be full from lunch. Maybe I am finished now! (Yeah. Right!)

Shes ok.. she starts chemo tomorrow. The tumor has grown significantly, it's now over 5 cm so she will be going through 8 months of chemo before they even think about surgery.

I am so sorry! You will both be in my thoughts! Hopefully the chemo will shrink the tumor.

I am at my mom's house now. She seems to be feeling fine, but she is a little feverish. I am going to keep a very close eye on her and if she stays feverish we are calling her doctor.

I guess to keep things on topic I can add that we are still debating over switching to the Poly for 3 nights. Of course availability changes every time I look, so for now we're still doing WL. If we change I want to modify our existing ressie so our deposit will carry over. I didn't bring my Disney Visa with me so I can't put a new deposit down.

I am still reading, still pretty confused about where you are staying, and I sure hope you have a spreadsheet for all of those ADRs you have planned! I am very jealous of the DVC.....why oh why did we build this house which jacked our payment up too much to join?

It is confusing! And the peek-a-boo AP rate at the Poly is making it worse! I was online last night and could have booked the Poly for the nights we need, BUT I don't have the right credit card with me to pay a new deposit. I called first thing this morning to modify our existing ressie but now the room is gone. So I called DH and had him give me the CC# I use for all of the WDW stuff so I can book online IF it shows up again! And then I'll have to switch the fishing excursion to the Poly instead of WL.

I have a little chart. It is relaxing to me to draw my little chart and fill it in with resort, park, and ADR info day by day. I haven't mastered doing it on the computer.

I must say I am so amazed at all that you have done and are dealing with durring with this process. It is still a little confused as to where you are staying. But it looks that way also.

I have to agree with you abou the whole camera issue. Only I am the photo fanatic in our household and I am still reading all I can get my hands on to get that perfect photo. But I do have to agree it is a very expensive habit to pick up.

I hope you mother is able to recover quickly and She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I tell DH all the time that I am "The Handler" of the family. I handle things. WDW planning, my mother, whatever else comes my way.

We leave in 6 weeks so I will have to get my resort choices handled soon!

I found a 15% off coupon on REI's website, so I imagine we'll go investigate camera bags after I get home from visiting Mom.

Mom is doing pretty well. She was running a fever last night so we are going to call the doctor this morning. I don't want to get into the weekend and have her spike a fever. I need to know if we are supposed to call her doctor, or the hospital, or take her to the ER, or what.

I couldn't get 1900 quite as early as I wanted it, but we'll show up a little early and see if we can be seated a bit sooner. I ALMOST cancelled my Chef Mickey ADR because I said the wrong date. I had my ADR chart right in front of me, but somehow the wrong date popped out of my mouth. The CM said "I see you have Chef Mickey's that same morning. Do you want to cancel it?" AAACCK! NO, don't cancel it!

I moved our fishing excursion from WL to the Poly.

I think I am done now. (Yeah. Right.)

Since I am traveling without the charger for my cell phone I need to try to make the battery last until I get home Monday night. Tuesday morning I need to call and have them read back my ADRs. I have changed them (no exaggeration) at least 15 times. Better to catch the errors NOW while I might still be able to salvage the ADR.
