We got our dessert to go so I haven't taken pics of it. We were stuffed, so we just stuck it in the fridge.

I have to say SSR has more SCREAMING children/people than any resort I have ever stayed in before. People screaming in the pool, people screaming in the outdoor corridors (which are concrete and ECHO), people on the walkway off the patio at 4 AM talking so loud they woke me up. :headache:

I just now went out and told a group of about 8 screaming people outside my front door to QUIET DOWN. There were adults in the group, but apparently they think it is acceptable to SCREAM in the corridors at 10 PM. Maybe where they come from that is appropriate behavior? :confused3 None of them offered an apology, they just stared at me. Nice.

I am sorry SSR isn't being very good to you. But YEAH!!! on being in the parade:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I am loving your trip!!

Can't wait to see you guys!! :goodvibes

Today was kind of wonky because it POURED rain.

We got to MGM in plenty of time for early entry. We went to the bus stop at 6:55 AM and the bus arrived at 7:12. It wasn't even cloudy then. We got our FP for Toy Story, DS and DH rode Star Tours, then we bought muffins at Writers Stop. From there we walked thorough the shops looking for pins. It was a HORRIBLE pin day! NONE of the lanyards had been refreshed, and I mean NONE. Even the managers had crummy pins. Very disappointing.

I saw some earrings the other day that I wanted to look at again. I still have my birthday gift card. The lady took them out of the case for me but after I looked at them up close I decided I didn't want them. The quality just didn't match up with the price. From there we got a FP for RnRC, then we rode Toy Story. Love that ride!

After that we rode Great Movie Ride. We FINALLY got the cowboy scene instead of the gangster! That was cool, because we have been on that ride dozens of times and never managed to get the cowboy. When we came out it poured rain, complete with lightning and thunder. We hid under the hat until it let up.

We met Janet, Garrett, and Riley at 50's for lunch. Our waitress wasn't THAT fun, but she was OK. Food was decent. I didn't happen to think about the lunch menu being different than dinner. I forgot to take pics of the food. It was wonderful to meet janet and her boys, and we are going to meet up tomorrow at AK to do some rides. :)

After lunch we decided to come back to SSR for a nap. I was really tired. We waited about 20 minutes for a bus. We got up around 6 PM to get ready for dinner. Since it was kind of late we took a cab to Yacht Club. Good thing, too, because right as we got to our table it started to POUR again. Chances are if we had tried to go on the boat from MGM we would have been drenched.

I have to say dinner was marvelous! We had a disappointing experience there a few years ago and we haven't been back since then. After Le Cellier changed their menu I decided to give Yachtsman another try. It was excellent! We met the manager and I told him we had a very enjoyable meal and we'll definitely be back. Our server was Ricardo and he was OUTSTANDING! I will request him whenever we dine there from now on.

Elizabeth,

So happy you are having a grand time. Loving your report. Tell Janet hi tomorrow. I didn't get a chance to say bye to them!! :goodvibes

The food so far looks really yummy...When I go in October we are doing the DXDDP. I hope it works out...

Grand Marshalls, how cool is that?

Today is "work" day around here, gotta get the house cleaned, laundry done, and start packing. I have to work a half day tomorrow and Monday we head out, we'll be stoping over in Tallahassee and leaving early Tuesday am so we should be at Disney between 9 and 10 am. We haven't made any park plans for Tuesday yet, what park will you and Janet be in?

Sending lots of PD :wizard: for your Mom.

Hi, Debbie! I think Tuesday is Epcot for us. We switch to the Poly on Monday.

It is crowded. I have always said I don't notice fluctutations in crowds, but this trip has been CROWDED. Yesterday the wait for RnRC was 80 minutes, ToT was 60. I can't recall ever seeing ToT with a wait that long! Combined with the heat it has been challenging to get anything done. It seems like we do maybe 2 or 3 rides each day and that's it.
