We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

IMG_7129Small.jpg

This picture reminds me that I'm still kicking myself for not buying a mug this past trip......I :lovestruc Disney shopping!!

too funny that your DH was prepared for you wanting to try on more tiaras!! Henry is too cute with his DUT DUT! I too like all the mickey kitchen supplies but why kid myself...I don;t cook! Though I am going to have to start once Caleb is able to eat table food. Poor kid!:rotfl:

What a great DHS day. The Mickey Mouse Shape sorter...my DS had that when he was about Henry's age and absolutely loved it. He's a big boy now so he told me I could sell it at our next garage sale, because he knows all his shapes:sad2:

Since Henry was feeling great that morning and it had been three days since he had thrown up, and he hadn't had any milk products for that long-and very, very few before then, I thought I would be brave and try yogurt.

Looking back, I think my mind was fuzzy. There is ZERO way I would have given him yogurt at home after the episode the night before. Duh. :headache:

I chalk it up to Vacation brain, and the hypnotization that Disney seems to do to people...

BUT, he happily ate every single bit of that yogurt and KEPT IT DOWN. No problems at all!

:rotfl: I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets that hypnotization ;) I swear, they must pump something into the air down there. And I'm glad Henry kept everything in! :woohoo:

IMG_7070Small.jpg

I think these should have more frosting...;)

See and here I was thinking that they do need more frosting  But then again, I'd rather have the can of frosting than the cake!

And I'm so glad you got to meet up with a fellow Wildbunch member...how very cool!

Henry is so precious with Dut Dut! :lovestruc

I love the sidewalk art. It's those little touches that make Disney so very special.

You look adorable trying on the princess crowns. Hehehe. I am going to have to steal your mirror picture idea on my May trip. They make such interesting photos! I also love all the photos you get of the details and the more unusual angles. Your photos are so much fun to look at!

Aren't Dismeets great! I met a bunch of Disers for dinner in August there were 40 of us in all including spouses and kids!:thumbsup2

/
Your comment about the chocolate covered rice krispie treats had me laughing out loud this morning!

Chelsea loves seeing Bo!!! I can tell that she is getting more and more excited about seeing him again in less than three months!

Cool DIS meet!!!

I love all the angles you got -- I just love the buildings at DHS! All of your hat and cooking gear photos are too funny!

I can't believe that TSM FPs were gone by 10:00 -- that's crazy!

I love the pics of you trying on crowns and Joe waiting with another crown for you, so cute! I'm glad Henry is feeling better and that you didn't have to make a trip to a hospital or clinic. It really sucks when our kiddos are sick and we second guess ourselves on what we should have done or should do. I'm right there with ya! Parenting is hard! lol

We're 52 days away from our DD's first WDW trip, living vicariously thorugh yours for the moment. DD will be 19 months on our trip so I'm loving seeing Henry enjoying himself. Makes me less worried about how DD will do.

So after the Ghetto Gas and GPS day yesterday.... as I got to this post all I could see was the yummo bakery goods... a clear sign you were back at WDW!

BTW... thanks for more hat pics... I can already see that I will be getting one for Luke... not sure which one though!

YES! Out of the real world, in our happy place again! :yay:

There are soooo many cute little boy hats to choose from! The train one was my fav. Just something about little boys and trains. Henry does the "choo-choo" sound now when he sees trains (more like a "shh, shh" though ). I hope Luke loves the hat, unlike my little guy! Maybe December...

It was great to meet you, Joe and sleeping Henry, even if it was so short! :goodvibes

Now I think we should have stayed longer and just went on a different ride together. But we were really not thinking straight that day. My friend and I had been at the Poly bus stop at 8:15 and waited for a bus until 8:50, so we just missed rope drop and ended up waiting for ten minutes for the TSM fastpasses. I really like my early mornings in the parks and don't mind getting up early for it, but I was really annoyed that the Disney bus service ruined my plans. Unfortunately early morning bus service at the Poly really did not work for us!!

This was already a bad start for our morning and the many tour groups did not really make it any better. They weren't loud or anything, they just made the park very crowded! We ended up walking all the way to Epcot via the Boardwalk. Which was a lovely walk, but it felt very hot, so we were quite exhausted by the time we got to Epcot. Fortunately Epcot was practically empty!

You know, I would have loved a mosquito farm!! :rotfl2:

I can only agree with that! :goodvibes

That's a really nice picture of the three of us!

I have never seen these flags! You are really good in catching details that I have missed!

I seem to have started a tradition of getting a bag at WDW every time I am there - they really sell very cute bags and I can never resist them!!

Those are really cute, I got the for a friend!!

I am sorry that you never found those mugs, but I can't remember that I saw them on this trip, either.

Ugh, what a morning you two had! Sometimes I love the Disney buses, but other times they are just awful. Reminds me of how we missed the turn completely for DHS back in November on the Disney bus. I was worried about the FP for TSM. Thankfully we were still early enough! I hate how it can really screw up your plans. :headache: Esp when you purposely get up to MISS the crowds and get where you want to quickly!

I agree with you on the tour groups-they weren't loud or anything (the only annoying time I had with them was an experience in a bathroom-all the girls were sitting on the counter blocking every sink but one), but they sure did take up a LOT of space in the parks! Thankfully, as you will find out, our plans didn't really ever cross theirs and we had a very magical day at DHS! :thumbsup2

You are so right-we should have just hit up a different ride-anything! The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours, anything! I totally didn't think about it at the time either. Next time our paths cross we'll do it!

Glad to hear Epcot was almost empty! That makes the long walk worth it.

I just Googled "Mosquito Farm" to find you a pic, and found out there is a band out there named that! :lmao:

I love the Disney bags. I'm always picking them up, then putting them back down. In almost every single store. I can't justify the purchase. BUT, I think come December, I just might "need" a new purse. Plus, we'll have more money to spend on random stuff since we paid for our APs on this trip! I can see a bag in my future...

They must have discontinued that mug...but if it's been around for a while, I guess it's time! I'll have to hunt it out on eBay.

I really like that pic of all three of us too! Joe did a good job. :goodvibes

Great update, as always!!! :goodvibes

SO glad that H was feeling better. Love that he finally brought you your shoes to say "let's get going!" :rotfl:

Your DHS day looks so fun. Isn't the pavement "painting" so awesome? I don't know how they do it! And is it just water? :confused3

Hurrah for an international DIS meet. That looks super fun.

Henry and his Donald Dut dut are too cute! What a smart kid pushing his hand! :lmao:

Love all your shopping pics. I like that picture frame very much too!!

He was so funny with the shoes-he did it almost every day. I bet in December he'll be saying "Go now" or something along those lines!

DHS was a GREAT day. And it just gets better!

I think it is just water with the pavement painting - it seems to dry up pretty quickly. I love it! I think it's so clever and pretty much costs Disney NOTHING to do it! Nice little touch and money smart in this crazy economy!

Joe and I couldn't believe Henry remembered and kept squeezing Dut dut's hand. It's amazing what they remember....and what they don't for that matter! ;)

The DIS meet was great! It was wonderful meeting them!

Palm trees and bags. Love 'em both!
I will be in this same place one week from today! :cool1:

:woohoo: YAY! ONE WEEK MEMOM! ONE, UNO! :woohoo:
You are so close to those very palm trees and bags.

Oooh, I gotta check my jealousy here...I've been trying so HARD to find a long weekend to fit in a quick trip. So far, nothing is working. :sad2:

BUT, that just means I'll be living through your TRs until then! :yay:

Great update Brook. I love all the details you catch in your photos! I have never noticed those sidewalk drawings in DHS before. I'll be sure to keep my head down next time I'm there!

I literally have to tear myself away from these bag displays when I'm at Disney. I already have more than enough bags w/various Disney logos on them; I certainly don't need any more. But I find them all so stinkin' cute!

I bought the "Girls Rule" shirt w/Maleficiant on it. Very cool!

I was going to buy Amanda that same talking Donald (outside Mickey's Philharmagic, right?); but none of the display Donalds were working right. The voice was really low so I just went with the large plush Donald. He was so soft!

Just about spit out my coffee looking at this one! All you're missing are the ears and over-sized yellow shoes!:lmao:

The sidewalk drawings are fairly new it seems, I've just been seeing them pop up on recent TRs. It's really fun to watch the CM create it. They just look like regular sweepers, then they suddenly start creating this big ol drawing.

All the Disney bags are super cute! I am tempted in every single store. And I bet they come out with new ones all the time! The Poly store seemed to have a HUGE variety.

Yep, the talking Donald was right outside of Philharmagic. That is awful about them not working! But, it sounds like the large plush one was a good find! Thankfully Henry doesn't know anything about size porportion yet...hee hee.

I'm shy - can you tell by the pics?! :rotfl: It all started with the apron, then one oven mitt, then the other...I so should have grabbed the ears!!

I realized my post about your KSC day got lost, so let me see if I can remember what I wrote...

I love how much Joe loves everything space! DH is the same way - so many cool things to see there!

Aren't GPS the best thing in the world but the most annoying thing too?! "Recalculating" in that annoying voice! Glad you it didn't get you detained or anything!

And the Ghetto Gas Station... oh my! The things you'll do as a mom! You deserve a :grouphug: after that experience!

And now another great update! A Dis meet, more cool pictures, and a happy looking Henry! All the pictures from the bakery are making me drool and want to abandon the healthy eating I'm trying to partake in!! I'm thinking some snack credits are going to be spent on something there!

Eeep! I hate it when the DIS eats posts.

There really are so many neat things at KSC, it was facinating. I'm looking forward to our return trip!

Yes, I TOTALLY agree on the GPS! I love it, and it's annoying. Joe also pulls it down every 4 minutes (okay, slight exggaration) to look at it. I just want to say "LEAVE IT BE!" but I let him play. He's a geek, with a toy, plus he can now "see" where we are going in a sense.

The Ghetto Gas ordeal was absurd...thankfully we could laugh about it and just let it go! It's a fun memory we'll have forever I'm sure!

This week has been a VERY unhealthy eating week for me. I've completely gone off my diet. I'm sure the scale on Friday is gonna be ugly!!

Starring Rolls is really nice-a great spot, shaded tables. Inside is TEENY though. But, quite a few choices, and they all are yummy looking!

I love that you guys surprised Henry with his Dut Dut! He looks so sweet waking up with those pink cheeks focusing in on his new friend! :lovestruc
Your DISmeet was very fun!
I am quite impressed with the road art! I haven't seen this before (maybe because I am a ride lunatic grabbing the FP!! :rotfl: ) That is amazing that the guy can make the characters with his broom, very cool. I will be on the lookout the next time we go.
Starring Rolls brought back happy memories... we would stop there and get a snack and people watch. Certain places at Disney are perfect for people watching! ;)
I love Palm trees too! I think associate them with vacations! :thumbsup2 The only place we have them here is in the mall!

I love his pink cheeks too!! He was so happy with his Dut Dut, bringing it to his chest and hugging it. :lovestruc (of course, that was after I had already put the camera away again and he had woken up some...!)

I think the roadart is pretty new...so be on the look out for your next trip!! It's really fun to see!

I agree with you on Starring Rolls, such a great spot! And little shaded tables...we could have spent quite a bit more time there just relaxing. I can see it becoming an "oasis" for a break for us each trip.

I think we have fake trees in our mall. Our mall is so sad. 80s tile and plastic trees. Sigh.

I love all the detail you capture. I hope to slow down on our next trip and notice them myself. Henry looked so cute waking up to his Dut Dut. I love your various outfits, and poses in the stores!

It's fun to just walk and look up, you see so many random things-like the flags, and the architecture on top of buildings - it's definetly adds to the overall feeling of WDW, but most people never see it! When I was in school to be a City Planner, our architecture teacher always told us "Look up! Look up! The best part is on top!" and he's right! All the buildings, so much detail is way up high! So, I have a habit of seeing little details, thanks to him! :thumbsup2

It's crazy how crowded it was! I really would have thought that you were going at a slower time of year :confused3

I've never noticed the sidewalk 'paintings'! Those are so cool, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for them next time.

My first DIS meet was at ToT too! It was purely accidental though, I recoginized her and her family from her siggy pic here on the DIS and said hello. We rode ToT together and now I have a ride picture of her children and mine on ToT for the first time thinking that they were going to die! :rotfl:

All of your detail photos show me just how much I miss going 90 mph all the time. I think the crowds alone will force me to slow down on our next trip, and now thanks to you, I'm really looking forward to it! :thumbsup2

We thought we were going at a slower time too! :sad2: We will NEVER go at a normal or high time. Never. It was nuts!! I can't imagine it even more packed. I would go crazy. Unless, like you, I prepared myself for it, a while in advance, and knew going in! Hopefully you'll be able to see lots of stuff you have never noticed, and grab pics with your new camera!

That is so funny about recognizing a DISer! I love it! And how cool that you got a pic from the first ride on ToT! I might have to do that when Henry is old enough....I bet it's a great reaction!

Henry's so cute with his new little Dut-Dut! :goodvibes: I love all the pictures... and can't believe how fast TSM ran out of fastpasses!

I think the FPs go in about an hour, or even less. Hopefully that will stretch out to a normal rate soon though...I would like to ride it again sometime, and being non-RD people, that makes it hard! All well though, I like my sleep and lazy mornings on vacation! Plus, as Henry gets bigger, and realizes what is awaiting him at the parks, that will probably end!

Love the update. That little Henry with the Dut Dut is so cute trying to press his hand!!! Love it. I love the artwork in the streets!! We have never seen that. We are trying to decide if we want to do the American Idol thing when we go in May. I have 2 sons (20 & 16) so probably not & my DH is not into that so I might not get into that this year. Is your DVC with SSR? We are seriously considering buying into it & although Beach Club is my first choice I think we can afford SSR more & that is my second choice.

Henry still loves his Dut Dut. Sleeps with him every night! I love his rosy cheeks in those pics - he was slightly confused, like "How did Dut Dut get here?" :lovestruc

I think the artwork in the streets is pretty new - so maybe you'll run into it on your next trip!

I think the American Idol experience takes quite a bit of time, 45 minutes maybe? Maybe the guys can hit LMA and you can do AI?

Our DVC is at AKV. We bought straight from Disney back in November, the choices at the time were AKV or BLT. We stayed at SSR this time on Developer Points. I liked SSR, but it's very spread out, which took some adjusting for us. I think the Treehouse Villas are going to be stunning though!

Great updates once again. Love the Dut Dut. That is very cool you got to meet up with other DISers. Love the shopping pics they are very creative and neat to look at. Cant wait to hear more!!!

The shopping pics idea comes straight from MeMom! She does TONS of shopping pics and they are so fun to look at. It's amazing how you can be in the very same store, in the same month, and not see the same things! I don't know if it's because there is so much to look at, or that Disney switches their displays that often? Regardless, it's fun!

A heads up... we have seen the sidewalk water art at the MK and Epcot too! First started noticing it last September.

Ya, that is about when I think I started seeing it pop up on TRs too. Hopefully they keep with it! It's creative and fun and cheap for Disney! ;)

This picture reminds me that I'm still kicking myself for not buying a mug this past trip......I :lovestruc Disney shopping!!

I LOVE mugs. Our cabniet almost doesn't shut because of me. And not all of them are in there! :rotfl2: I could go hog wild with all those mug choices! Mugs, bags, shoes. I'm set!

I think you'll just have to get a mug when you go back, huh? :goodvibes

I hope we see it in May.

I hope you do too! We saw it at MK, DTD (just a little one from a guy who I don't think really did it-but was trying/practicing maybe? it was in a dark area, he was kinda behind a corner of a building), and DHS.

too funny that your DH was prepared for you wanting to try on more tiaras!! Henry is too cute with his DUT DUT! I too like all the mickey kitchen supplies but why kid myself...I don;t cook! Though I am going to have to start once Caleb is able to eat table food. Poor kid!:rotfl:

I think Joe actually likes it when I act so silly. He's always gung-ho about it. Maybe so I don't force him to do something silly...

I know it-I love all the Mickey kitchen supplies too! I do cook, but not a whole lot. I can't ever justify buying them. THOUGH, now that I think about it, I hate our oven mitts. Hmmmm...

Hopefully Caleb has tastes that are easy to cook! Henry is a typical kid: mac & cheese, pizza and hot dogs (turkey dogs). Easy stuff! Tonight I make a nice dinner with pork chops. Wouldn't touch it. Sigh.

What a great DHS day. The Mickey Mouse Shape sorter...my DS had that when he was about Henry's age and absolutely loved it. He's a big boy now so he told me I could sell it at our next garage sale, because he knows all his shapes:sad2:

Ooooh, that is sad! That is going to be hard for me - it's exciting, but so so sad when they grow up like that. (gah, I can't even think about that, makes me tear up!  )

Maybe you can store it away for his future child(ren). :rolleyes1

:rotfl: I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets that hypnotization ;) I swear, they must pump something into the air down there. And I'm glad Henry kept everything in! :woohoo:

See and here I was thinking that they do need more frosting  But then again, I'd rather have the can of frosting than the cake!

And I'm so glad you got to meet up with a fellow Wildbunch member...how very cool!

They do! They HAVE to! I'm totally foggy sometimes down there, just all giddy and in la la land...except on the buses. ;)

I was SO glad Henry kept everything in! It felt so good not to worry about it anymore. I was still a bit concerned about the "other end" though, considering what happened the night before.

You are awesome!! I'm not a big fan of cake frosting (except the whipped stuff that tastes like cool whip), but that kinda frosting on donuts. *drool* I so eat the scraps that fell off, picking them off the plate after I am done with the pastry! Yum!

It was great meeting her! At one point my paths almost crossed with Kimmars too, but her DH decided he didn't want to go. :sad2: I still think we need to have a big 'ol Jambo get together!

He loved his Dut Dut, and still does! Sleeps with him every night. He also points at my mug (Year of a Million Dreams one) and always points out Dut Dut. It's so cute.

Thank you for the compliments on the pics-I wish you could see them at work! But, thanks for always looking. :goodvibes The mirror trick works really well for solo shots, or little groups. Sometimes you have to take a few to get it...and the attempts can be pretty funny. I think at KSC I had the camera all the way zoomed in, so one of them was just of my cheek or something. I can't wait to see your pics!!

Aren't Dismeets great! I met a bunch of Disers for dinner in August there were 40 of us in all including spouses and kids!:thumbsup2

40! HOLY SMOKES, THAT'S AWESOME!
Was it the Focker Meet? I think I see the Focker signal in your pic there... I've read a Focker TR or two, so I finally learned what it was (after 2 years on the DIS I think!) and the signal. I laughed SO HARD when I read about it!!!

Anyway, that had to be a GREAT TIME!! Wow. The meet going on in May is gonna probably be 20 or so, but 40. Wowsers. Just awesome!

The pictures of Henry with his Dut Dut are so adorable!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Glad you liked that comment! I was kinda hoping someone would say something about it... I love them treats. Drool.

I am looking forward to seeing Chelsea and Bo reunited after their long time apart! I bet he's missing her too...;)

I love the DHS buildings too-art deco is one of my favorite forms of architecture. Same with Joe. It's so fun and sleek. DHS has such a cool "old glamour" feel. And the palm trees there are amazing-I love how they line the main road and tower SO high!

What a honey! So cute!
It does suck when the kids are sick-just makes Momma worried and confused! Thankfully Henry never really had any big signs of sickness, other than the actual action, except on our KSC day. That made it a bit easier. Lots of diapers and wipes though! ;)

I bet your DD will love it! Henry was a bit freaked by some of the rides that were loud, but overall he did wonderfully. The play parks are amazing at WDW, it was fun just watching him explore them and laugh and suck up every second. My next update will have the HISTK playground-he was everywhere in that place, laughing and loving it!

I still think we need to have a big 'ol Jambo get together!

That's a fabulous idea!! It would be so fun to meet everyone in person. :goodvibes But aren't there quite a few of you at WDW in December at the same time?

We had a Mini Jambo Meet in September. RachelTori, DisneyBride03 and BensMom (along with a few more friends and family ;) ). It would be wonderful if we could find a time for more of us to be there! I think RachelTori and I will overlap in December by a day or so though! :yay:

Glad you liked that comment! I was kinda hoping someone would say something about it... I love them treats. Drool.

I am looking forward to seeing Chelsea and Bo reunited after their long time apart! I bet he's missing her too...;)

They look so delicious -- I am going to have to add Starring Rolls to my DHS list.

There will be pictures of the reunion, I promise...

Art Deco is my favorite architectural style as well -- in Charleston where I grew up there is a beautiful Art Deco movie theatre on King Street that sat empty and abandoned for years -- they finally restored it. :lovestruc

Brook!! Another great update! I love Henry and his Dut Dut!! What a great surprise for him to wake up to!!!

Don't you just love a great DIS meet!! I know I did!! DIS has been such a great venue to meet some amazing people!!!

DHS is such a great park! I'm glad you guys had a great time!!! Boy do those snacks look yummy I'm definitely putting them on my list of things to try at some point!!!!

It was alot of fun. We are trying to plan another one for 2010!:thumbsup2
