We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

After our lunch, and having a waffle fry stolen straight out of my hand...

We went into the Rocket Garden and instantly I could see that Joe was in his element. He silently wandered off with the camera, snapping pictures of the rockets. Here is just a very small sampling...

IMG_6720Small.jpg

IMG_6722Small.jpg

IMG_6724Small.jpg

Can you imagine sitting in there with someone else for 14 days?!

Henry and I walked around a bit and also read many of the signs explaining what the various pieces were. It was very interesting, but I probably was not quite into it as Joe was.

IMG_6727Small.jpg

Mecury Redstone, 83 feet tall, 70 inches in diameter. It's fuel was liquid oxygen and alcohol.

IMG_6739Small.jpg

I don't have a picture of the info sign for this rocket, so I know nothing about it, except that is Henry's empty stroller in the foreground...

After some exploring, Henry and I found a bridge that you could walk across - it was a bridge they used on the shuttles. I can't really remember how they used it though...sorry. Henry found GREAT entertainment in this bridge and we walked back and forth on it several times. He mainly enjoyed the steps up to it since he had been practicing his steps earlier that week. I asked Joe to take a pic because Henry was having such fun and he barely looked up, snapped this pic (where you can't even see Henry!) and went back to his rockets.

IMG_6740Small.jpg

IMG_6741Small.jpg

IMG_6743Small.jpg

This is the J-2 engine. It's propellant was liquid hydrogen fuel and liquid oxygen.

Eventually Joe was finished with the Rocket Garden and we found a play park nearby, Henry enjoyed the slide of course!

IMG_6744Small.jpg

Our one and only picture from the park

This was a pretty neat play park - it was covered, so it didn't get too hot and there were tubes and a ball pit. There were also tidbits about space on signs, and educational activities, to theme it appropriately.

After the play park we looked at the map and because we have a 1 year old who can't sit still for long periods of time, we couldn't do some of the activities. So we ventured to the other side of KSC and took a look at the replica of one of the Shuttle Explorer.

IMG_6746Small.jpg

IMG_6755Small.jpg

It was really impressive. And, you could go inside at certain points.

IMG_6752Small.jpg

This is the cargo bay. Joe and I had gotten "Space Camp" from Netflix just a few nights before we left for our trip, so he reminded me of the scene where they had to go in this area before and after they went outside the ship. It looked MASSIVE in the movie, but not so much here in real life...

IMG_6757Small.jpg

IMG_6761Small.jpg

The control panels, it was behind plexiglass, but still cool to see

IMG_6769Small.jpg

A closer look at the tiles under the shuttle

After the shuttle Joe shyly commented that he wanted to do the Shuttle Launch Experience.

IMG_6775Small.jpg

In no way or form I wanted to do this. I rode Mission Space once and HATED it. (Joe wasn't impressed with it, so I was surprised he wanted to try this!) I was more than happy to watch Henry and explore with him while Joe did the Shuttle Launch. Besides, this was his day. He was totally nerding it up and loving every bit. I was just happy to experience it with him!

Henry hadn't had a diaper change in a while, so I figured now was a good time. It was an ordeal to get into the bathroom with all the bags we had since Joe couldn't take any with him, and open the very heavy bathroom door and navigate the stroller over a little bump, but we made it!

After the change, we spotted a big marble ball with water running over it. I believe they have one that is similar at Epcot? This elated Henry, so we went over and he had a great time playing in the water.

IMG_6779Small.jpg

"Ba!" (ball)

IMG_6778Small.jpg

I love this pic!

IMG_6781Small.jpg

"Ooooh, I think I can make a mess if I play in this water..."

We were there no more than 5 minutes when I heard a little toot.

Then another one.

And another.

Then I smelled it.

:scared:

I scooped him right up and back into the bathroom we went!

It was close to another blow-out, but I caught it in time. Whew.

But, I started to be a bit concerned here. The throwing up just seemed to have switched ends, we were not giving Henry any milk products though, so what was causing these "episodes"?

Henry was still acting his normal self, so I tried not to worry and just kept going. We explored a bit more and then walked toward the Launch Experience building. It had been quite a while since Joe left us, so I was thinking maybe his phone died and he was wandering around looking for us. We browsed the gift shop for a while

IMG_6783Small.jpg

Not for sale. ;)

IMG_6785Small.jpg

IMG_6786Small.jpg

There were little kids all over KSC wearing these-it was adorable!

IMG_6787Small.jpg

IMG_6789Small.jpg

The prices were very reasonable, cheaper than Disney World! I think it was like $20 for the hat and t-shirt combo here.

After a bit of shopping, a stream of people came pouring into the gift shop, Joe being one of them.

He LOVED the Launch Experience. He said it was much, much better than Mission Space - VERY impressive.

We looked around the gift shop a bit more and purchased a magnet (our traditional purchase) and some space ice cream (for co-workers). While doing our shopping another launch experience was going on in the building above the gift shop and the ceiling tiles rattled! It sounded super intense!

After the Launch Experience we decided to take the bus tour. My Disney Freak co-worker has been to KSC twice and said the bus tour was really cool. We knew it was going to be several hours, and I recall saying "this might be interesting with Henry!" to Joe as we boarded the bus.... Thankfully, they told us right away there would be 2 stops and the part of the bus is actually quite short. Whew!

Along the route to our first stop, we saw the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB).

IMG_6791Small.jpg

It is exactly what the name implies, where they assemble the shuttles. You can see this building from miles and miles away (like the picture from when we were driving to KSC), it's just HUGE....and I guess it has to be to assemble shuttles in there!

Our first stop was a structure the overlooks the launch pads.

Before we could actually go and explore we realized Henry needed another immediate  diaper change.

IMG_6793Small.jpg

A non-themed Restrooms sign. (Joe wondered why I took this, and it was only to remember what we did! I swear! LOL)

IMG_6794Small.jpg

A shuttle piece of some sort...

We took the elevator to the top of the structure and enjoyed the view - it really was pretty amazing to be that close the launch pads. The shuttle was "in the garage" (covered), but you could still see where it was.

IMG_6798Small.jpg

This picture shows the road they take the shuttle down on the way to the launch pad. They drive less than 1 mph and the machine that is used to carry the shuttle gets something like 42 feet per gallon!

IMG_6803Small.jpg

IMG_6822Small.jpg

There were a bunch of other buildings that you could see, but the launch pad was the most interesting. There were also those big binoculars (that usually cost you money to use, but were free here!) that you could use to see it more closely.

IMG_6828Small.jpg

A happy little barefoot Henry. I cannot recall why he didn't have his shoes on?!

Back on the bus, we slowly passed the VAB again and got some information about it. Which....I don't fully recall.... I pretty much let Joe soak in all the nerd information while I entertained Henry.

IMG_6832Small.jpg

IMG_6841Small.jpg

IMG_6845Small.jpg

IMG_6852Small.jpg

That gray thing is the machine they use to transport the shuttle. I want to say it was called the Crawler or something along those lines.

IMG_6856Small.jpg

"Where is Mommy's mouth?"

IMG_6857Small.jpg

"Near" (we play a game "Near/Far" and Henry puts his face close to mine for "Near" then pulls away, or pushes me away for "Far", usually accompanied with cute looks like this one!)

I DO remember the bus suddenly stopping and the guide getting very excited and having us look out the window to see this:

IMG_6853Small.jpg

:scared1:
HOLY SMOKES! IT'S A GATOR! This Yankee girl was amazed. (and for the record, the Waffle Fry Vulture wasn't quite as huge as those birds...thank goodness!)

Our next stop was a large visitor center with an actual shuttle in it, the Saturn V, which for reasons I cannot remember, never went on its journey. First was a show that took place in a room that looked just like the Mission Control room - it was actual previous equipment that they used.

IMG_6860Small.jpg

The video showed a shuttle launch, and it was really impressive - the sound was booming and surrounding you, so it felt like you were right there at an actual launch. When it hit "zero" the entire building shook! During the show, because it was so loud Henry started to fuss, I took him to the side so Joe could enjoy it and let Henry wander around a little. When the building shook he did get scared a bit, but overall he did really well!

The theater emptied into the room with the Saturn V. Everyone was gasping at its sheer enormity. We took zillions of pictures, but none of them really do it justice.

IMG_6871Small.jpg

It was the entire length of the building!

IMG_6874Small.jpg

IMG_6937Small.jpg

Around the shuttle there are a few other rooms and exhibits to look at.

I insisted on these:
IMG_6887Small.jpg

IMG_6891Small.jpg

IMG_6894Small.jpg

IMG_6897Small.jpg

I'm almost positive this is called a Lunar Rover. It's the car they drove on the moon! Or at least a replica of it...

IMG_6901Small.jpg

This is a real piece of the moon. Or so they say. If we ever actually landed on the moon. ;) Kidding, kidding, don't want to start that debate. The moon piece was smooth, but I more suspect that was because of 498293839 people touching it a day!

IMG_6922Small.jpg

The awesomly retro Space Van! I don't have any idea what this was for, but it was cool looking!

IMG_6934Small.jpg

I found this to be funny

IMG_6935Small.jpg

Saturn V pieces. That wee little cone top is where the people would have been!

We did a bit more shopping - I told Joe to get "anything you want honey" and I went off to change another diaper (thankfully not a "necessary" one). I came back to a very quiet Joe. Our dialogue went something like this....

Me: "What did you buy?"

Joe: "Don't be mad."

Me: Laughing. "How much did it cost?" (thinking he bought a crazy $200 print or something)

Joe: "$20"

Me: Laughing again. "I'm not mad. $20 honey! What did you buy?"

He pulls out a Space Pen.

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I cracked up! Joe has wanted a Space Pen for YEARS. When we were getting married he selected one for each of his groomsmen and was insanely jealous of their gift. I know at the time money was much, much tighter, so $20 for a pen was not okay. Since then, I would think about his desire for a Space Pen now and again, but I never purchased it for him as a gift, and he never forked over the cash for one, thinking I would get upset on spending $20 on a pen. When, all this time, it wasn't the pen that I cared about, it was the $20. We used to barely scrape by pay check to pay check, so $20 was a LOT. Thankfully, times have changed and plus, we were on vacation; we are completely liberal with our money since we save for it. I was elated that he got the coveted Space Pen, and bonus, this one has a little shuttle on the side! (I don't think I would have been mad about a $200 print either, they were really cool!) (and another side note, a friend just told me the other day that she saw one of our groomsmen (a mutual friend) using his Space Pen!!)

After some more exploring, we boarded the bus and went back to the main complex.

Parts of KSC were now closed, but other parts were still open. I didn't realize this earlier in the day, but made a mental note that when we come back to do the shows/experiences first, then the bus tour, and then wander around at the open-air exhibits after the bus tour since there are no time constraints on them (other than closing time). It really didn't matter much this trip because Henry was too squirrelly to do the shows/experiences, but in the future...

Henry was exhausted at this point and crashed hard in the stroller. Joe and I wandered up the Astronaut Memorial, which has names of astronauts who have given their lives carved in marble. The American flag reflects on the marble, which is really beautiful.

IMG_6946Small.jpg

I don't know a ton about the NASA program or astronauts who have given their lives in the science of the program, but even just thinking about that memorial again brings tears to my eyes.

Wandering back toward the main complex...I insisted on this pic as well...Joe declined...

IMG_6958Small.jpg

They have themed Welcome mats here too!

Next we visited one the exhibition halls that had pictures from Hubble.

IMG_6965Small.jpg

This was very impressive. The facts listed, about these stars being light years away, and exploding hundreds of years ago really made my brain hurt! I just can't wrap reality around it. Which, makes it really cool to me.

Warning...more silly pictures...

IMG_6972Small.jpg

Joe took this pic and realized he forgot to turn the flash on...

IMG_6973Small.jpg

With the flash...me and the Carnia Nebula

But, I asked he turn the flash back off...

IMG_6978Small.jpg

"Oh, sorry hon, didn't realize you were taking a pic...:rolleyes1"

IMG_6985Small.jpg

IMG_6989Small.jpg

IMG_6992Small.jpg

Aren't those AMAZING?! Silliness aside, it really was a bit of a sobering time looking at these stars and beautiful pictures. My head just cannot compute it all.

We continued our exploring and came upon a building with several displays.

IMG_6999Small.jpg

Another mock-up Mission Control Room. Joe wasn't quite satisfied with this picture, so he took a second one:

IMG_7002Small.jpg

Hidden Mickey's appeared in this one!

IMG_7008Small.jpg

IMG_7009Small.jpg

I could not get over the fact that peole smushed themselves into that little capsule for a number of days.

The history of the shuttles - look how big they used to be (the far end) compared to what they are today (foreground). Amazing the change in technology!

Of course, another diaper change was also in need during this time...

IMG_7022Small.jpg

I didn't notice this at the time because he was acting totally normal, but Henry's cheeks are a bit rosy...:guilty:

IMG_7026Small.jpg

The first 7 astronauts

Eventually it was nearing 6:00 pm and it was time to head to the main building again and call it a day, KSC was officially closing.

IMG_7034Small.jpg

On our way out the door, I noticed a brochure about upgrading your pass from today to an AP. I inquired about this, knowing we scheduled our December trip around a launch (and the sadly canceled Mousefest). The decision was made that yes, it is cost beneficial to upgrade to the AP (only $12 more each!), BUT, the area that does the APs had just closed.

Erg.

We were told to travel 6 miles down the road to the Astronaut Hall of Fame where we could also upgrade, and they were open until 6:30. So, that's just what we did.

After being official AP holders and back in the car, we decided to find something to eat and Joe suggested we look up a Sonic on the GPS.

I thought this sounded like a FINE idea! :dance3:

I had never eaten at Sonic (we just got them in Minnesota) and have wanted to do so for a very long time! And bonus, the GPS was saying there was one just 10 miles away!!!

Next up: The most embarrassing, ridiculous and awful moment of the trip

I cannot believe the giant blank bird stole a fry out of your HAND! YUCK! It makes me want to barf and laugh hysterically all at the same time! :lmao: *insert barf smilie here*

KSC is very cool. If I wasn't 6 months pregnant and it wasn't 90 gazillion degrees and we weren't stupid enough to go on a launch day (read: crowds and traffic - lines and lines of cars and people waiting to go in and preggo me had to pee so bad I was in tears so people let me cut in front of them) I would have really enjoyed myself! ;)

Looking forward to the rest! :surfweb:

The barfing, yet laughing smilie would be a really interesting smilie! :rotfl: I know exactly what you mean though. Joe and I STILL talk about that moment with the mutant bird. And I shudder and laugh at the thought of it all. Ick!

We plan on going on a launch day in December. I'm a tad nervous about this adventure with a 2 year old....I cannot imagine being 6 months pregnant during all that! That is an experience to say the very least...! How was the launch from KSC?

Thanks so much for this enormous update, Brook! My DH is also a space nerd and has often talked about going to KSC... I think I will plan it as a surprise for him for either our October or December trip!

At the same time I am sorry that little Henry really seems to be sick. :( I hope his croup is doing better now!

First off, I must complement you in having the corn dog nuggets in your ticker. TOO CUTE!

Your day at Kennedy Space Center sounds like fun. You totally reminded me that I used to love the Space Camp movie when I was younger. I may have to go put that in my Netflix queue!

That bird incident would have pushed me over the edge. I hate bird claws... they are so creepy. I would have had a meltdown- partly b/c of the bird and partly b/c I adore waffle fries! :rotfl:

Glad Joe was able to fulfill his space pen quest! And how cute that your groomsman is still using his.

How cool will it be if you are able to see a shuttle launch in December! When is it scheduled? I probably wouldn't go too Kennedy but would certainly love to just see it in the sky -- from what I hear there are some good vantage points within WDW.

Next up: The most embarrassing, ridiculous and awful moment of the trip

Can't believe you left us hanging with that!!!!!

Hey Brook!

WOW..what an update! I so love the way you write, you had me cracky up this morning!!:lmao: We went to KSC in a roller skate, I mean car, when I was 5 mos. pregnant with my oldest and it was pretty cool, in a nerdy kind of way. I think my DH and your DH would be a match made in heaven, as Todd bought a space pen too when we were there!!!!! LOL!

Your descriptions of things at KSC would be just like mine where DH would totally be scientific about things and I would never read it cause it would bore me, yours however, kept me intrigued!! ;) Great pics, sorry to hear about Henry's episodes, again!!:scared1: I can not believe that that bird stole your fry....I can totally feel the birds claws in my hand from your description..gross!!!

Thought the pics of you being 'crazy' were hysterical, you know how to have fun, girl, good for you!!:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing...looking forward to the next installment, you spoiled us this time!!:goodvibes

ps-- Love the new ticker pic!!! Too funny!! LOL!

What a marvelous day! And you have more to look forward to in December. But what a cliffhanger....

I did myself a big injustice by not checking in here before I left the house this morning. I'll have to wait until I get home tonight to see all the great pictures.

Next time you eat waffle fries at KSC, could you take Dawn with you?

And a video camera, please. :rotfl:

We had a squirrel that pretty much did the same to us on a picnic once. He was nice about it at first, sitting on the empty table next to us. When we didn't take his hint and invite him over, he got a little more pushy. He jumped onto our table and into the middle of my plate!
Lesson learned. I put that plate of food on the empty table for him and made myself a new sandwich.

That's so cute about the space pen. I'm so glad he has that treasure.

I know that our guys would enjoy going over to the Space Center. We've talked about doing it before. John and Drew would especially like it.
Last time I was there was when Apollo 11 went up and man walked on the moon. I watched that flight go up.

OMG, how did I get 2 updates behind? I noticed your ticker picture on another thread and realized I hadn't stopped by in awhile. I only have time to catch up on the first one, sounds like your MK day wasn't the most magical possible but still a day in MK is better than any day at work!

I am really anxious to get back here later today to find out if your foot is OK, I can't believe the woman didn't even apologize! Did she think she was really going to get anywhere faster :confused3 When we were there last year, we were standing in a crowd of people waiting for something and about 8 people just started pushing their way past me. My patience with people at that point must have been pretty low because I probably was pretty rude when I informed them that we were all waiting for the same thing and their pushing wasn't going to get them there any faster

Great updates:thumbsup2
Im waiting on pins and needles to hear what happens next:scared1:

Your talking about the movie Space Camp brings back lots of memories for me!! My grandparents lived in Huntsville, Alabama and literally less than 1/2 mile from the Huntsville Space Center. I lived with them while attending college there and while I was there they were filming parts of the Space Camp movie at the Space Center. I would go down and hang out watching the filming of the movie. It was cool to see it afterwards and know that I was there and to be familiar with all the surroundings in the movie. I havent thought of that in a long time!! Thanks for bringing up great memories of that time...both of my grandparents passed away about 17 years ago and we havent been to Huntsville in a long time.

Thanks so much for this enormous update, Brook! My DH is also a space nerd and has often talked about going to KSC... I think I will plan it as a surprise for him for either our October or December trip!

Your welcome! It was fun to get all that up - I've been excited to share our KSC experience.

KSC truly is a GREAT addition to a trip! It's pretty quiet within the "park", and at first it didn't seem like there was a whole lot to do, but the more we looked, the more we saw-and we skipped all the IMAX movies and that sort of thing. To cover it all, 2 days would be needed, but you can do quite a bit in just 1. (2 days are convered in admission) I bet your DH will LOVE it! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it...I know I have a "times guide" type of paper around here somewhere that might be helpful if you want to get an understanding of what is offered...

Henry's croup is MUCH better. I don't think he coughed even once yesterday! :yay: Thank you for asking!

First off, I must complement you in having the corn dog nuggets in your ticker. TOO CUTE!

I'm a freak with that ticker, aren't I? :rotfl: Freak in a funny/silly way. Not in an actual freaky way...;) They are just SO GOOD, it is something I look forward to in December!!

I had totally forgotten about Space Camp the movie too until just before we were going to KSC and I happened to get it recommended to me on Netflix. That movie RULES. It was a great "prep" for KSC, got me all famialr with some terms and that sorta of thing. Plus, 80s movie=good!

The bird incident was...unreal! I adore waffle fries too, so I wasn't too happy about him stealing one! Thankfully the order was HUGE, but still... The bird claws were totally creepy. And the fact that I still have the "phantom claw" feeling on my hand when I think about it makes me shudder every single time. Ick.

I thought it was really cute that one of our groomsmen was still using his! I ran over and told Joe after I found out, and even he was pretty happy to hear that!

The launch is scheduled for December 12 currently. They often move the date around a bit as it gets closer though. Hopefully it does not get canceled. One place I have heard is the bridge right before the IG, connecting to France, within Epcot (you know what bridge I'm talking about right? I'm sure it has a name...but I'm clueless!).

About the cliffhanger....I'm mean sometimes... ;)

Hi there! Glad to provide the morning entertainment. :goodvibes That is SO FUNNY about your Todd buying a Space Pen at KSC! I def have to tell Joe that! I am certain they would get along!

It was interesting during our stay at KSC what Joe found interesting and what I did. I insisted on pictures of us with things, like the teeny tiny size of the place people actually lived in the shuttle-he just wanted to read the signs and was facinated on things like propellant.

I was in such a goofy mood that day, Joe and I were making jokes all day long. I think it was a subconcious stress relief because of the many, many diaper changes! I'm glad my hubby humored me with the crazy pictures!

What a marvelous day! And you have more to look forward to in December. But what a cliffhanger....

I know, I'm cruel...;)

I did myself a big injustice by not checking in here before I left the house this morning. I'll have to wait until I get home tonight to see all the great pictures.

Next time you eat waffle fries at KSC, could you take Dawn with you?

Last time I was there was when Apollo 11 went up and man walked on the moon. I watched that flight go up.

MeMom! You saw Apollo 11 go up?!?! HOW COOL IS THAT!? AMAZING!!! Wow oh wow. That is very, very, very amazing. Much of what we saw (the mission control rooms and stuff) were from that flight. SO COOL!

When I saw all those giant giant birds I immediatly thought of Dawn. Then when the whole incident occurred, I actually thought "Oh, I hope this never happens to Dawn!" :rotfl2: It's funny how we think of other DISers throughout our days, isn't it? And Dawn and I have never really talked, I just see her on all sorts of threads, and try to read her TRs.

(but you are right, it would be HILARIOUS on video! ;))

I can just see you putting out a sandwich for the squirrel. That is smart though! Might as well just give them it instead of them ruining yours!

Oh, it's alright, I'm ALWAYS behind on TRs - and usually 4 updates instead of just 2! :goodvibes

The day at MK was a tad frustrating, but you are right-ANYDAY at MK (or WDW period) is better than a day at work!

I have no idea why that woman was so pushy, unless she was having some sort of medical issue. But you'd think they would find a CM in that case! I was so close to commenting to her about not getting there any faster too! It's so frustrating when people act that way and are so pushy in huge crowds!

Just joinng in. Only read the first 3 pages.
I just had to comment...we have gone to Disney in 2007 and 2008 and on day 5 of both trips, my DD threw up. In 2007 we were heading back to the airport in our rented van and she just started throwing up. We think it's too much stimulation and not enough sleep. In 2008 we were at HS and all of a sudden she got sick. I took ehre back to the room where she slept alot and then seemed better, but cranky for the remainder of the trip. (I must add that duing that trip I caught her licking a pole on the bus, so not sure if it was too much stimulation or nasty pole germs. :confused3 :lmao: )
We are leaving in 4 days, and I am trying to keep the pace a little slower this year, and hopefully we can have a vomit free trip! But I have learned to keep little trash bags in my purse so if she does, I can keep ti contained. LOL!

You have corn dog nuggets on your ticker!!! :rotfl2:

KSC looks so super cool!!! The last time I was there was in 1987 -- wow, has it changed and grown! I am so going to have to figure out a way to fit it into a future trip -- the hard part will be tearing myself away from Disney long enough to make the journey. ;)

I bet the stimulation/crazy schedule does have something do with Henry getting sick because he's NEVER pukey at home....

Nasty pole germs...:rotfl: Oh, those days are coming quickly for me. Henry has already found the "tasty" metal on shopping carts. Why do kids insist on sucking on that bar?! :scared:

That is a REALLY good idea about keeping the bags handy.

Note to self: Diaper bag contents: An ENTIRE outfit, a spoon and bags for "unexpected incidents" (which covers a multitude of events!)

Brook what a fabulous update!!!! I so enjoy reading about your trip!! KSC looks like somewhere that Prince Phillip and I need to visit sometime we can both be nerds together!!!

Awww to poor Henry still not feeling so hot...I hope you have been able to figure out what was causing his episodes!!

Sonic...oh I have a Sonic right down the street and I usually will walk there to get a Strawberry Limeaid...oh do I love those!!

Once again I can't wait to hear more about your trip!!

You guys had a great day at KSC!! And now you have your annual passes! :thumbsup2 Love the space pen! I had one of those, not sure what ever happened to it but it was very cool! ;)
Ewwww for the black vultures grabbing your fries! Yuck! When we go to the beach in the summer there are kamakazi seagulls that will swoop over your shoulder and grab what it is that you are about to eat! Seriously they dive right over you and flap into your hair, grab and go.... they are very skillful little boogers! :rotfl: You had claws and we had webbed feet and feathers! :rotfl2: Oh my.... now we cover our food with our hands and eat under the umbrella!
I hope Henry will be ok... pink cheeks :confused3

Ewwww, I can't believe that bird stole the fry right out of your hand!

Sorry to hear about the

incidents with Henry - I hope the little guy wasn't getting sick!

KSC looks very interesting, I know my DH would love it. I thought about trying to squeeze it into our December trip, but I don't think that is going to happen - someday though!

I actually laughed out loud at the 'shadow' pictures of you acting silly!

I'm interested to hear what you thought about Sonic, seems like we have one on every corner (they started here) and we rarely go anymore for anything other than drinks. I love the cherry limeaid!
