We just got a Pug

We just picked up our 11 week old baby girl. her name is LolaTotally in love with her. It's funny, people either love her and think she is the cutest or have no idea why in the world we would choos e such a creature I would love to hear any pug stories or tips that anyone would like to share. Thank you...she did come from a responsible home. These pups are the mom's first and only litter. They have already had the dad neutered and the mom will be spayed when it is safe to do so.

Glad to hear that you gave this some thought! Now it is time to take photos and set up her own facebook page. My dog Cody Bear has more friends then I do on his page, yes, my dog has his own facebook page!!

That's funny because my daughters want to do that because their cousins daschsund has one and so do two other friends dogs!

Glad to know that I am not the only one!! actually we did it because Cody Bear is an ambassador for the Spanish street dog, and what amazing pets they can become, and we like to share photos, since we don't have kids. Feel free to check out his page!!

We have a 10 year old pug. They are sweet, stubborn, people-loving dogs! I had no idea they would shed so much.

They don't handle the heat well, so keep an eye on that. Congrats on the new member of your family. Still get comments about it being the Men in Black dog!

Awe! Welcome little Lola!
We had the most wonderful and most awful Pug named Seamus. He passed away last year and it left us totally heartbroken. Still miss him dearly!

With pugs watch out for eye problems and bladder problems (bladder stones). Of course breathing issues will be something to watch for too. We also did not know pugs shed so much, (except black pugs!) get your brush ready for everyday brushings! Also, I would say you need to really watch diet. Pugs can easily get overweight and it's hard to get that weight off!
