We just added on at HH....

There was a thread, not long ago, about MB at HH. I thought that they were sold out, but thought that I would call my guide and give it a shot. Well, here is my story....

I called my guide, Robin (who is wonderful and I highly recommend) and said that I heard that there were some points available at HH still and I was wondering if they had my use year, Feb? She said, no that Feb was sold out. I expressed how much we wanted HH and that we didn't want to buy anywhere else, unless there were some BWV available. She said, let me check with the sales mgr and I'll call you back. Well, she called back later in the evening and said that they had 2 contracts available for HH either 61pts or 74 pts, but that MB wouldn't be available because my use yr was technically sold out. I said oh, well we will have to think about it. We really didn't want to spend $84 a pts and really needed to think about it before acting. About a 1 - 1.5 weeks pass
and I finally convinced dh to lets go for it. We already own 150 at BWV and 100 at HH and I we really only wanted to buy another 50 at HH to make it so that we would have 300 a yr at BWV and 300 a yr at HH with banking. I finally get the ok to call Robin back and she says to me that she was about to call me. She had gone back to the sales mgr and said that the only way we were going to buy these pts were if we got the MB. Well, guess what????? We ended up buying the 74pt contract with the MB for $69 a pt. Granted we have to forfeit the pts this yr with MB, but that's ok because we already have the this yr's trip planned, so we really don't need the 74 until next yr.

So, I just wanted to share my story because it never hurts to try, you may get what you really want or better in our case

I am somewhat afraid to visit HH, as I know I'll want points there!

lucky you. We tried to add on there but were told we couln't use magical beginnings unless we bought a whole new contract (15) points) because there were no points left in our use year April. We are doing an add on at Vero beach instead. We had to have at least a few points at a beach resort.

Hey that's great for you, and I'm happy for you!!

My guide just called me a couple of weeks ago for an add on at HH.
I asked about MB, and he told me ONLY on a new contract of 150 points or more....
I told him the same thing....I didn't want to pay the full amount per point. I will wait for a re-sale.....But then thought this is just as easy so
I called him back, and told him OK, send the papers. I'm now considering not signing the papers!!!
It's not the money as much as it is the principle of it....NO, it's the MONEY also!!
I may do a post asking if anyone else has recently did a add on at HH, and what they paid?

My wife and I finally broke down on Friday, and used the MB to buy 60 more VB points!!

This is getting to be a very expensive habit..
