We have eaten all our hurricane snacks

What's "emergency chocolate"?

There's no possible way I could keep chocolate around long enough for it to become "emergency chocolate". I think it's a myth.

for some women EMERGENCY CHOCOLATE is the only thing that keeps others safe during that one week a month !!!!

Went went shopping 2 days ago to get 'supplies' for the hurricane but we have eaten all of the hurricane snacks already.

Note to self....wait until last minute to buy emergency chocolate!!

Got almost the same e-mail from my daughter in Tampa- Last I looked it was heading in that direction- but the cone thingie was over all of central Florida.

I should stay at your house. :) I forgot to get chocolate. My friend from Pittsburgh sent me a box of Nutri System items in case of a hurricane. That's no fun. I want chocolate!!!!! :)

You 2 are sooooo funny:rotfl:

OMG, a hurricane without wine & chocolate:faint:

Hurry, get some for the house and a stash for each other. Then hide each others. During the hurricane you could play hide and go seek.

The only chocolate safe around me is dark choclate. It would be a cat 6 dire emergency for me to eat dark chocolate :scared:ick...pppp...

What did you get for salty snack??

Our grocery store has a sale now - 3 canisters of Frito Lay products for $3 - we got 2 cans of Fritos and 1 can of Cheetos - those are all gone as well. I convinced Kevin they are mostly air anyway and that's how they 'get you'.

By my calculation I still have 12 hours before the first line of rains come through. Plenty of time to head back to the store.

How is the weather at the moment?

Perhaps Owner's Locker would come in handy under these circumstances -- you fill your locker with the chocolate shown below and make them promise to wait until the last minute to deliver!

LOL, My husband carries emergency chocolate, he says that he feel safer with it around. He throws chocolate at me certain times of the month and says if he ever runs out he might die an untimely death.......... C'mon we all know men exaggerate!

He thinks midol should be chocolate covered pills! :rotfl:

Last night for dinner we had ice cream. My kids loved it and I told them that if we lost power I would worry about it all meting, so we just ate it! Seriously, stay safe to everyone on vacation and the locals! We are ready down here in polk county. Ughh the price we pay to live in beautiful central FLA!

We just had heavy rains but it has stopped now.

I will have to stock up on snacks too. I didn't think of that.

That happened to us when Rita was coming. We were out driving around trying to find anything open. We finally found a gas station and ran in there and started grabbing junk. You would think we were never going to see a store open again.

My MIL always squirreled away giant Nestle bars. You just never knew when a hurricane was going to hit Queens, NY. ;)

Stay safe!!

I always keep about 12 Hershey bars in our pantry. It's part of our Storm prep. Believe me there are times when my 16 yr old DD REALLY needs to be fed Chocolate:rotfl2: Plus if we decided to have a campfire and smores they are always at the ready!!

John - Don't forget flashlights and batteries. Oil lamps are nice too!!

Be safe!!

who needs a campfire for smores? My idea of roughing it is black and white TV, so camping would be awful and they frown on campfires in residential areas.

Try making them in the microwave!!! I'm also a big fan of instantaneous gratification...:thumbsup2

John dont feel bad we just ate our emergency hurricane chocolate too, oh I forgot we live in Cleveland Ohio and we dont get hurricaines.

This is one of the funniest thread titles I've ever read. :lmao:

Not sure exactly what emergency requires chocolate, though. Or is it all of them? :confused3

This is so funny. Sounds like my house. LOL. Run to the stores and get enough for a month, thats what I would do. I could not be without my snacks.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
