What is wrong with this board? Trying to post a trip review of Poly and POFQ but it won't show up on the screen!
I am going to try this way... I really want to post my trip review.. so I hope this helps!!!
It was a WONDERFUL and MAGICAL trip!! I LOVE the Polynesian resort! And I love the French Quarters too!! Polynesian is truly a Paradise!!
And the French Quarter is just... Perfectly Pretty and Peaceful
... and you will see why when you see those pixs I will share with you!
Please check page 2 for POFQ review and pixs... I am going to add more pix of Poly and POFQ when time permits.
Polynesian... Paradise!
We checked in August 2 at the Poly and come to my surprise... I got Tokelau #3915!!! It has the best view of the castle!! And it is garden view!! I requested this room because someone here from the DIS said it has a great view and he is right! Sorry... I can't remember his name.
The customer service was great. They were friendly and they were smiling!
Most of the staff greeted us with "Aloha." The lady put the lei on me and said Aloha and handed me the children's leis.
The room wasn't ready so we went to Captain Cook's for lunch and then we rented a surrey bike. We enjoyed biking around the ground. After biking, we checked to see if our room was ready and it was.
So, we head to our room... and the first thing I did was...BAM!! "WOW... CINDERELLA CASTLE!!" ... I went to the balcony and that's what I saw! Cinderella Castle and the Space Mountain and the CR and the TTC boat!! And we can see the beach of course. We had the corner room. It was the best view of the castle from the garden view room!
After two days... well... the walk to our room got old... I mean it was a hike for me and the children. So hmmmm... should I ask to be moved near the GCH or just stay put and just deal with the long walk. Well... we decided to stick with this room and have the view of the Castle and see the fireworks every night from our room!!!
The children and I went down the slide... AAaaaahhhhh.... It was AWESOME!!! It was soooo COOOOL!! Let me say it again.... It was sooooo COOOOL!!! I love it I love it I love it!! We also did the quiet pool. We enjoyed that as well.
On our first night, we decided to watch the "Wishes" from the pool. It was just beautiful! I didn't see tons of folks on the beach. As a matter of fact, the pool wasn't even crowded. I guess most of the guests were out and about.
We ate dinner at Kona Cafe. The food here is excellent. When we came here in June, I had steak... excellent excellent. Then on this trip, I had scallops and shrimp... again excellent excellent. The service was just wonderful.
I didn't do Ohana this time. I already done it twice. Once was in June and the other was in July. If I went again this time, Lady Lipoa might think I work there!
We did the Spirit of Aloha! It was great!! It was AWESOME!! The food was excellent and the service was excellent and the hula dancers were great and I love the guys do their hula too!! The guys were AWESOME!! I especially like the guy who was twirling the sticks of fire!
Remember my thread about hammocks. Well... most of the time, the hammocks were empty. The kids and I were able to enjoy swinging on the hammocks. It was so relaxing and peaceful.
We had enough time to check out the Neverland Club. We went there at noon. The children had a nice time. My son mostly played at the arcade in the ship while my daughter did some arts and crafts. She made a couple of mask and an indian hat and a couple of fans. I also did some arts and crafts. It was fun.
I love sunsets... I once had a screen name addy and it was Islander Sunset. I love that name. Anyways... I was able to take a few pictures of the sunset. Just gorgeous... This made me even fall in love with Polynesian. This place is truly beautiful... it is exotic!
