We got our rings!!!

Here are our amazingly awesome wedding bands - picked them up yesterday!

Yup - we got them made....white gold with the Mickey laser engraved....we chose to leave the laser marks in so it would stand out more....I am in love with them - the pics do not do them justice!

Did you get them from Disney or a regular jewler? I was wondering about copyright.

A regular jeweler who checked out the copyright and saw no issues with it. Disney does not make rings....so it was really the only choice we had.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer or anything but Disney does make rings. They make both costume and fine jewelry rings with Mickey on them and they make semi-mount engagement and wedding rings. I honestly don't believe for one second that they are going to go after you or your jeweler for copyright infringement but if he were to continue to make them it might be a problem. We know the people that managed the Disney character licensing rights in the country that we live in and they would even go after companies that made cakes with unlicensed Disney characters on them. I was really surprised.

Weird - I know it's not something that he does commonly - but I'm not worried because he wasn't....I also had a friend research it for me to make sure it was legit and he also seemed absolutely certain it was not a copyright issue.

I can't see how it's any different than a Disney tattoo (which i have) or all of the Mickey stuff I have seen on the boards - programs, invites, pomanders, etc....

I'm just happy I was able to get the rings that I love. I did look for Disney bands - and although I would have been happy with the costume jewelry that Disney makes we could not find a band for a man besides the ones from Tokyo Disney...and even their men's bands didn't seem like what we wanted...so it was worth it to me to go this way.

Anyways - thanks for the comments and hopefully I haven't offended anyone by going this route...I really just wanted to share my excitement because IMHO if I am going to wear something forever I want it to be right for us - which these are!

They look amazing!!!!!!! We also are getting custom hidden mickey rings. We just approved the artwork and have to go look at the molds before they make them. Our wedding bands are going to be white gold as well.
