Friends of mine went mid January. They booked their airfare out of BOS at the beginning of Nov. Delta, non stop, round trip, $125 each........just saying!

Wow that was a great deal. We got 140 rt. But had a late flight out Friday night. And a 7:00 am one on Sunday...

Yes, they traveled Wed to Mon. Check in Nov for January flights if you want to use your AP!

Im going next Wed for 8 nights. $383 RT

I read your pre-trip report and you really had a lot of changes to deal with. We love the Beach Club and have stayed in a 2 br villa three times with adult children and grandchildren. It was great. We also had a trip with an unhappy daughter-in-law and it was very uncomfortable. It is more fun to have happy people.

We've done that 'right hotel name, wrong address' thing after coming in on the late flight too. It stinks in that moment but faded into the background once the real fun began.

While DS was unpacking and M who is 2 years old was resting I took C for a walk to Epcot.
we walked on finding Nemo and got my first ever annual pass magnet. (It’s the little things)


Got our Skyliner popcorn bucket. C was excited


took a few more pics..then back to hotel too get ready for dinner...

Saturday night....boy are we tired ..but we had dinner reservations at Garden Grill..DS and family have been, and I never had been...so basically they went for me.


Well I have to say ...boy was I disappointed... the whole purpose (at least for me) of going there was to be in the revolving restaurant
Well we get there and it is not working....
The food was decent...I knew going in ..it would be expensive...and I was fine with that. But I am still disappointed in the place. They should have told us about it being broken down before thy sat us. I am not sure where my pics are. I must having taken some. But can’t find them
After dinner we went to spaceship earth and finding Nemo.
It had been a long day. DS took kids back to room and DIL and I went to Abracadabra for a




overall a great first day.

no wonder we were exhausted

And basically.. nothing went as planned.
how does this happen. When you start planning 6 months out

My vacation motto is always "Plan to change your plans!", because life laughs at plans, and seemingly more so on vacations than at any other time!

Sorry the restaurant wasn't revolving. Think of this way----you can just leave it on your bucket list for one of those numerous other passholder trips you can take now!

Sunday 2/9
well one would think I might sleep in due to only less than 4 hours sleep the night before and it being vacation....but no...still up by 5:30
I heard DS leave right before that...he too is an early riser...he was going to dunkins for coffee then to Walmart for supplies...
by 6:00 I got up and went to the Marketplace for coffee...

I decided to go out for an early morning walk as I didn’t want C&M to wake up yet...it was a beautiful morning ...I walked over to the Boardwalk Bakery...so much to choose from...i ordered a coconut muffin...took a leisurely stroll back...and sat outside watching the sun come up...




when I went back yo the Market Place. I asked the girl at counter About the refillable mug...she said. Didn’t you just buy a coffee earlier..well yes I did. And never gave it a thought about the mug. She said I’ll apply the price to the mug and you can just pay the difference...
I think a little pixie dust for me. As I was willing to pay full price..
so I got this




DS drinks Dunkins. DIL only drinks Starbucks. so no sense making coffee in the room. Yeah

oh and my delicious muffin from the Boardwalk bakery...well they gave me a huge coconut macaroon instead. Ugh...not a good way to start the day...

I head back to the room around 7:30. DS still not back from his coffee/Walmart run..he finally shows up...he had a flat tire..could not get ahold of the rental company
he went to 3 gas stations. Got fix a flat and headed back..

so again...another late start. Chaos...

I decided to take the boat over to Hollywood Studios and meet them there...




i strolled around waiting...which could have been in my title too...it seems this trip all I did was wait....
they finally arrive and we head to Disney Junior Dance Party which the littlest love..

after that we went to Voyage of the little Mermaid...then to toy story mania..
and before you know it. It’s lunch time and we had a ADR for T Rex...C loves dinosaurs...
so off we go


That smile was worth it...and the drink didn’t hurt.....

After lunch at T Rex DS and family went back to hotel so the littles could rest...I stayed at DTD (yes ..I still call it that..Disney springs just doesn’t sound right )...it was so nice to explore at a slow pace and to go into grown up stores...
so my first stop


then onto



then headed to bus to get back to the Beach Club....we were very lucky this trip...there was never really to long of waits for the buses...


We got ready and headed over to Epcot...so nice to be able to walk over there.


we have dinner reservations at Coral Reef...my DS likes it there and the fish would keep the littles entertained..

but first...


C loves this...we must have done this 5 times...throughout the trip.

then onto


the construction does not make it easy to walk around..
we checked in on time. Had to wait about 15-20 minutes..which was surprising..since when we went in. It wasn’t full...we had the nicest waiter...but again...something no quite right...after the disappointment of Garden Grill...we get the menu..which DS only eats steak. (Yes I know) why are you there if he doesn’t eat fish...well he really likes the sirloin there...but not on menu...so he asked if he could get a sirloin (it’s on the kids menu) which he did in the past...the waiter was so nice...he said a lot of people are not liking that it is only rib eye..and that you usually can substitute the sirloin..but he came back and apologized and said he would have to get multiple children’s sirloin dinners. They are 3oz. At best...he felt bad. And as we hadn’t even ordered ..we decided to leave..which the waiter was great about...DS would never eat the rib eye. He hates that fat. Which dies give it flavor..we gave the waiter a tip for his trouble..
dinner fail x 2...is this a theme.

so now what....after making this reservation so many months out..ugh...we were all cranky at this point..we ended up walking over to trattoria al Forno..we were in luck. they took us as walk ins...
we Enjoyed are dinners. We all got chicken parmigiana..no complaints....honestly we are pretty low ma people..so to have 2 not so great moments for us was rare...

after dinner we walked Back to the BC and called it a night...



another long but fun day...tomorrow or as C says 1 more sleep till K&R come to Disney...
C&M have no idea of the surprise I have for them tomorrow

Do you remember if the Disney Springs bus stopped at only the BC and YC, or did it stop at all five Epcot resorts?

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience at Coral Reef. It seems odd that they have a sirloin steak on the kids menu but not on the adult menu.

i looked at my notes. i got right on the bus ..but I wrote it took 35 minutes to get to BC. I can’t quite rem..but u think it was just BW and S&D

Monday 2/10...I am so excited for today.
1. the my 2 GD’s K and R arrive today...we cant wait...it’s not the same without all 4 kids together..but as I said. Chaos with all 4..

2. I got a reservation for me, DIL and C and M for The Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno with Rapunzel, Flynn Rider and friends...

3. An extra special ADR for tonight....
