We braved the 4th!!! AND the rain...and the crowds??? 7/1-7/8 BOOKED NEXT TRIP!!!!

It's not fun at all!

I had no opinion or expectation of Inception going into it. I thought it was interesting and kept me entertained. It was toooo long and, although I got the majority of it, I found it a little confusing at time to the point where I knew I didn't even have to try to figure it out because it didn't really matter. I'll probably watch it again if I catch it on HBO to maybe try to figure it out a little more.

Plus, I still can't see Leo in a role other than Titanic! I just want him to always be Jack!! And it confuses my when he's not!

It did get a bit confusing at times as it went quite deep with the psychological and scientific bits, but I still thought it was awesome. Leo is a fantastic actor and was really good in this role.

Ugh! Sorry about the popcorn! That is annoying. I've had them stuck before, but only for a day or two. I hope it goes away soon!

hey nikii we felt we got lucky too we were in magnolia bend I wanted to be in the mansions near the quiet pool we got our wish it was close walking to main pool and to the quiet pool and just a short walk past the main pool to the main building we loved it.

we went to the pool every day and unlike you I was so hot every day it did rain alot but we did not let that bother us we had the perfect vacation. did you go to the bar and see bob jackson the piano guy we went on thruday nite july 7th and had the best time.

Oooooh, the mansions are really nice. We used to stay in the mansions all the time when I went with my parents/sister growing up. Sounds like you were on the complete opposite side of the resort!

You were HOT? You are lucky the temp wasn't what it usually is that time of year.......

Didn't make it to see Yeeha Bob. Sounds like fun though.

Hi Nikki! Have been lurking on your trip report- even subscribed! New to boards and hearing about your vacation has been great for prepping me for my trip, lol...
It's awesome that you and hubby get to enjoy all these things before kids- always wanted to go before kids, just never happened- now here they are! princess:princess:

Loved AK posts- we loved the park when we went with the kids last year. Sorry it rained most of trip, that's a bummer! Just wanted to say hi and look forward to reading the rest of your report!

Welcome! So glad you joined my thread!

I reeeeally like that guy from 3rd Rock from the Sun, Arthur. He had the BEST action scenes with the zero-gravity AND he had the BEST line in the whole movie!

Arthur: Quick, give me a kiss!
[She kisses him and then looks around]
Ariadne: They're still looking at us.
Arthur: Yeah, it's worth a shot.

It is soooooo annoying! Been there 4 days now......

I have a silly suggestion...but how about drinking something thick like a milkshake. Maybe it can drag it out?

OMG I love Joseph Gordon Levitt :lovestruc not only is he hot, but like you say he has the best lines and scenes in the movie. I loved the zero gravity fight scene, was friggin awesome!!! I also thought his character had great chemistry with Tom Hardy's character (the English one), like when he is shooting the bad guys near the high voltage thingy and then Tom's character comes out with grenade launcher

I'm subscribing on - just finished catching up - I hope you have a rain-free rest of your vacation.

Thanks

Oh great! Glad to help!

All caught up!

WOW, WS was a ghost town on July 4th. Whoulda thunk? :rotfl2: New Years Day this year was like that, too....it was so nice to be able to walk around leisurely and take my time. And I might have grabbed an alcoholic beverage (or two) as I was strolling around that morning. Don't judge me. :rotfl:

Your Wishes party looks like fun!

Oh, rain rain go away!!!

You guys don't know me AT ALL if you didn't think there were going to be loads of World Showcase drinkies once the sun comes out!! :lmao: The last two days of the trip were pretty much dedicated to it..... ;)

Sorry I've been slow with the updates...had a lot of schoolwork to catch up on, had lunch with some friends from work, spent the night at my sister's yesterday and hung out with her and my AWESOME niece today. Tomorrow I've got to go to the Dr. to get my throat problems figured out but I hope to update soon! :thumbsup2

Day 6 - AK morning
July 6, 2010

Rain, rain, RAIN!! Sick of it! But we've come to accept the fact that it's just going to rain and we have to make the best of it.

This morning we had an early ADR for Tusker House so there was NO sleeping in today!!

We got there around 10 to 8 and were sent through the turnstiles all the way to the right...there was a sign notifying people that this was the place to go!

It was pretty empty...

And we got some good photopass pics.

It was an eerie walk to Tusker House because there was really no one around. We were sent, got our picture taken with Donald and were seated, and given our juice, right away.

ry%3D480

I was surprised that I actually liked the juice. It looks like it's goign to be really tangy but it wasn't at all. Very good!

Some pics from the buffet...

Then the characters started coming around!!

Then this lady came around with about 8 prints, in all different sizes, of the picture we took with Donald...and they could be ours for the low, low price of $30! What do I need 8 of the same picture for? Honestly, if I could just buy one 4x6 for $10, I probably would have but I thought it was SUCH a rip off!! I asked her what she was going to do with them if I didn't buy them and she said, throw them away! What a waste! Seriously, you already have it printed, just GIVE me a 4x6!! And the worst part is that Donald does not walk around for pictures at your table, so unless you buy the package, you don't even get a picture with Donald at Donald's Safari breakfast....

After breakfast, we headed straight to the Safari...as per the plan!! It wasn't empty, but there really wasn't any wait at all. I think it was only around opening time at this point.

We had a great safari guide and I was glad to do this first thing because a lot of animals were out.

Here are some pics and vid from the ride...

What's that you see?? Blue sky??!?!

Am I remembering incorrectly or did there used to be a rickety bridge that almost collapsed on the safari? Am I making that up? I could've sworn but every bridge that we crossed was safe and secure!!

After the safari, we headed towards Everest and we met these guys on the way!!

ry%3D480

Oh do you like my shirt??!?! This is the second one that I had made. Isn't it awesome?!

Up Next: The rest of the morning in AK....

You are right, there used to be a bridge that almost fell. I guess they removed it at we also didn't have that.

Donald used to walk around. We refused to do the picture as we knew we wouldn't be buying it :) But we took pics with the others. Your pics are cute!

Great update! Good to see the blue sky!!! We were at Tusker House last September and Donald walked around then. We ended up buying the picture package because it was a REALLY good picture of all of us... but it was just the family, Donald wasn't in it then.
