Ouch, sorry the kernel is still there, isn't there anything you can take to make it dissolve?

Well, I'm so fed up, I've been drinking a lot of liquor today....maybe that'll do the trick. :drinking1 :upsidedow

Lol, well fizzy stuff might do the trick and what about acidic stuff too?

I made sangria.....I'm sure it won't get the kernel out but it will help me not feel it!!

I'm so sick of this!

That's obnoxious, having that popcorn kernel stuck...and the doctor's can't even find it! I'd be going crazy right now if I were you! Hopefully drinking a lot will work...or maybe try something warm, coffee or hot chocolate or something? Or honey! Maybe since honey is so thick, if you take a spoonful of it, it will get stuck to the honey! :)

Thanks! I feel like I've tried everything! Bread, peanut butter...I've probably had 12 cups of coffee since it got stuck. Today is the one week mark. I feel like I've been eating nonstop because I feel like if I eat, it will dislodge, even though at this point, I know it won't. But I actually don't feel it at all when I'm eating. It's only when I'm just drinking water or doing nothing that I feel it most.

It's definitely making me crazy.

Sorry to be gross but if you can force yourself to throw-up it may come up since it isn't going down, friend of mind did it she put the old figer down the throat and it worked for her. lol

 I hope it comes out soon!

Thanks!

When I tell you that the ear, nose, throat doctor stuck his finger down my throat, I mean practically up to his wrist!! If that didn't make me throw up, nothing will! When I was in college, I was pretty good at doing that when I had waaay to much to drink and didn't want to go to bed feeling sick!! Even though I had some sangria today, I haven't been drunk enough to do that in years! :lmao:

it is the weekend, no time like the present lol...Great trip report by the way !

Love the update!

But so NOT lovin' that you're still dealing with the throat issue. I can tell you as a singer, that if ANYTHING is up with my throat, I am totally freaking.

I would think that maybe any kind of serious anti-inflammatory might bring down the swelling enough to dislodge it. I'll be hoping that the steroids work for you. If not, try some major dosage of ibuprofen. My mom's a nurse and says you can have up to 1000 mg without worrying about overdose. Just a thought. Otherwise, it might make your throat feel better to have some Throat-Coat Tea. You can get it at health food stores. A lot of singers use it. It might make your throat slippery enough to dislodge it? Who knows. :confused3

I'll also throw in my comments on the shaky bridge. We've been on that safari SO MANY times. I know exactly which bridge is supposed to shake. And on this year's trip, it didn't! This was the first time! It's always shook for us, so maybe it really depends on the day?

And I love the iPad idea that one of the PP's had! How much paper are they wasting on those prints that are never bought?!?!?! I always thought Disney was good when it came to the environment - this makes me think otherwise.

Looking forward to the next update!

Bummer about Donald not circulating around to the tables any more. That's a shame. Next time have the cast member snap a photo with your camera.

I made the mistake of waiving the princess picture before our breakfast at Ankersus (or whatever the place is in Norway) to avoid temptation. Little did I know it was INCLUDED with that character meal! Guess it pays to ask ahead of time.

The Safari pictures were great! :thumbsup2

Ugh! So sorry to hear about the kernel! It seems strange that you have some inflammation yet "nothing" is in there :sad2: Hey Doctors, why would it be inflamed unless something was irritating it???? :confused3 I sure hope the steroids take down the inflammation and helps with the kernel!

Thanks for your suggestions and comments. The iPad idea is genius, isn't it!?

Aw that stinks! Yes, I'll definitely see if the CM can take with my camera too.

I know! I guess they are thinking that it left already but I KNOW it's there!! See below....

The kernel is STILL there but it feels different today. Maybe because the steroids are eliminating all the inflammation so I can just feel the kernel shell more...

So as I was going to bed last night, I could really feel it and I thought it meant it was dislodging. So I got up out of bed and had a 100 calorie pack to see if that would help it go down but it did not. Still feels like that today so I'm hoping since the inflammation is going down, and I just took my second dose of steroids, it will eventually dislodge TODAY!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

Hey Nikki just checking in to see how things are going? How is your throat today?

Thanks for asking!! I just posted about it but it must have gotten lost on the previous page!

Nice update! We haven't done the Donald Breakfast yet. But I agree completely! I hate how they print out the picture and then you feel horrible that they just throw it away! How wasteful! I really love how CRT and Akershus include the picture with your meal. I think they all should!

I hope the steroids do help to dislodge that kernel finally for you! It must be driving you crazy!!!

Let's hope the steriods decrease the inflamation enough that the kernel will dislodge! What a bummer that none of the doctors can actually see the little bugger.... Keep us posted

That's great that it sounds like its dislodging :) Sounds like the steriods are working :)
