We are booked to go to the Boardwalk Villas on May 11th. In the past we have always gone to disney in May. My wife is pregnant and she is due in August so we are thinking about changing the dates to April. Can anyone give me any reasons why we might not enjoy around april 20th as much as we love going in May.

a few come to mind......

1 - Usually snows once or twice in April at WDW

2 - May has less letters in its name than April

3 - My birthday is in May. How can you celebrate my birthday in April?

Seriously......the weather is about the same, crowds should be the same also (as Easter is early this year), park hours should be very similar too.

Enjoy the APRIL vacation and good luck with the new baby!

Spring break start the end of February and goes to the first week in April (sometimes the second - depending upon Easter)

Keep in mind...at least in the Northeast we have Spring Vacation the end of April (MA is one week & NH is the next). Just something to think about!

The con would be that there might be slightly larger crowds, although nothing unmangeable. The plus would be that it would probably be slightly cooler...warm but less likely to hit the occasional 90+ degree day...more in the mid-to high 80's. Another plus, I haven't checked the schedule but there may be additional showings of fireworks and extended hours.

A factor that really shouldn't be too much of a problem, except that MK will closer earlier those nights, is Grad Nite. These are April 19, 20, 26, 27 and May 3.
