Thanks! everyone!!! Ashton was still running a high fever up till 6 this morning, I gave him another dose of OTC meds and went back to bed. I had set my clock for 7:30 to get up and call the doctor. Turned it off and went back to sleep...I don't even remember doing it. I NEVER DO THAT!! guess being up all night two days in a row wore me down...

Well, he was not able to see the doctor I wanted; they offered my an appt for 3 pm with a doctor I do not care for.

I had fed Chloe breakfast this morning (she still has a drip and runny nose), he would not eat. BUT, he has had three cups of juice this morning. His nose has started running and he clears his throat and sneezes a good bit; but, the high fever seems to be gone; it was 99.5 at 11:00. We went run to the bank and he asked for Wendy's fries......he ate the entire order and 1/2 of another one. So, I think we are past the fever portion of this virus--so, I know you all know what I did...yes, I cancelled the doctor appt.

I really feel he has the same virus Chloe had/has...I plan to continue to watch him and if things get bad I'll be sure to take him in tomorrow...but, I think we are past the worst of it.

He still goes from being happy to cranky; but, you can clearly see he does not feel well. Now, to top it off I have a scratchy throat, runny nose, and HEADACHE... I hope this passses quickly...Danny's company holiday dinner is Friday night.

Thank you for the prayers and well wishes...it means a great deal to us...
love each of you:lovestruc

See what happens when I don't keep up? I didn't know Ashton was sick! I know it is very scary when they run high fevers. Mitchell's got up to 105.7 one year and scared me half to death. He didn't want to drink either and became dehydrated very quickly. Make him drink, even if he doesn't want to. Very important.

Please let us know how he is today...:hug::hug:

Wow! 105.7!!!:scared1: I pride myself in thinking I can handle just about anything without panicking...that would really freak me out!!

I feel just like Mel. I haven't been on the boards since Friday and I didn't know that Ashton was sick. When you get a minute, please let us know how he is doing. Tell Ashton that Mrs. Lisa got him and Chloe a little surprise this weekend. I plan on mailing it out this weekend.

:santa: Now, Lisa you did not need to do anything of the such!!!! but, I don't have to tell you that:rolleyes:
Thank you! for thinking of them very sweet of them!
you and Ginny are spoiling my babies;)

Connie, so glad to hear the news that his temp is at least liveable. That is so scarry cause high temps go into so much other stuff that is so hard on them. Glad he liked his fries. I say anything that sounds good to you when you are sick you need to eat it. I'm sure you all are just ending up with what Chloe had but it still stinks.

You must get well for your Christmas party Friday.

Keep us posted please.

Ginny

Wow! 105.7!!!:scared1: I pride myself in thinking I can handle just about anything without panicking...that would really freak me out!! Mitchell is one of those children whose fever gets REALLY high, really fast. He gets lathargic which is so scary! And he vomits horribly when his fever gets too high.

That day that we had been switching between Motrin and Ibruprofin and it was 104.5 when we left the house. By the time we had got to the dr. it was 105.7! The nurse looked at me like I had done something wrong. She had no idea what I had been through all day with that baby.

Hope his fever doesn't spike up again tonight. That is always the worst for sure. Prayers continuing for the both of you

Seems to be better in the fever department...but, you know how fever works with kids as long as they are on the go it stays away and spikes in the middle of the night. But, he has taken in a great deal of fluids today and has eaten his fries and half his cheese, bacon, & sour cream baked potato (he and Chloe split one). I'm cooking chicken and rice for dinner so hopefully he will want to eat some. He is very stuffy...he keeps asking for medicine (don't know if he just likes it or feels bad so I had to take it off the counter). Gwendolyn downed a bottle of orange triminaic when she was four and half  Boy, did the doctor at the hospital give me a time! I had had a virus and was in the restroom and came back to find her sitting on the kitchen counter (the bottle was on top of the fridge she used a cooking spoon to knock it down--think she really wanted it).

Thanks! again for all the prayers and warm wishes...he is watching the Land Before Time at the moment ...I think I'm going to work on my Christmas cards while I can.

I would love to add my dis friends to my Christmas card list...

Thanks!! and for those who cannot remember you are on my list always in my heart (Mel! :cutie: )

Sheri had opened a bottle (before child proof lids) of Lomatil (it is an anti-diarreha med, prescription when she was 32. I had to take her and get her stomach pumped. Sandi was just 4 and had a broken leg. Don was at work so I'm dragging us to the er at midnight. Don't think I didn't get the 3rd degree.

Temps do spike at night for sure. And if he is feeling stuffy he is going to ask for all kinds of meds hoping something would help. Austin is still the same way. He hates being stuffed up. He is the one will put Vicks up his nose, on his temple and the bottoms of his feet with socks.

We will hope you are both better by tomorrow

Aw, thanks, Connie! :goodvibes You, too!

Hope the little one continues to do better. It certainly sounds like he's on the rd. to recovery since he's started eating and drinking again. I hope you have a RESTFUL night.

Good morning Connie. I hope you and my little Prince got some sleep last night. And pray he woke up feeling much better. You too. You don't have time to be ill. It's a mom's lot in life dontcha know?

Very cold here. The snow is to be north of us. We will keep our fingers crossed. Hope it stays clear thru Sunday so we won't have driving worries on our Kansas City trip.

Let us know when you have time how everyone is. Send the hugs and kisses by osmosis today. I don't want you getting sicker.

Ginny

Good morning, Connie. I hope your little one is feeling better today.

It's snowing here -- they are predicting 3 - 6 inches through tomorrow night (they are supposed to get 11.3 inches in Dubuque where youngests on is).

I hope all is well with your and yours. I scanned quickly and saw you had a very sick little boy. How is he doing?

Hello! everyone
Mel, Ginny, Kathy, and Stephanie

We had a pretty quite day! Chloe spent the night at her dad's last night and seem to be feeling bad again today. We were suppose to go to the library but it was raining and storming all day. With all three of us w/head congestion I thought it best we stay home...we ALL (Yes, even Ashton) took a two hour nap this afternoon. He seem to be the only one to feel better when we woke up. So, I think the worst for him is over, hope mine is over quickly or at least by Friday.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful thoughts!!! and concern
:santa: :wave2: Connie

Glad one of you is feeling better; now let's get you other two better.

So glad Ashton is feeling better. A 2 hour nap must be a record for the no nap boy. I hope you and Chloe feel better real quick.

I am so glad our little man is feeling better :goodvibes. I was really concerned about his fever(and concerned about his Mom's fear level). I know our God is an Awesome God .
