yey so a return visit is happening

as yet no date has been set but it wont be 2014
we are both in agreement that we will do a longer trip this time as 22 nights wasnt enough and the flights are such a huge portion of the budget

we would like to do a smaller scale road trip and visit some new places, but also a few places we briefly stayed in on this years trip that we cant wait to get back to

the newport beach side resort in miami was lovely and we were only here 1 night , we didnt see any of the miami sights we wanted to as the tiki bar rum punches were deadly !! so we would like to try stay here for at least 3 nights

i have picked some cruise brochures up today for inspiration as we are thinking of a cruise then out of miami for 3-4 days

the disney bit is hard !!
we only had 7 nights onsite this trip and found the free dining good value for us so we are planning 10- 14 days onsite this time ( if the free dining offer continues)
we would happily return to port orleans as we loved the resort and would have liked to have spent more time doing the resort based activitys

but the dh loved the poly so we will be looking in to costs here and if it has 5 person rooms , if we dont stay in the poly we will eat at ohana in the evening a few times coz i still havent stopped thinking about that bread pudding and we have been home 6 week !!

more disney water park days

and we also want to do universal this time as we missed that park completely

so lots to do am very excited not much i can do now apart from wait and save

we have a lovely new money saving tin decorated with holiday brochure pictures again and the saving chart is back on the fridge , looks such a long way back to the target :hourglass

WOW longer than 22 nights I am soooooo jealous the longest we've ever been is 14 nights. I can only live in hope :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Have fun planning it sounds as if you're going to be cramming a lot of wonderful stuff into what will become an amazing holiday :goodvibes

Longer holidays are great but the spending money adds up, this summer we came back to a £3,000 visa bill:rotfl2:

Next year we are doing 16 nights in July then 22 nights in Sept, neither will be enough:goodvibes

Planning is never a bad thing round these parts ;)

I agree with the others - it's never long enough! Not sure my employer would be too impressed if I was gone from the office for a month though :rotfl2:

The cruise sounds good. That's something we would love to do in the future ::yes::

yes we will need more spending money!! but for the 5 of us flights are so expensive it just seems to make sense to find another £1000 spending money and add a extra week on to the holiday

our off site week when we were in the extended stay worked out really cheap we were always spending under our £100 a day budget.

it was the road trip when the budget fell to pieces as
1. we hadnt booked any hotels in advance
2. we didnt have theme park tickets etc so ended up paying for activitys speed boats mini golf etc
3. and we discovered we all love fishing so spent about $300 dollars on frozen squid heads :rotfl:
4. dh saw the nike outlet ! 6 pairs of trainers he bought ( we checked only 2 bags in on the outbound and came home with 5 checked bags plus car seats checked in and 3 pieces hand luggage

i will try plan in advance the road trip hotels and pre book excursions to hopefully keep these costs down

we did think in theory that less frequent long trips will work out more cost effective than smaller regular trips ???

oh and i have a new job in school now so this will have to be in school holidays

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Oh don't even talk about 'seeing' outlets and excess baggage :rolleyes2

Congratulations on your new job though!! :goodvibes

luckily we didnt have to ay for any of the excess bags as we had taken so few on the way out the 3 kids each had a baggage allowance !! phew

we will definatly pack holdhalls in the cases though next time to bring home all the goodies

we also had 7 resort mugs
2 glasses from t rex
3 t rex cocktail shakers
a hooters ****ies glass
flashing tink, buzz ..... and sooo many more

a whole suitcase of cups!! thats not something anybody can plan for , i would like to think next time i can resist the need to bring them all home but , its just not going to happen
