We also, totally disconnect from our phones/computers/tablets while on board and just enjoy being a family. The phones get put into the safe after we call our families to let them know we are safely on board and they don't come out until we charge them up the night before we get off.

It really is the way to cruise and one of the best excuses to unplug. We'd have a lot more happy people in the world if they took cruises and unplugged while on them. No lie, it's improved my mood so much. We're all still busy and connected 24/7 so taking that time to unplug really is life changing (IMHO).

Absolutely. It feels so much better to be in a bubble for a few days. I am more relaxed, the kids are more relaxed and best of all my husband is totally relaxed.
Although, sometimes he is still having work dreams for the first two nights, but by the end of the cruise he is just having dreams about mickey bars and cognac tastings. lol
