We are moving to California!!!

From what I understand, it's a nice area. You can check websites like www.realtor.com and www.remax.com

I searched realtor.com for Anaheim Hills in your price range and some of the houses look pretty good.

Thanks so much I didnt even think about looking on those websites!! Well I have found a couple of homes I think we and going to search orange county and anaheim hills

Good luck. Definitely get premium APs when you move. That was the best money spent ever! We went at least once a week. It was great.

i really wanna move there, just gonna cost so much for me..

plus visas and all that..

also finding a place online is insane there is no good sites to use for renting.

I know!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I can't wait:yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Hi there-- I live in the Orange Hills--right next to the Anaheim Hills. I love my neighborhood--and there are homes in your price range. It avoids the "Inland Empire" traffic because we are right off a toll road that has relatively little traffic any time of the day. AND you are only 15 minutes from Disneyland!

I have a wonderful realtor who works here in Orange County. I'd be happy to give you his name and number. He sold me my house 9 years ago. He's very patient and knows the area well.

Let me know if you would like his name.

Where will your job(s) be? I've lived in OC since 1981 and can help direct you to the best areas for you and your family.

Because of the traffic out here, I'd be looking in the area of where work is located.

Very good advice! :thumbsup2

If you stick with Anaheim Hills you won't get the kind of house most people think of when they hear your price range; in fact you'll probably be looking at houses that fall below the median for the area, but you should be able to find something.

I believe most of Anaheim Hills is part of Orange Unified School District, so as long as you do a little checking before you buy, you could go with public schools if you wanted.

Good Luck with the move!

The reason I would never want to live down there as opposed to N.CA is I would be completely LOST. :confused3 You have to take at least 5 different freeways just to get anywhere. :rotfl: I get so confused. But then I get mixed up just walking in the mall... :lmao:

Yes I would love his name and number! Thanks so much!! My DH is a college professor/psychologist, so he is looking for a college/university near by. I am a stay at home mom, and will continue to do just that!! :cool2:

Congratulations on your decision to move to So. CA.!:thumbsup2

DS and I just moved back to So. Ca. from McKinney, TX. where we lived for two years but we are native Californians and missed our home state and Disneyland too much so we had to move back. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed living in Texas. It was really beautiful where we lived and I will miss it but this is home for us. :)

My 2¢...

With your budget, you should be looking in South Orange County period. Good public schools and at a major bargain right now with the current housing market. You'll be close to the beach and DL :)

Use ziprealty.com to search the MLS and to get automated alerts on availabilities in the specific areas you're looking.

You will be taking a major step down as far as square footage as compared to price per sq. ft. in Texas. Be prepared for that, as three quarter million will barely get you a nice 3-4 bedroom home here.

Good luck though and you will enjoy it here!

Ohh... If your DH gets a job at USC you could buy a house near the campus real cheap :scared:
