Hello everyone!
I am at work today
. We just drove in yesterday! We arrived on Sept 18 and had beautiful weather. We stayed in the 800 loop and I really liked that loop! I was in "heaven" and did not even listen to a radio. So it was not until probably Thursday (we arrived on Sat.) that I heard that Jeanne had looped around!! My Uncle and cousin had cabins so they had tv.
Well they evacuated us Saturday morning.
Let me tell you Disney is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They put us up in All Star Music but we have 4 kids, so guess what they gave us! 2 adjoining rooms! Now what makes this so amazing is it was at the rate of our campsite which was $28/night (military rate). Yes that is right! 2 rooms for $28 for 4 nights.
My cousins were in the cabins so they were sent to Old Key West.
I am planning on writing a trip report this weekend but wanted to let you campers know that FW does do their best to keep the magic and keep you safe. We missed 1 day at the parks and we never got to go back to FW because we left on Wed (they reopened on Wed). But you will only know how good you have it by experiencing the other side. My DH and I both agreed that we would never stay anywhere but FW if we have a choice. If we had not stayed at All Stars we probably would not have appreciated FW. So with a little bad comes a little good.
