We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

Ahhhhh.....Cute picture with the 7 Dwarfs. I have to admit, that is probably longer than I would have waited, but it is a great shot!

I love your balloon shot. I love the nighttime balloons. They are so cool. You just have to zoom in until all you see is balloon, then take your picture. It seems weird the first time you do that, but the results speak for themselves. Still, in all, a very pretty shot.

So - Exactly HOW long did you wait for Mickey and Minnie??????

Thanks! It was a pretty long wait, but it wasn't terrible! The people in line were nice, and when we got close enough to see the Dwarfs, it was entertaining at least!

The balloons at night are so pretty! I think I zoomed in a little, but then stopped because I just wanted to get it over with, for some reason I felt really weird taking a picture of balloons! :rotfl: I'll have to remember that for next time though, and just get over feeling stupid! :rotfl2:

LOL...I thought the wait for Mickey and Minnie would be crazy, but it turned out ok! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you ended up waiting for the dwarves! Your picture with them is great! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the party! popcorn::

Thanks, I'm glad we waited to! I'm glad we did it first thing, because the line just kept getting longer and longer!

The girl at CRO told me that there IS one attached to my account, but I have to call next week. She couldn't tell me anything about it, and couldn't even give me a specific day to call back...she just said "call back next week." So, we'll see!

YAY!!!!!! You got to meet the Dwarfs!! Great pic, too! I'm surprised about the cookie you had though...when we went (back in 2006, mind you) they were just regular sugar cookies and they were really good!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your night!!

Yay, I can't wait to find out what the new pins are! I've been reading on the pin/discount threads that people keep saying the new ones will be released on March 1st, I wonder what they are! I hope I get one, if it's something good! :rotfl: I really wish they would have a pin that would cover all of October!

The Dwarfs were so cute! The cookie was awful, I don't know what was wrong with it...I mean, it's a minor thing, I wasn't expecting anything great, but ugh! :rotfl2:

Love the picture with the dwarves! We didn't really meet any characters when we went...I guess that's why we were able to do so much! LOL.

Those pictures of Toontown make me sad knowing it's closed now. :sad1:

Hi I just read through your trip report! My dream resort is the Poly too, it just hasn't been in our budget yet :) I can't wait for more!

You did get a cute picture with the Dwarfs. I suppose 48 minutes could pass fairly quickly, if it was a pleasant night. There would be lots of WDW ambiance to soak up. :goodvibes

Thanks! I love meeting characters when they are dressed in special outfits, I cannot WAIT for my first MNSSHP! I really think I might have to go to 2!

I'm so sad Toontown is closed. I need to take a trip to Disneyland to see theirs, I've heard it's better than the WDW one anyway!:)

Hi I just read through your trip report! My dream resort is the Poly too, it just hasn't been in our budget yet :) I can't wait for more!

Hi, :welcome:! Isn't the Poly amazing? I really hope to get to stay there someday! :cool1:

Thanks! The 48 minute wait wasn't so bad! There were times when I'd get impatient, but it would pass quickly! :rotfl: And I'm easily amused, so once I was close enough to see them, I just watched them because they are just so adorable! :woohoo:

Yay for meeting the seven dwarves! That is such a rare and awesome Disney opportunity! I love the picture- you look beautiful!

I would love to do MVMCP someday. The decorations are gorgeous! We really enjoyed seeing all of the Christmas stuff in December.

YAY! Mickey and Minnie together! That's awesome! I can't wait!! popcorn::

Great update! Your pic with the seven dwarves turned out great (way better than any of ours)! Worth the wait! Bummer your cookie wasn't good. I'm not big on sugar cookies, but I had a couple and they were okay. We really were going through hot chocolate quick on our chilly MVMCP night, though.

I hope you get to see Mickey and Minnie together! We didn't at the party, but had a surprise run in with them at AK! Who knew? :confused3 Pretty cool!

Sounds like a great start to your MVMCP, yay for the seven dwarves! Love the mouse houses all lit up. Hope you were able to meet Mickey and Minnie without standing in line too long.

Thanks! :) I'm actually hoping to meet them again during the Halloween party, they're so cute! I'm just hoping to get there a little earlier this time!

You should definitely try to do MVMCP someday, it's so much fun! I really hope I can do a long weekend trip in December, just for the party and the Candlelight Processional, but we'll see! That's still so far away!

Thanks! I was surprised how decent the picture came out! It was one of the ones I REALLY wanted to be good, so I'm glad it was! Some of our PP pics from the next day are terrible!

It's weird that the sugar cookie was not good, I mean, how hard is it to make sugar cookies? :confused3 They were pretty though, with red and green sprinkles on them! :lmao:

You saw Mickey and Minnie together at AK? How fun! I've always wanted to meet them together!

Sounds like a great start to your MVMCP, yay for the seven dwarves! Love the mouse houses all lit up. Hope you were able to meet Mickey and Minnie without standing in line too long.

Aren't the houses so pretty with the lights? I love Minnie's house especially, and how her lights are pinks and purples, so girly! :woohoo:

Holiday Wishes!

Hi everyone, Happy March! I can't stand March, it's my least favorite month! It always seems to go by SO slowly, and by now, I'm ready for nicer weather! BUT my ticker finally changed to 6 months, so that's exciting, and I've only got a few more updates for this TR, and then I'll be able to start my PTR for my October trip, hopefully at the end of this month! I'm having a tough time thinking of a good title though, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Day 7, 11/18, Part 4

Brandon and I went into the Judges Tent (that is what it's called right, where you meet Mickey? I honestly can't remember!) and got in line to meet Mickey and Minnie. The line wasn't too bad, it definitely was no where close to the line for the Dwarves! Unfortunately, it was not moving. At. All.

After a few minutes of not moving, Brandon started getting annoyed and saying we should leave, and I kind of agreed with him. I didn't mind waiting, but I didn't feel like listening to him whine at the same time, and it was kind of weird that no one was moving! I felt weird just leaving though, so I said "why don't we just stay a little while longer and see what happens?"

They eventually started letting people in, but they did it in groups. When it was our turn, they asked how many we had, and we said 2, and they led us into a room, which I thought was like, a holding area, but there were Mickey and Minnie, right there! I have to say, I was a little underwhelmed by their greeting area...it was basically just a room with some Christmas decorations thrown in. Nothing like Minnie's beautiful gazebo she had last year...and their outfits weren't anything spectacular either. Still, it's Mickey and Minnie together! Here's one of our Photopass pics:

Photo0058FourBySix.jpg

It's not great, I know. I had them take pics with my camera and the PP, and this is the best one out of like, 6 different shots. I don't know what my problem was, I couldn't smile like a normal human being! But at least I have my picture with Mickey and Minnie, even if it's not the greatest!

We left Toontown, for what would be the very last time ever :sad1: and walked towards Tomorrowland.

IMG_2204.jpg

Just to remind us where we are, I guess!

Space Mountain looked so pretty, with the snowflakes projected on it, so I had to get a pic

IMG_2205.jpg

and we noticed there was practically no wait, so we went on it while we were there!

After our quick ride on Space Mountain, we went over to our spot to watch Holiday Wishes, which was going to be starting soon. Our spot is the bridge to Adventureland. We sat there last year, on a bench, and had such a great view, and it was nice to just sit and relax, and watch the fireworks, and not be crazy trying to get the best spot ever! So we thought we'd try that again.

After a few minutes of sitting and waiting, I got bored and went over to the hub to take more pictures of the castle. I made my way right up to the front of the castle, and I couldn't believe how empty it was! I mean, it wasn't empty, but you could just walk through and not shove anyone aside, and there were lots of places left to stand!

Here is my FAVORITE picture of the castle from this trip:

IMG_2219.jpg

Isn't it amazing! I'm so glad I got a picture of it changing color!

I went back to Brandon and told him how empty it was in front of the castle, so he suggested we move over there! Fine with me, I was hoping to get some good pictures of the fireworks for once, instead of my terrible ones!

Finally, Holiday Wishes began! I have lots of great pictures from these fireworks, so I'm just going to post my favorites, I know you guys have all seen fireworks pics before!

This was one of my favorite parts of Holiday Wishes! The song playing was "O Christmas Tree" and they fireworks behind the castle were in the shape of a tree!

IMG_2247.jpg

IMG_2252.jpg

Another one of my favorite parts!

The end!

IMG_2266.jpg

At the end of Holiday Wishes, they do the fireworks where they are all around you, which is hard to capture on a camera, but Brandon took a video of it on his phone!

Holiday Wishes is my favorite nighttime show in all of WDW! I love it more than regular Wishes, even more than Illuminations! There's just something so special about it, with all the holiday songs and the extra Disney touches! I can't wait to see Hallowishes, I've heard that it's even better, but I'll believe that when I see it!

Up next...the parade!!

I love when they do perimeter fireworks. It doesn't matter what show it's for, if it's the perimeter, I love them :yay:

I love the fireworks pics! Your camera did a better job than mine! I like the Mickey Minnie pic! If I go back with friends at Xmas, we'll put that on our list to do!

I love Holiday Wishes, too. It's nice that you were able to get a good spot without lengthy waiting. And you got some great fireworks pictures. I never take fireworks pictures. I'm always afraid I'll miss something cause I'll be busy messing with the camera. I love looking at fireworks pictures, though. :thumbsup2

I think Holiday Wishes is the only time I've seen them do that! They do it for Hallowishes too, right? I can't wait!

Thanks! I usually take terrible fireworks pictures, I guess I got the right setting that night! Too bad I can't remember what I did with my camera for next time!

Ugh, I don't like our Mickey and Minnie picture at all, but whatever, there's always next time! I hope you get to meet them together, it's definitely cute seeing them together!

It's funny, every time I go to Disney and watch the fireworks, I tell myself I'm not going to even bother with pictures, because I just want to enjoy it, but I can't resist! And then I end up getting annoyed because my pictures are terrible! Next time I think I might just watch. Well. Except for Hallowishes, since I've never seen that before. I might need a few pictures of that! :rotfl2:

March is your least favorite month? Really? I think February is mine! But I know what you mean. You get a few nice days in March - just to be a tease. But then Spring never really comes when you want it to.

Your firework pictures turned out really great. And so did your Mickey and Minnie shot! So glad you got a good spot for the fireworks and I hope you get an equally good spot for the parade.

:woohoo: for 6 months!

wow you caught some awesome fireworks shots! i have to ask because i ask everyone... what kind of camer do you have?

Ooo, so cool that you saw all seven dwarfs! I think I'd be a little scared if I were surrounded by all of them at once. Haha, I don't know why I thought of that, but I usually look at something and try to figure out what about it could potentially frighten me!

I like how Disney has different versions of Wishes. It's brilliant on their part because it makes people want to go during different times of the year!

I think your picture with Mickey and Minnie looks great! I have never seen them in those outfits before!

Wow, I didn't notice the snowflakes on Space Mountain on our trip! That is so cool!

Ahhh, your castle/fireworks pictures are awesome! :thumbsup2 I really loved the Holiday Wishes fireworks, but I must say the Hallowishes fireworks are better in my opinion. I can't wait for you to see them and decided for yourself! :)

Ugh, yeah, I'm not a big fan of March! I'm glad 3 days are over already! Really, I just want it to be April so I can make my ADR's! I feel like I've been waiting forever!

Thanks, I'm really happy with the fireworks pics, I never get good ones! :rotfl:

wow you caught some awesome fireworks shots! i have to ask because i ask everyone... what kind of camer do you have?

Thanks! I have a Canon camera, just a little point and shoot. I honestly never get good fireworks shots...I don't know how that happened, I got lucky! I always see a lot of people saying they like Canons, but I'm not really happy with mine, although, maybe a more expensive model would be better! I want to get a new camera before I go to WDW in October, but I don't know what to get either! If you get any recommendations, let me know! :thumbsup2

LOL, I do the same thing, I can always take basically any situation and find out what could go wrong and freak out about it! But the Dwarves? They're harmless!!! :rotfl: :goodvibes

I love the different versions of Wishes! I can't wait to see Hallowishes! It's kind of sad though, that's the last version of Wishes I'll have to look forward to!

I think your picture with Mickey and Minnie looks great! I have never seen them in those outfits before!

Thanks! :goodvibes I've never seen them in those outfits either, I didn't really like them, they weren't very fancy!

Aren't those snowflakes on SM so cute? I love all the added details they have at the Christmas party!

I can't believe Hallowishes is better than Holiday Wishes! I know that's what everyone says, but I just can't believe it, I cannot wait to see it! I know I'm going to like the parade better, but the fireworks? I'll just have to wait and see for that one! :rotfl2:

Once Upon a Christmastime!

Day 7, 11/18, Part 5

Once Holiday Wishes was over, we had some time to kill before the parade was going to start, so we decided to walk through Adventureland and see what was going on there.

IMG_2269.jpg

I thought these snowflakes on the ground were pretty!

IMG_2272.jpg

We stopped for a few minutes in front of POTC because there was a band playing Christmas songs. I thought they were alright, they were kind of Carribbean-y, Island-y music. Brandon really liked them! Once we were finished listening to them, we went on POTC, since it was right there, and there was no wait! Always a fun ride...although, we were both really confused on this ride, we both thought the boat was going the wrong way! I still don't understand why, something just seemed off! Maybe we went on Maelstrom one too many times!

We then made our way into Fronteirland, where we were going to watch the parade, which is what we did last year. I wanted a good spot this year to take pictures, since last year was so dark, so I stood right under one of the lights, hoping that would help. I took some practice shots, and the light was too bright! So I made us move to the other side and didn't like that spot...so we went back to where we started...and then back to the other side...then down a little further...Brandon was ready to kill me! :rotfl: We finally settled where we started, just a little farther down towards Liberty Square.

Finally, the parade started!

IMG_2297.jpg

*Sniff* That's where I got the name for my PTR for this trip! Seems like forever ago already that I started that PTR!

I don't really have great pictures from the parade, unfortunately. My camera does not like night shots, or shots where there is movement, so it was hard to get any good pictures!

IMG_2299.jpg

I couldn't believe I only got the back of this! I missed it by like 2 feet!

IMG_2300.jpg

Blurry Mickey and Minnie:

IMG_2303.jpg

IMG_2315.jpg

Cinderella!

IMG_2318.jpg

I love Goofy's float!

IMG_2324.jpg

IMG_2333.jpg

One of my better pictures, I love these Toy Soldiers! I love how they clomp around in those wooden shoes!

IMG_2334.jpg

The reindeer were my favorite part last year, because they were so crazy and got right in your face...this year, they must have told them to tone it down a little, because they didn't really do that this year!

IMG_2337.jpg

The end of the parade...Sandy Claws!

IMG_2341.jpg

I love that parade, I end up singing that song for days after it's over! I can't imagine not seeing it this year!

After the parade was over, we didn't really know what to do, we were getting kind of tired, but I wasn't ready to leave yet.

I took more pictures of the castle

IMG_2344.jpg

and we got a PP picture taken

Photo0062FourBySix.jpg

and eventually we made our way to Main Street.

We got another PP picture taken

Photo0065FourBySix.jpg

and I went into the jewlery store for a little while while Brandon waited outside. I probably stayed in there for a good 30 minutes, admiring the Dooney and Bourke purses! I kept going outside to ask Brandon if I should buy one! Finally, I decided not to and we left. I took my time walking out of the party, because it was our last time we would be at the Magic Kingdom on this trip. :sad1:

We had a great time at the Christmas party! We didn't do a lot in terms of attractions, but I didn't really go for the attractions! I like the parties for the special fireworks and parades, and to see the characters in their cute holiday outfits! I can't wait to go to the Halloween party this year, I know I'm going to love it!

Up next...our last day! :(
